I'm probably not good at putting my thoughts down on...electrons, but here goes.
What if the real purpose of this Iraq war is not to save Israel, or to steal Iraq's oil, or to send a message to oil nations not to convert to petro-euros. What if the purpose is to "shear the sheep." What if it's nothing more than a wealth transfer mechanism aimed at looting the treasury. By the time the dollar collapses, elite money will be safely stashed away in yuan, francs, dinar... whatever. Once the economy collapses, they can come back in and by everything back for a song and have the same workforce working for half the money. They've told us they want us to be competitive in the world market!
What if the Neocons have been duped by the guys in the energy sector.
The same kind of thing happened in Houston in the 1980's With a change in banking laws, northern banks started investing in oil boom real estate. Once they were hyper extended the oil economy magically collapsed. I can remember entire communities that were only about 1/3 full. Houses could be had for about 60 cents on the dollar.
What happens to the federal reserve banks if the value of the dollar undergoes a catastrophic devaluation?
Maybe this is kind of the same thing, but on a grander scale.
Just idle speculation...
What if the purpose is to "shear the sheep."
I'm sure they have multiple objectives, multiple agendas and multiples strategies. Look at each one separately and ask youself "Qui bono?". Who benefits? The answer usually comes back to the same entity.

You are right Travis "All roads leads to Rome".
No matter how you look at it the reason always goes back to them.

Ask someone who supportst he Iraq war what his reason is. You might have to push a little to get past "Everyone thought Saddam had WMDs."

Is there only one set of elites, or are there competing factions. My thought is that there are those that we talk about in this forum, certainly. Are they unopposed in power politics? We know that they control banking and telecommunications. What about heavy industry? How much of that do they control? Energy production, manufacturing. Where are the battle lines drawn. Are there battle lines?

Indo? that question is to sophisticated for me. As an X professional soldier for 21 years I fought for five countrys in six wars but I always fought for justice without caring who was who.
As a matter of fact in 79 I was with the Sandinistas in Nicaragua and as you know the US was supporting the dictators of the Somozas brothers.
How crazy am I? well, at a club I used to go back in the 70's a 6'6'' 285 lbs guy was almost killing this guy who was about 6' and a lot smaller. I went and pick up the big guy by the waist and nock him to one side, the guy got up and I told him to pick on someone his own size and he began to laugh,,,,,, I was only 5'8'' and 150 lbs at the time. By the way, all three of us became friends.
