Several years ago an artist named Andres Serrano toured the United States displaying his 'artistic skills.'...A photograph of a crucifix immersed in urine.

Not long after, another artist known as Chris Ofili, proudly displayed his Africanized image of the Virgin Mary embellished with elephant dung and porn magazine clippings. Ofili is a Black convert to the Catholic Church...A prized addition I'm sure!

Was there a cry of outrage from the Christian community over these vulgar and blasphemous displays, especially from Catholics? Not really.

Imagine (we know) how the Muslim world would react if their religious symbols were trashed and desecrated. And what about the Jews? They go nuts every time anyone says something even slightly negative about their beloved 'never forget' holocaust icon.

On the other hand, most Christians today it seems, no matter how publicly ridiculed and blasphemed our Saviour, simply roll their eyes and go back to their church dinners and games.

You know it hasn't been all that long ago when Serrano, Ofili, and others of their ilk, would never dream of desecrating our religion and culture, for fear of a terrible national backlash.

Now however, our judaized churches and nation have regressed to such a low level, that every 'artistic & media prostitute' who marches behind the 'arts & entertainment' banner, have become so embolden, they freely display their vulgar trash; justify it with the 'freedom of artistic expression' label, and go on their way applauded and unchallenged.

I, for one think it's time for change. The era of this Christian 'turn the other cheek' mentality regarding those who blaspheme our Saviour, and sin against our people on a national scale must end...A new era must be innaugurated where those who spread their 'soul poison' to even the smallest community, end up on the wrong end of a rope.

Thunder from the pulpits you priests and preachers and send this message: 'You cultural and spiritual termites understand and be forwarned. Your Christ-insulting, soul-defiling, and soul-destroying days are numbered: in art, in film, in music, in the written word, and finally in television.'

I'll close with this suggestion to Serrano and Ofili...Read and meditate on these words of a top National Socialist official in regards to art: 'A true artist would never prostitute their work...The true artist shares their gift with the community, and their work always includes the uplifting and harmonious...The good artist always strives to inspire, not degrade or blaspheme.'

I remember The Catholic League going on television and protesting it, but I think they were the only ones doing it. The American public, and American Catholics in general, no doubt saw it is just artistic expression, even if a good number of them thought it was downright awful. What passes for art today is politics, and kosher certified right down to the littlest nook-and-cranny.

Robbie, thanks for your input.

I wrote the Catholic League and never got a reply.

Oh well. I know I'm spittin in the wind when I write protest letters, and post on OD, but what the heck! It's a good way to vent, and keeps the blood pressure down. :wallbash:

God bless you, vytis
