Sounds like something Feith would have come up with, but he was probably too busy approving new forgery projects....
I don't have much to say here; the subject line was pretty much it, although maybe some of you might have something to add?

No matter what day they hold it on, it's bound to be the anniversary of something or other, so that's probably meaningless. January 30th is also the anniversary of when Hitler became Chancellor of Germany (1933) and when he called for the extermination of the Jews (1939). Of course, I only know that because of Google :nerd:
Speaking of trivia, the Islamic calendar has only 254 days a year, so whatever day January 30 2005 equates to in their calendar falls on a different date in the Gregorian calendar every year. I wonder if the date means anything special to them?

Have you heard about the Iraqi voting centers in cities around the US? One is in Nashville, so I have been subjected to incessant 'heartwarming' radio reports about thousands and thousands of resident Iraqis going to vote in Nashville. Of course, the never-asked questions is -- why are there thousands and thousands of Iraqis in Tennessee (or the Mid-south region) in the first place?

No, that question is never asked. Of course, the answer is that everytime the U.S. starts messing around in the third world a net result is that we wind up with thousands of those people over here. Those Iraqis were allowed over here courtesy of Geo. H. W. Bush.

This makes it all the more interesting, that the anniversary of Tet would come the day after this much touted election and the expectation that it will begin to resolve this mess.
Very interesting. I like stuff like this. My left brain chalks this stuff up as statistically insignificant coincidence and projection of the human mind. My right brain says, "Wow, this is evidence for my suspicion that history repeats itself." My whole brain, my intuition, suggests to me that in the grand scheme of the cosmos, there is not a causative factor at work, but an ever-so-slight clue that the cosmos has embedded sort of natural historical puns in its unfolding.
