Is McDonald's some sort of anti-cultural evil? Or is it a good way to keep criminals in a shitty job so they are less likely to steal? From talking to cops, they say they are in McDonalds arresting employees weekly :-)

Profit is opposed to culture.

I don't eat there much anymore. It's not like it was in the late 80's when I was a pre-teen. I remember when they actually had fried apple pies, with the bubbly, crispy crust, and not the "baked" monstrosities they serve now. I also liked the Cheddar Melt. Additionally, somehow I remember McD's being cleaner--seems lately when I go to a McDonald's, there's debris all over the floor, the floor is sticky with dried soft drinks, and the ketchup dispenser is empty (once it served me pale red water instead of ketchup--apparently they attempted to "clean" it and stopped somewhere in the middle of the process). I still like the filet-o-fish, though.
If you're going to do the fast food thing, go to Wendy's--you get better food, and the restaurants themselves are cleaner and more orderly. Of course, local conditions may vary. Somehow I suspect my McDonald's experience has changed in quality because here in South Carolina the staff is primarily Negro, while back in Massachusetts you had more Whites (especially the further back you go in time).
BTW, I doubt the guy in the commercials who plays the "unofficial spokesman for Wendy's" would be as open and honest as I was in this post.

I used to work at Carl Jr's when I was in ninth/tenth grades.
Not bad for a first job, really.
I avoid fast food for the most part now, although I occasionally hit the In N' Out Burger.

We had a black working in a McDonald's just get busted for putting ground glass in a cop's Big Mac. After his arrest he said, "I just hate cops". It will be interesting to see how much time he gets.

I went to McDonalds once when I was in France (mon Dieu!) and there were all cute blonde girls working there. Yea, they were very criminal, indeed.

I felt like a bit of a tool for eating at McDonalds when I was in Europe, but I was on a very limited budget, and good food is expensive.

No, no, no.
Mickey D's isn't evil, it's KFC that's in league with the devil.
Just ask Al Sharpton.*
*Though I do wonder if it has anything to do with the Colonel's lackeys not offering Sharpton a "big eater's club" discount.

McDonalds is famous for hiring urban Blacks, of course. Round about these parts, here in the once-Golden State, McDonalds employees are almost exclusively illegal aliens from the Mexico-Nicaragua corridor. Most don't even bother to learn to speak English, yet are still hired by a major American corporation, pathetically enough.
