On March 25th Jews celebrate Purim, the most joyous and fun festival on their calendar...A carnival type festival when observant Jews are actually encouraged to get drunk...A festival that a Roman Law dated way back in 408, forbid Jews on that day from insulting Christians and burning a model of the cross...A festival that celebrates revenge: The hanging of a man named Haman, his ten sons, and the slaughter of thousands of Gentiles.

As I compared this vengeful Jew holiday to our Christian love holidays I could see why God is never mentioned throughout the book of Esther; Jews joyously celebrate bloody revenge, while Christians celebrate love, hope, and redemption.

'The Jews were behind all the persecutions of the Christians...They traveled throughout the country hating and undermining the Christian faith,' St. Justin

"As I compared this vengeful Jew holiday to our Christian love holidays I could see why God is never mentioned throughout the book of Esther"

.....Personally, I don't believe the book of esther to be canonical...

Purim is not a just a Jewish festival, that is unscriptural.

These are the festivals of the Lord.

What are you babbling about now, Scripturesez? What is your position on the Purim festival?

The Torah of Moses as given by Yeshua. Jesus. The Written Torah.

Jesus told you to keep the Festivals of The Lord. Its is a command.

Not a command of fear and binding and trouble, but of fun and learning.

Purim a picture of Jesus, of salvation and rescue.

Purim is all about Jesus Yeshua. After all that's what the Scriptures are all about.

I know your word "babbliing" is an attept to insult and written to me out of fear of the truth.

But when you have the truth you have no fear and no need to insult.

"Purim a picture of Jesus, of salvation and rescue."

..... ...

.....That's the craziest thing I've read in some time...

Sertorius...

.....I still maintain the purim statement is the craziest; the statement from Kay Arthur is the most disgusting... she should be deported to the "israel"-LIE so she can live among those whom she loves...

Patrick,

Yeah. Both quotes are pretty hideous. She should be given a one way ticket on the next El Al flight. In Israel she can be a total kissass for her masters. This woman I regard as no less than an out and out traitor along with most of the people at this convention.

That's a real big 10-4 Sertorius! Thanks for your input.

You are having difficulty with what the Bible says, and you are going against the commands of God himself.

1 John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

If you want to abide in Yeshua, you must walk like Yeshua if you do not do the words of the Torah, as He gave them to you.

I assure you Yeshua was keeping the Feasts and Festivals of the Lord, it says so in the New Testament. You are not walking like Him, but walking after another teaching.

Stop and think since the church began in the wilderness with Moses, then why did God change all the commands?

Impossible God does not change nor is he a man that he would lie.

Think for yourselves.

Prove it to me by Scripture then.

Greetings SCRIPTURESEZ,

I see you are very familiar with the Bible, so would you do me a favor?

Please go to my post in the Miscellaneous section of this OD Forum and view my post 'Sex Experts.' I would like to get your scriptural commentary on the Orthodox Jewish practice of women shaving their heads bald as part of the marriage ritual.

I make this request as a fellow Christian seeking understanding, so I hope you will not take a defensive position, and think I'm trying to be a smart-butt.

I honestly desire your comments, as this is a very strange religious rite I had never heard of.

Regards, vytis

*"Patrick

Prove it to me by Scripture then."*

Prove what?

.....That "purim" is mentioned only in the uncanonical book of esther, (the "jew"), and that it has zero to do with Our Christ?

Then you do not know Jesus. Nor the Scriptures.

Patrick I ask you what are the Scriptures?

What is the Torah given to Moses? And by Whom was it given?

.....I believe I can hold my own with you in Scripture, as well as the History, (read: His Story), to which it applies; you haven't explained what it is you wish to know very well...
