You know who you are. We've had ups and downs, sure. That's all part of the game. Now listen, you might have disagreed with me on some things and may still do so, passionately, but I don't think you could ever question my integrity or went away with a feeling that I don't believe the things I espouse. I hope that's not the case, at least.

All that to say that I see alot of turmoil out there in cyber-space right now and I just wanted to extend the right hand of fellowship to my brethren and welcome back any of our members who have left for what seemed like greener pastures in months and years gone by. OD is here for you.

Give it a thought. No hard feelings on this side. Please come home.

I'm still dreaming of an exclusively WHITE Christmas.

Just like the ones I used to know.

Indeed they do, old friend. Indeed they do.

I pray you and yours have a wonderful Christmas, brother. Keep the faith.
OK Tex, thanks for the generous invite.
You're welcome, Dan. It is my sincere hope that good and well-meaning folks like yourself, who because of recent events might now be 'homeless' in cyber-land, can find something of value here at OD and a civil, respectful and comfortable environment to present and discuss your opinions on the topics of our day. With the available choices for same seemingly dwindling each passing month, I felt it my duty to extend the invitation. I trust it will bear positive results.

I've been on a 4 monthe Sabbatical.

Just got fed up with everything in general.

I'm back to enjoying life, screw it all, nobody cares.

Smoking fine cigars, building model airplanes, and all that happy stuff. Dropped out of polital forums, stopped writting letters to the editor, etc..

Absolutely NOTHING to do with OD, Tex, just my attitude.

Might be back soon, we'll see.

Good to see you. Have fun with the model airplanes. I'm about halfway through the MiG series in 1/48 myself, but it's slow going.

I'm an old stick and tissue free flight modeler, mostly small stuff that don't fly too far, because I can't chase them anymore. Damned arthritis.

I fly in abandoned parking lots etc. ,and chase with my big Lexus LS 400.

How's that for class?

Ed,

When I was a kid someone gave me a balsam wood and paper model of an ME 109. When I got done with it it looked like a shrivel up prune with a pop sickle stick run through it. Needless to say I had to reapply the skin to it. When I finally flew it I wasn't quick enought to recover it.

The damn dog got to it first.

I took an OD break myself, when it got boring. WM and Av. defnitely added spice. I like OD because it's intellectual in a way Stormfront is not, it's responsible in a way VNNforum is not, it's wise to Jews in a way Hannity.com is not, and it's nowhere near banning anti-immigrationists like freakrepublic.com. It's just right. There are Christians and paleos and white nationalists and skeptics. Vdare will mention it (but not link to it) and Linder and Strom will check in. Mainstream conservatives have heard of it. I don't know. It's a place to be. In '03, I spent a lot of time here. While I was at the office!

Hi Howard. I've seen your post in this thread for a while and felt the urge to comment. That's a very interesting question.

The vast library of Original Dissent and our past posts, all our screeds, is a priority from what I've heard.

True enough, ED. We've been blessed to have some great minds grace our pages throughout the years.

'Course, being a featured link over at Stormfront doesn't hurt too much either. Yet the thing that still puzzles me the most is that for all my efforts at bracketing the ideological tone of the board and all the truly informed and intelligent commentary that can be found here, almost all of the more mainstream conservative and nationalistic oriented web sites still refuse to acknowledge our existence by even one passing link here or there. One would think that the more savvy among them would try to hitch our 32,000+ visitors a month to their wagon, but they don't. Go figure.

But then again, maybe that's a blessing in disguise that keeps us seemingly running under the radar. All things considered, we've had a pretty good run and it remains fun, for me at least.

I don't see Cuba in that list so I guess is my job to pull the wagon for them, lol.

Wish I had a better mind in order to do a better job but if it wasen't for little minds like mine then there would be no "big" minds....therefore all in all it balances at the end. :)

Thanks for sharing those Net Stats, Tex. As you have shewn, indeed we are on many radar screens and have a lot more readers than members/posters. As you pondered, I think it may be a blessing in disguise also. It would be very interesting if we could attract more publicly recognized intelligentsia, whom shall identify themselves. I know we have a level of that, but to increase it would be key. The commendable aspect of OD, which I give credit to you for, is the respectability and content reputation.

A while back I said I wasn't going to post anymore on OD, but I changed my mind...I missed not being able to participate.

I'm a very law and order type guy, and I realize that I took some negative comments about the police a little to personally than I should have; so I picked up my keyboard and went home.

I was wrong for being so impulsive (A defect in my character that I work on daily). I apologize.

Nuff said!

vytis,

Glad to have you back. I know there can be some ill feelings generated around here from time to time, but overall, we've much more common ground than not. I think your perspective re. police is a valuable one, since both sides need to see the other point of view once in a while.

Thanks to both of you for the comments! :)

Quantrill, in regards to the Lone Ranger, he has been a fictional role model and hero of mine since I was a young lad. I finally found a picture of him that I could use as an avatar, so I thought I would try it.

Eventually I will go back to the Vytis.
