We are told by the Apostle Paul, in the second chapter of 2 Thessalonians, concerning the climax of the day and the hour in which we now live, and he said, “Now we beseech you brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto Him, ...” But the Apostle Paul said, “... be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, or by word, nor by letter as from us, ... that the day of Christ is at hand11 - as though this was going to happen tomorrow. He explained that, as we move towards the end of the age, we approach the hour of the return and reentry of God into the affairs of His own household, His own race, the people He had begotten. This was written by the Apostle Paul practically 1, 900 years ago. However, He made this statement: “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except here come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.” The words “man of sin” is either singular or plural, and in some translations is referred to as “the forces of evil as directed by the children of Lucifer,” but in the King James Version is rendered as “the son of perdition.”

Saint Paul also tells us that these powers of darkness will oppose and exalt themselves above all that is called God; and they will virtually seek to be worshipped in the temples of God, as though they were God.. And so we are told here: “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work.” Actually, the only thing that restrained it from going full blast in the days of Paul, for the liquidation of the church, was the sovereignty of God “…who worketh after the counsel of His own will” (Ephesians 1:11).

In the days of the Apostles, the mystery of iniquity was already at work, and, according to Paul, it would continue to work until that which hindereth it be removed. In this instance, the power of God’s Holy Spirit was a factor of restraint, a hindering influence over the powers of darkness and the mystery of iniquity. But when we were to reach a period known as the climax of the age, and the end of the age, at which time the restraint would be lifted from the powers of darkness, the forces of evil would then forge ahead with their massive conspiracy. This situation had its beginning as we came to the “great week stone” in the Pyramid of Giza in 1909, when the power of restraint against evil was somewhat lifted and the forces of iniquity accelerated their activity.

The World Communist Revolution was started in the Soviet Union by organized Jewry, which had secretly hated Christianity since the days of its inception, had persecuted the church, had put Christians to death with their own soldiers, or, by using the power of their wealth, and had compelled others to do their dirty work. They sought to gain economic control over Rome and over every empire, and over all nations, to destroy and crush out Christianity. They were unable to do this, and they watched Christianity triumph, even under their martyrdom, and they saw it gaining great strength. In fact, so strong became Christendom that Rome, instead of becoming the headquarters for the destruction of Christianity, finally acquired an emperor who was a Christian, and started to drive out the powers of darkness and limited the power of the Jews.

The Jews then changed their methods of operation. When they saw that it was no longer safe for them to battle the Christian church on the outside, they joined it.

Then, having joined the Christian church, they gave much of their money into its treasuries and exalted themselves and bought for themselves even bishoprics inside of that church.

That is one of the things that created great confusion inside the church at Rome, for the Roman Church gave an avenue for Jewry to enter in, and the Jews came in and sought to Babylonianize and change as far as possible the doctrines that church In a book called “The Morranos” written by a prominent Jew, Cecil Roth, and published by the American Jewish Publication Society, it is stated that the Jews who were heretics, outside the church, became the people who sought to destroy the true faith of the church on the inside They moved into the church, but always remained heretics at heart. Of course this book praises these Jews for having joined the church and seeking to contend its doctrines and destroy it from within.

The Jews brought into the Church of Rome concepts that came out of ancient Babylon, of priestcraft, of pontifical authority, of cardinalism, and vestal virgins. But they were not able to translate allof this into the structure. of the church, because the vast majority of those in the church still recognized that Jesus was the embodiment of God, had been virgin born, and His atonement was a vital atonement.

A great multitude of Jews (in the hundreds of thousands) joined the church, just to survive, and they brought their heresies into the church, a church they secretly scorned and despised - and this brought on the Inquisition. It is also a significant fact that the person who was the outstanding leader in the Inquisition was a man named Torquemada and Torquemada was a Spanish Jew who had been raised to a bishopric and then had instituted that Inquisition.

The Inquisition which was proclaimed to be a movement against heresy, became persecution against Christians, many of whom became protesters or Protestants, protesting against the evils in the Church of Rome and against enforcement of the Inquisition. And when the Inquisitors ran out of wealthy Christians that were Protestant, they turned on the Catholics and charged them with all types of heresy, until the Church became aware of the apostasy of the strange iniquity that bad moved in, and the exiled these Jews to Sicily.

The Jews were driven out of Spain and the Spaniards called them Morranos, which means “pigs and dogs” - and the “pig-dogs” are pigs of the Morranos. And so when they publish a book about themselves, they call themselves by the name they were then called, Morranos” or hogs, and they talk about how wonderful they were. Such is the hog-wash proclaimed in this book that is published by the American Jewish Publication Society today.

You ought to get the book and read it. You will discover that the Inquisition which set Protestants against Catholics was Jewish inspired, and Jews confiscated the wealth, the treasure and money, from Christians on both sides, as they operated their pattern of looting.

