Mexican (legal/illegal? I can't find out, but his wife is said to have not "[spoken] English very well") upset by custody dispute goes on shooting rampage outside Tyler, TX courthouse.

Disgusting story. This piece of crap Arroyo (with a long rap sheet, natch) guns down several people in cold blood and finally gets popped by the Tyler PD. I hope it hurt.
A citizen (Mark Wilson) tried to stop him with his own gun and by all accounts, hit him, but the shooter was wearing a flak jacket and body armor, so he wasn't stopped, then killed the good samaritan. I knew the citizen, Wilson. Not well, mind you. I had only been in his shop a couple of times, but he was a very decent man and I'm sorry that he's yet another vicitim of the insane multicultural system that sees turd-worlders' petty squabbles erupt on our public squares in formerly quiet towns.
Some observations on the case. There's absolutely no cover in the wide-open square where the shooting took place. Many of you from Texas are familiar with the designs of the squares of Texas County Seats, with the courthouse in the middle, surrounded by open space, bordered by storefronts. Tyler is similar, but the open space is very large. Mark Wilson never had a chance. That brings up another conflicting detail. Some accounts maintain that Wilson was already there and simply engaged Arroyo with his concealed-carry gun, to his cost, while others say that Wilson lived in an apartment above a shop bordering the square and left his home to try and stop the shooter. If the latter, it doesn't make sense that he would bring a pistol to use against someone with a semi-auto rifle (and it would be obvious from the noise of the shooting that's what was being used). I cannot imagine what went through Wilson's mind when he saw that his gun was useless due to the armor. Maybe he realized what Arroyo was wearing, maybe not. I think from now on it would behoove anyone who tries to intervene in something like that to assume the perp is armored and make shot placements accordingly (i.e. in the head). Not faulting Wilson, though. It would hard-press anyone to make head shots with a pistol against a moving target that's shooting back at you with an AK. I guess the lesson is to bring a rifle, something that could punch through body armor, or not engage at all, unless you can be darn sure a pistol shot's going to put the guy down.
What's happening to Tyler? First that simian kills the poor Wal Mart clerk, now this.
Oh, and I smell another Law and Order episode coming up...
