On the welcome page to that great site, Brimelow is asking for cash. Really sucks, b/c it appears they are going down the tubes (better economy is my theory).
Check out their 2 year Alexas:

Anyone have the reason for their steep drop in viewers, or their cash crunch?

Dunno. Although, it's not dissimilar to the situation of our or any other paleo sites. We all lead a precarious existance, with regard to funding and even publicity.
Although shute. If we lose vdare, we can still always read Raggy, Fade, and Co over at the Phora. That's sure a group that's really gonna change the world. They'll probably even tell us how they don't miss Vdare cause it wasn't hardline enough. (And of course types like that probably never send a dime in)
Here's the article BTW,
Technical problems on donation link NOW FIXED! (We hope).
Fulford, Malkin, Bevens on Christmas, Blog tonight...just scroll to the bottom, pausing to MAKE A DONATION!
From: Peter Brimelow [URGENT!]
Dear Friend of VDARE.COM:
Each year as Christmas approaches, we document a now-routine occurrence that was unthinkable not long ago.
I refer to the War Against Christmas as it has been traditionally recognized and celebrated in the public square.
Hand in glove with that war is Hollywood's ongoing war on Christianityââ¬âand America. New lows are reached every year.
A professed Christian and patriot is in the White House. His party dominates both houses of Congressââ¬âand the federal judiciary! But it seems not to matter.
It won't surprise you to learn the War Against Christmas goes arm in arm with the multiculturalism and mass immigrationââ¬ânightmares that both political parties have manufactured.
But it probably would surprise you to learn that it was VDARE.COM that first really spotlighted and documented the War Against Christmas as a national trend.
Indeed, despite the enveloping crisis, VDARE.COM is still the only websiteââ¬âindeed, media outlet of any sortââ¬âto provide this service daily.
The response? Copycat reports in conservative media, and now on the huge talk-radio circuit. Plus intense VDARE.COM reader involvement. We have become the clearinghouse. Fresh daily examples of the Anti-Christmas movement's reach are pouring into our office.
Yet what has conspicuously not poured in is funding.
Good online reporting comes through careful oversight and editing.
Blogs, to be any good, also require an editor.
But VDARE.COM cannot provide a large enough editing team at this point, either for the Christmas "rush" or for the cascade of immigration developments we sort through and cover every day.
VDARE.COM cannot provide the staffing because VDARE.COM is hurting financially. Some supporters have been truly generous. But we need many more such generous donations to keep pace with the remarkable growth of VDARE.COM and its expanding demands on our staff time.
So I am turning to you (admittedly with a degree of WASP discomfort) with an outstretched paw.
Thus far, VDARE.COM has been totally free to readers. And we need to remain free in order to expand our reach and educate more of the American public.
Our own tracking data shows that we are systematically exceeding the dramatic growth of web use in the U.S. over the past half-decade, as most of country goes online.
That growth rate shows no signs of slowing. But VDARE.COM now urgently requires your help.
As a non-profit, we need tax-deductible donations. I'm told that, with tax considerations on the minds of so many, this is the most opportune time of year to appeal for them.
I hope that the time is equally right for you: Will youââ¬âcan you?ââ¬âjoin our 2004 funding campaign and become one of our new donors?
I hereby make the following campaign promises.
With $96,000 in year-end donations, VDARE.COM can and will:
</font>
Enlarge and expand the Blog to include the choicest specimens of Easter Season Christophobia. (Included: analysis of the Annual New York Times Holy Week Attack)
Provide a minimum of 100 reportsââ¬âat least one every 3.5 daysââ¬âof Mexican (and other) border violations
Relate the immigration/multicultural revolution to the domestic terrorist threat with at least 52 articles
Track at least once per week the deceptions of key lawmakers and the White House, contrasting what they have said with what they are doing
Continue our relentless probing of forbidden topics like IQ...racial differencesââ¬Â¦cultural incompatibility...elite stupidity and duplicity.
Introduce to you the finest new writing talent on immigration and multicultural matters. (Thus far I count two dozen people to whom VDARE.COM has given a forum. These men and women, some of them very young, are the key to the future of our cause. Yet till now, VDARE.COM has been unable to pay them what they deserve).
VDARE.COM is widely considered the leader of the nation's burgeoning anti-alien invasion movement. It has earned the (tacit) respect of many on Capitol Hill and in the Executive Branch. I count at least 221 policy-making powerbrokers or opinion molders from the traditional and web news media who go to us regularly.
That's an astounding reach, given our budget of less than $500,000 per year.
But it doesn't surprise me. Because it's an acknowledged fact that senators and congressmen and their key staffers, especially those on the immigration subcommittees, check in daily with VDARE.COM (I talk to some personally).
We increasingly see VDARE.COM reports quotedââ¬âusually without attribution!ââ¬âon NBC News, and Fox and C-Span too.
The New York Times, still unfortunately the key political organ, mentioned our stories twice (to be fair, both times with attribution) in the weeks leading up to the Presidential Election.
My friend, the plain truth is that VDARE.COM cannot successfully manage the growth in readership and in publicity any longer with its current staff.
Christmas is traditionally the time of generosity. It inspires millions of Americans to give to causes they cherish.
So I am turning to you, hoping against hope that you can volunteer some cash.
I am in fact inviting youââ¬âcringe!ââ¬âto consider VDARE.COM as the charity case that we unfortunately are.
Can you possibly spare a gift of $100 or even, perhaps, $1000? (Tax-deductible!)
If not (as I expect is probable), would $75 or $50 be out of reach?
I would be more than grateful.
If you have donated in previous years, can you possibly renew your support?
The goal is to generate $96,500, which is the additional amount we need to put VDARE.COM on a firmer footing for all of 2005.
If just 965 of our 200,000 monthly unique users can manage $100 each, we will meet the goal.
Two new editors will then be brought on board. News coverage and analysis of trends will be widened.
The Blog will be expanded dramatically.
Web ads can be placed elsewhere, generating (we estimate) 150,000 new unique visitors to VDARE.COMââ¬âa number equal to the entire circulation of National Review magazine.
I can then begin to take vacations without seeing my blood pressure increase over worries about the site in my absence!
You get the idea.
Please help if you possibly can.
And accept, not only my deepest thanks, but my Christmas best to you and yours.
Very sincerely,
Peter Brimelow
Editor
P.S. This isn't just a matter of planned expansion of VDARE.COM, although raising $96,500 will enable us to do just that. It's a matter of survival. The workload on present staff threatens to overwhelm usââ¬âespecially me! Please do help, if your situation at all permits!
Sorry, Peter, Can't Help.

The Alexas have fallen from 5,000th place to something lke 30,000th. He's had trouble on that site for much of the year after doing so well in 2003. What happened? Seriously: what is going on? Did the MacDonald articles turn away "moderates"?? Is his message & format stale (I think it is)? Is there nothing to keep people on the board, like a forum etc? --- ### travis *2004-12-16 02:01* | [User Profile](/od/user/646) [QUOTE=jay]WOW.