After Constantine had risen to power and had become Emperor of Rome, the Council of Nicaea was called, to establish and correlate the Holy Bible. It was felt that all the documents of sacred writing, which they had, should be brought together into a single volume. They had a large number of such documents, a total of 163 books. Now these 163 books were all inspired books; all, that is, except ten of them. It was clearly determined, eventually, that ten of them were spurious, because the name of God did not appear even once within those ten. However, the delegates were persuaded to keep two of the spurious books, for the influence of Jewry was upon them. Many of the bishops and church leaders that were at the Council of Nicaea, some of whom were Jewish, were totally drunk most of the time, and it is cited that they were not permitted to make any decisions after ten o’clock in the morning, because they were too drunk with wine to make proper decisions after that hour. That was at the Council of Nicaea, when they selected the Scriptures that were supposedly “canonized, “ which were eventually retained in our Holy Bible. So they gave us sixty-six books, and two of them were spurious. The Song of Solomon and the Book of Esther are spurious books that were not inspired at all, not having the name of God anywhere in them; but they were nevertheless included in the Bible, at the insistence of the Jews, and have been used by the Jews ever since, to give them special privilege and power.

Now remember, there were 153 sacred volumes. One hundred and fifty-three is a Divine number. One hundred and fifty-three happens to be the pattern of inch displacement in the Pyramid, and it also happens to be the number of fish that were caught in the net after Jesus said, “’Cast the net on the right side of the ship” - which they did. And when they counted the number of fish they had caught, there were 153. There are 153 inspired volumes, and you have sixty-four of them here in your Bible. Of course we have many more, like the Books of Seth, the Books of Enoch, and the Books of Esdras, that are also inspired volumes.

There are many inspired volumes such as the books out of the Caves of the Treasury, which were the sacred records that Noah had with him on the Ark and also in the Caves of the Treasury when he taught Abraham, for he taught Abraham until Abraham was ten years old. This was in the overlapping period in the lives of Noah and Abraham. Many of these sacred writings were in the ancient church and were a part of the ancient tradition of the great Kehilla of Israel, because they had these scrolls, but they never had them combined into a single volume until the Council of Nicaea decided, after the Christian era, that they should be placed in a single volume. There were many volumes in Alexandria, Egypt, where a great church had been founded after the Grecian empire had established control over that part of the world. Mark was the pastor of this church in Alexandria, after the Crucifixion and Resurrection, when the Christian church was opening up its influence throughout the continent of Europe.

The epistles of the Apostle Paul, you will remember, went to all the islands in the Aegean Sea, and he spoke to the Corinthians in Corinth, and to the Romans in Rome who were of the tribe of Gad, and so on. The peoples of Greece were Scythians and were Israelites indeed, and many of the tribe of Dan had remained in the islands of Greece, along with others that had preceded them to that country. Although Alexandria, in Egypt, was a Greek city, it’s population was largely made up of Coptic Aramaics, and Mark had, in the great Church library in Alexandria, all the sacred Scriptures he could gather together at that time.

Do you know how many volumes they had? They had 12O volumes in the Alexandrian church, at the time of Mark's ministry, and these were great scrolls. In these scrolls they had the records of the Battles of the Sons of Light and the Sons of Darkness, but only fragments were found when archaeologists recovered remnants of them in the ruins of Alexandria. But when they recently found the Dead Sea scrolls, they obtained full copies of the Battles of the Sons of Light and the Sons of Darkness.

All the volumes that were originally in the Alexandrian libraries formed what was known as the Greek Text. All of this material was translated into Greek and was called the Greek Text. But the Alexandrian Version of the Bible and the Greek Text were two separate translations, and today, the Alexandrian Scriptures are considered to be the most accurate. Actually, it was the text of the Alexandrian Version that was translated from the l2O volumes in the Alexandrian church, under Mark’s supervision, and was not retranslated. The Vatican manuscripts were later translations that were adopted by Catholicism as the Douay Version - and the Protestant Bible, also translated from the Vatican manuscripts, was placed in printing at the time of King James. The King James Version of the Bible is what was left unto Protestantism, as Jewish translators and certain scholars translated the King James edition from the Vatican manuscripts. And they also translated their errors. Then they deliberately sought to translate additional error into the King James Version, and there are many areas of error in it, but of course it contains such a vast amount of truth and is so valid in its testimony that even a wayfaring man can still find his way through, unless he is a fool - but there seems to be a lot of fools.

