Aha! With a little help from the Italian-English dictionary. Unless some other meaning was meant, but it does seem to fit.

I thought "Il Ragno" might be some sort of literary character, maybe from renaissance Italy, who made witty and considered posts to paleoconservative/racialist websites, but used the moniker to disguise his affiliation with the Medicis.

Well, it ain't like I was keeping it a secret or anything.

Ragno = spider.

Pretty cut and dried; besides, after giving it some thought, I decided that Doge Were The Days, Vinnie Vedi Vinci and even The Rootless Neapolitan all lacked sufficient dignity.

He's small. He's quiet. But he carries a load of poison strong enough to kill an infant. Bwahahahahaha!

I remember a Loretta Lynn [oops! Loretta Young] show I saw as a child, where she pulled the covers off her sleeping daughter -- and there :oh: was a black widow spider!

Was that you Il ragno?

How about my turkey head avatar.

Do you think that lacks dignity?
Heh. I thought Il Ragno was a brand of spaghetti sauce.
No, no, no -- Il Ragno is the Norse apocalypse.
