The same mouth-breathing, web-toed FReakers who bleated indignantly about Lewinsky?

Maybe Rim's goons only get riled about straight and voluntary sex..."Paynal's" o.k. with 'em... :D

What do you expect?

Freeper cattle are like the trained sheep in Animal Farm. Their understanding of politics extends no further than being able to bleat "Republican Good, Democrat Baaaaad." Come to think of it, the FReeper is the mirror image of those people who now condemn the Bush administration for the same corruption and lies that they overlooked (or even praised) when Clinton was in office.

Howard,

I started to reply to you on Todd's thread about Gannon, but lost the post. Here I go again and this time it applies here as well. "Why is it I am not surprised by this?" and "I bet they probably make all sorts of excuses for him" I guess it is because I understand "freepthink". If the person is a "Consevative and Republican" (said with Limbaughian reverence) as verses a "Liberal and Democrat", (said with the Hannity sneer) then, that person can do whatever the hell he wishes. In Gannon's case it is not like we are dealing with Barney Frank, now is it?

Anyone who thinks that Bush and Rove didn't know what this guy was about in terms of being a "journalist" is a fool and an idiot.

Yes, Sert--you and the Anti-Yuppie are correct.

I'm not actually surprised at the hypocrisy of Sheople/FReaker-level political "thinking" (which is more a limbic reflex)...just startled that such dull-witted "Our Team" fanaticism also bounces around the inside of Dubya's skull...

Howard,

What's funny is that when I replied to you it was before AntiYuppie had posted and yet we both drew the same conclusion. Truly, great minds think alike! (just kidding, AY)

RimJob has purged thousands of Americans opposed to the Illegal invasion from Mexico--and hundreds more who put U.S. interests before Israel's...

Yet the homosexual prostitute James "Jeff Gannon" Guckert remains a FReaker in good standing:

Rim is a political prostitute himself.

Yeah, it's fine to come out in support of some sodomite Republican hack to show the world how tolerant, open-minded, & trendy you are (I'm convinced this is why ostensibly 'conservative' activists are so enthusiastic about defending a homosexualist like Gannon/Guckert).

But...utter a peep in protest at the third world invasion of your homeland--an invasion, by the way, sanctioned by a President widely hailed as a 'conservative'--and suddenly you're persona non grata.

Although I agree he has the right to pursue any job that will bring him happiness...

Oh my. What better quote to signify what has become of the Republican party and mainstream 'conservatism'. The GOP version of "if it feels good, do it".

TD,
...I have to believe that if WE found out that some MSM reporter had been a fomer? prostitute....the guns would be blazing.
This person does have it right on this point.

Unlike this self righteous fool.

Funniest part is how many of them still obsessively blame the Clintons for...well...everything. Gannon's past, Abu Ghraib, the NHL lockout....

They got the President they wanted (twice!), the ****-Europe/Israeli foreign policy they wanted, the lockdown-security State they wanted, the immigration policy they wanted, and - of course -the war they wanted. Yet without the devil-juju in place (to point to when it all goes to shit), they're as miserable as their dime-store jingoism.

I dunno from freedom, but the price of megalomania is certainly eternal vigilance. They're starting to see Clintons in cloud formations over there.

IR must mean this post:

To: kristinn This isn't about putting a stamp of approval on whatever the liberals are accusing Jeff Gannon of doing before he became a reporter, it's about the rights of citizens and reporters to exercise their First Amendment rights without fear of being personally destroyed. Exactly. Once again, the Clintonista's have reared their ugly heads and shown that the politics of personal destruction is alive and well - within their ranks.

This personal attack on Jeff Gannon just sickens me.

There but for the grace of God go you or me!!!! And that is exactly the point. It could be anyone - anyone that the Clinton's decide they need to shut up and shut down. When it comes to their interests, the First Amendment does NOT apply.

I will be with you in spirit if not in body.

I wonder how long it takes Hannity and Rush to climb on the band wagon. Plenty of opportunities to bitch about "liberals and democrats." Hell, these idiots probably tell their kids when they misbehave that if they don't stop it Clinton will come and get them.