Remember that the mystery of iniquity was already at work and was seeking to destroy the Christian church. But when the children of Lucifer sought to destroy the Christian church, they finally realized they had come against the one institution and organization that would spread and spread and spread, and unless they could destroy it, unless they could use the power of their gold and silver to crush it, it would go on forever. That is one of the reasons why the leaders of organized Jewry met in the city of Venice, and there in Venice they planned the strategy they would use in their attempt to destroy Christianity. They talked about the hordes of barbarian Mongols that roamed the steppes of Asia. They had heard in Samarkand and in Baghdad about the Mongol hordes that roamed the deserts and fought and raided one another. They said, "If we can unify and organize these Mongols, if we can get them to realize that they must leave us alone, but come only against the treasures of Christianity, we will bring them into Europe - and we will conquer all of Europe with these Mongol hordes." - So the mystery of iniquity was at work.

Without question, the design of the forces of darkness and the sons of Lucifer was total destruction of Christianity.

There are Jews all over the world, but they never came from Abraham. But these sons of Lucifer were in the pre-Adamic races, as the Scriptures make abundantly clear.

You are told in the Book of Thessalonians, that the day of the end (of the World Order) would not come until these children of evil, these men of sin, would be revealed as the sons of perdition. Remember also the words of Jesus in the Book of John. Yes, we always come back to the Words of Christ. Some people object to such repetition; but, after all, we only have four Gospels containing the records of Christ, and to find the guide, we must go back into those four Gospels for the actual words of Christ - for this is the key to an understanding of the Scriptures. Jesus said to these Jews, "Ye are of your father the devil and the lusts of your father ye will do: I am of God, you are of the devil; and therefore you are the progeny of the devil, and you respond according to his direction and influence. You have no spiritual capacity, you can't understand the truth, you can't hear My word." In the sixth chapter of John, Jesus refers to them as the "children of perdition, " and He identifies His twelve disciples, but declares that one of them was a devil and a son of perdition. Now it tells you in this sixth chapter of John, after Judas Iscariot was identified as a devil, that Jesus could not walk among Jewry, but had to walk in Galilee because the Jews sought to kill Him. So He identified this Anti-Defamation League agent of that day. There was a spy among the disciples and Jesus identified him. Now you can turn to the sixth chapter of John and read, "I have chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil." And He spoke of whom? Judas Iscariot! And after He had identified this "temple spy, "it says that He had to walk in Galilee. You can read about it, in the first verse of the seventh chapter of John. He had to walk in Galilee, He could no longer walk in Jewry, because all the Jews sought to kill Him. And they sought to kill Him, as you can read, all the way through the Book of John. Every time they turned, the Jews wanted to stone Christ, wanted to sneak up on Him, wanted to get Him under false charges, wanted to seize Him with an army and take Him out where the people wouldn't know about it, and destroy Him but always they were hampered because of His omniscience. And the Essenes also kept a guard over Him, because they were aware of what the Jews were trying to do.

I want to point out, in the seventeenth chapter of the Book of John, Jesus talks about the Adamic race and the White race and all of His children that were to receive the Gospel, when in His prayer He said, "All Thou hast given Me, Thine they were in the heavens (talking about your spiritual pre-existence as celestial children of God); and now Thou hast given them unto Me, Mine they are in the earth." So from heaven to earth, He identifies the coming of the children of the Most High God, and He makes this statement: He said, "I gave them My word. I have kept those Thou hast given Me; Thine they were, now Mine they are: none of them are lost except the son of perdition", which was Lucifer and Lucifer's offspring. He was talking about Judas Iscariot.

Here we have it well marked, that Judas was one of the children of Lucifer, a son of perdition. And this is in the same chapter where Jesus said, "Now I don't pray for the world (the World Order), I only pray for those Thou hast given Me; for Thine they were, and now Mine they are: don't take them out of the world, keep them in it." These are the words of Jesus concerning this matter.

In the Book of Thessalonians, Paul reveals quite clearly that the powers of darkness and the forces of evil are the children of Lucifer, the children of perdition. Now this is not just a by­word of reproach for someone who transgresses the laws of God or does wrong. Transgression doesn't make a man a son of perdition. A son of perdition is progeny by seed.

You may become a disobedient child of God, and God in His grace will take care of that also. He promises you that He will chastise you if that is necessary, but He says, "All Israel shall be saved as it is written." He tells you again con­cerning His grace and the magnitude of His grace concerning His household and His children. But the children of perdition have no capacity to think one righteous thought.

Now understand this: the children of Lucifer, the children of perdition, have no capacity to think any righteous thought! This Jesus makes clear when He said, "You can not hear My word and you can not understand the truth which I declare." He wasn't talking about the peoples of Galilee and the peoples in Judea that lived there, who were of the tribe of. Judah and the tribe of Benjamin. He was talking about the Jews that were there, that had moved in and had conspired and had taken over the control of the temple,. and were against His program.

I also want to point out to you that Jesus knew where the rest of the house of Israel was, also. He spoke to the "strangers of the dispersion." He knew where the household of Ephraim was, "and Israel his companions" - and He sailed on the ships of Joseph of Arimathea, when in His young manhood and boyhood He sailed to Britain and back, and He knew that in Western Europe was the household of His calling. He knew where they had migrated to. In fact, there is a lot of secular record concerning the youth of Christ and concerning His young manhood and concerning His identification and His travels among His people, inside the real house of Israel.

