AUSTIN, Texas -- Gays can kiss in Texas -- but that was news to a state trooper.

Department of Public Safety Trooper Michael Carlson got into trouble for telling two gay men who were kissing at the state Capitol that homosexual conduct is illegal in Texas.

One of the men is John Corvino, who teaches at Wayne State University in Detroit.

Corvino and another man were kissing in September while sitting on a park bench in Austin. In a complaint filed with the Texas Department of Public Safety, Corvino said the trooper told them, "We won't have you doing this on Capitol grounds."

One of the men complained to authorities. Carlson has been placed on job probation for six months and given a written reprimand. Carlson also must get more training on state laws.

For the record, Texas doesn't outlaw same sex kissing. Last year, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down the state's anti-sodomy law.
Faggots kissing at the Texas State Capitol??? Hell has frozen over!

Maybe you were stating that tongue in cheek, but in case you did not know, Austin is a VERY liberal city.
Maybe you were stating that tongue in cheek, but in case you did not know, Austin is a VERY liberal city.
True, but it was a state Trooper, not a city cop. Sad reflection on our neighbor to the South, which, truth be known, seems to be going downhill lately. Look at what's happened to Longhorns - they're a bunch of patsies now. Rumour has it someone had to tell Mack Brown if his team didn't spend more time hitting and less time patting each other's behind, they wouldn't be able to beat Baylor.

Wonder if the reconquista has triggered another quiet "runaway scrape" of some of the best Texans, aka Californio. I know for sure in the old days there were enough good ole Bubba's in Texas to put an end to this sort of hanky panky, at least on Capitol Grounds!

Maybe it's just the dubbya degradation.

Austin is a liberal oasis in the midst of farmer-and-rancher counties whose denizens have better things to do than travel to Austin for any reason, much less beat down some homosexual spit-swappers.

This kind of stuff you would not see in Giddings, I assure you.

Worry about Oklahoma and we'll take care of Texas, m'kay?

Besides, Texas hasn't had a football team in many a moon. They're consistently overrated by the sports and local media (and how!!). They're great when they run up 60-point leads over a powerhouse like the Rice Owls or the East Kentucky Bumf**k Agricultural College Cowhands, but when they run up against a program that has its fecal matter gathered, like say, uh, Oklahoma (dammit) then they usually get their asses handed to them. They haven't been able to tackle, for cripe's sake, for the last ten years.

This kind of stuff you would not see in Giddings, I assure you. Good to hear it. Although don't underestimate the power of one bad apple, as I thought driving the I-35 corridor back from Austin, and keeping my yes open I thought - "this ain't your grandpa's Texas". Austinism can spread.

Worry about Oklahoma and we'll take care of Texas, m'kay? Agreed - we've got plenty nuff to concern ourselves about here. But Texas has always had a way of drawing interlopers - good and bad - into its affairs. That's how it became what it is, ne c'est pa?

No wonder, they couldn't tackle in games! .

I coudn't figure that out - maybe the tone of rotten Austin has rubbed off on the football team, making them softies. I know Texan's have always had a little underhanded penchant for hanky panky now and then, but when this thing spreads to the football team..........

Next thing you know they'll all be running to the borders in another "runaway scrape". Just a hop skip and a jump from the Red River I've gotto be concerned a little. Besides, if Texas goes bad, where will Oklahoma get all its football players?

.
I'm more worried that these faggots are teachers. I wouldn't want this type of person around my children. Trying to tell people that its "ok" to be gay. God in all his wisdom is against it, and Aids is proof that he is.

Yes, the fact that one of these rump wranglers is a professor bothers me far more than the mere fact that the sodomites are enjoying the fruits of their victory over the Texas sodomy statute (and in any event, kissing was never banned). I doubt you'd have to travel to some place I've never heard of, like Giddings, for this to be inadvisable conduct within the Texas Republic, but I'm just guessing. Hell, there are still places here in California where you wouldn't necessarily want to try your luck in that regard....

Personally, I'm just thankful the state trooper tried to put a stop to it; to me its sort of a given that he'd run afoul of his supervisors when so doing (but do you really think their heart was in this rather mild reprimand?) They're just rendering a little unto Sheckie, until such time as they no longer feel intimidated into doing so (that's where folks like us come in - showing them that there are people who can be a greater threat to Sheckie than Sheckie can be to them - and that they're right welcome to join us in the glorious task of cleansing the nation of the sort of people who tell them they can't give the bum's rush to sodomites on the state capitol).

Does anyone recall the source of this quote? Wasn't it uttered by the President of the World Jewish Congress circa 1930? Just curious.

And I'm not sure who said the quote, but I like it none the less, because unlike most quotes this one means something.

Begging your pardon, but what did you mean by Protect the Whites, Join the Knights? What order are you referring to?
