Who were these people? Check your British history. Basically just your north British Celts (ancestors of the Scottish). The Romans called them "Picts" cause they liked to paint their bodies in wartime

I doubt actually if anyone really knows, as with most people whose origins are pre-historical.
Actually I dont think Prof. Waddell was Christian let alone Identity.
Maybe, but I haven't heard anyone but CI's much interested in this stuff.

So because, CI uses it, it is speculation and therefore untrue?
Maybe, but I haven't heard anyone but CI's much interested in this stuff.

So because, CI uses it, it is speculation and therefore untrue?
Not necessarily. But you definitely want to doublecheck the integrity and reliability of both the source itself and the way the CI's use it IMO.

sort of ties in with the speculations of the "Celtic South" drum-beaters.

Hmmm...I've actually heard many Southerners maintain that the Civil War was also a racial struggle between the Celtic South and the Anglo-Saxon North.

I believe that you've stated being originally from the North, but now reside in the South. Could your antipathy toward this idea of a Celtic South arise from your non-Celtic roots, i.e., do you resent being considered an invader by real Southerners? I admit that this is nothing but psychological speculations; nonetheless, my experience has been that those who oppose the "Celtic South" concept do it out of ulterior motives and secret resentment.

Most people who participate in politics to some extent have ulterior motives and secret resentments, which you should I think be in a good position to know. And almost all non-Southerners I've met find much if not most about Southern Nationalism in particular as well as the South in general to be silly, which again you of all people should know. Its just the details they disagree on.

Let me know after you've compared your list with mine.
