I have a book titled "America: Free, White, & Christian." It has excerpts from all State Constitutions that are racial in nature. The following state constitutions recognize that whites and blacks are different and state that only whites can votes and/or promote segregation.
Here is my favorite. We are supposed to believe that Kansas has always been a bastion of left-wing multi-culturalists.
Constitution of Kansas 1857 Article XV, 23. "Free negroes shall not be permitted to live in this State under any circumstances."
or how about love-mongering tree hugging Oregon
Constitution of Oregon 1857 Article 1, Sec. 36. "No free negro or mulatto, not residing in this State at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall come, reside or be within this State"
Alabama Arkansas California Connecticut Delaware Florida Georgia Illinois Indiana Iowa Kansas Kentucky Louisiana Maryland Michigan Minnesota Missouri Nebraska NEvada New Jersey North Carolina Ohio Oregon Pennsylvannia South Carolina Tennessee Texas Virginia West Virginia Wisconsin

heritagelost,
Sounds like a fun book. Well remember Kansas was where the Brown vs. T.B.E. case came from. They had segregation till the 1950's.