The Apostle Paul said that these men of sin are going to be revealed as the children of Lucifer, and that in each and every age, there is always a chief official among their group, that exalts him­self and raises himself up. In fact, one of the chief Jews right now is Moses El Guibbory, who happens to be a master rabbi, who produced a whole segment of Talmudic scripture which is called, "The Bible In The Hands of Its Creators.' And David Horowitz, a Jew from the United States that went down to Palestine, came back as a dis­ciple of this rabbi, this Moses El Guibbory, who may be, in the eyes of the Jews, a sort of mes­sianic leader that is going to rise up and be pro­claimed as their chief rabbinist and scholar and embodiment of god.

It is a strange thing that these Jews have adopted areas of the philosophy that is the back­ground of Christianity and the message of true Israel - but they have corrupted it, they have Talmudized it, and they have changed it.

Moses, who was as fine a man as anyone in this room, and who would be as Anglo-Saxon, Scandinavian or Nordic, as anybody in this room, but they have adopted and hung a big nose on him and made him like unto themselves, in the making of their per­verted philosophy.

Remember that the same Jews created Buddhism, and the same Jews are the high priests in the temples of India today, because they serve Lucifer and they serve the darkness. There are Asiatic Jews and there are Negroid Jews who even run a college of Voodooism in Africa, today.

Most people think that Jews are identified with your race. But they are NOT identified with your race. These are the strange people that are now referred to as Orthodox Jews. But these Orthodox Jews don't accept the Scripture. They accept the perfidy of their people to change and distort, correct and re-correct, and even to rewrite our Scriptures, and falsely place themselves in the picture.

One of the great mysteries of our age, is that Christendom can acknowledge these people and say they are "the chosen people of God," and then bow before them and say they can do no wrong; and whatsoever they do, they are the household of God, the chosen people of God – and they even rebuke Jesus who said to the Jews, "Ye are of your father the devil, the lust of your father ye will do." The great mystery is that the house of Israel can be so blind concerning its identity, in these days of the climax of the end.

It is going to happen that people are going to wake up, and they are waking up, and they are going to discover, and they are discovering, that these sons of perdition are "the men of sin" and the children of evil. We are therefore told that in this hour, "this mystery of iniquity which doth already work, " will continue to work until the hindering influence is taken out of their way.

A lot of people have been given a strange in­terpretation, and they think this means that God going to lift up into the air, and out of the world, everybody that possesses the holy spirit, and they talk about a "rapture" - and while this is taking place, the devil will exalt himself and take over the world. But there i5n't one word about a "rap­ture" in the Bible. I want you to know that, now! Because it is not there. The devil controls the World Order, and the devil tries to take over every nation of God's kingdom. But in this effort he is going to be stopped. The devil is NOT going to take over America, any further than he has it right now.

One of these days, my friends, every single devil will be run out of America and the powers of righteousness will triumph over the forces of evil. Concerning this "rapture" of the church, which is being talked about so much, I want you to know that there is nothing in the Scripture that foretells any rapture of the church, except in the King James Version where there is an area of especially bad translation. It should have been translated to read: "When Christ arrives, we who are alive and remain unto His coming, shall meet Him in this atmosphere breathing body, (in this temple body)." In this body of tangibleness we are going to meet the Lord, and we will be en­veloped with light and power. Even as the Apostle Paul said, he would like to put on his house in heaven, even though he didn't want to die.

They have sought to make this a catching into the air of all Christians, everywhere, and they are going to stay up there for three and-a-half years, and the devil is going to conquer the world and take over all of the countries and all of the cities and persecute everybody that is left; and then, after that, we are supposed to come down and run him out; but there isn't anything like that in the Scriptures. There is no place in the Scriptures that even suggests such a sequence of events. This is theology that has been built up out of the imaginations of men..

If God took everybody that had the Holy Spirit out of the world, there would never be a battle of Armageddon, did you know that? There wouldn't be anybody that would oppose the devil, and nobody would fight the devil. But of course, nobody but those with the Spirit of God in them would even lift a finger. against the devil or challenge his forces in battle. I just want you to understand how silly this is. God talks about the hour when His believing offspring and His saints will be contesting the powers of darkness and the forces of evil. He refers to their triumph, but He says they will be sorely pressed in battle when He intervenes with heavenly forces and armies and gives the victory to the children of His kingdom. The mystery of iniquity gains power whenever the restraining hand is lifted, as was the case when the Jews, from their headquarters in Venice sent Chepe Noyon, a Chinese Jew, to mass the Mongol hordes of Genghis Khan against Christianity.

The power of iniquity was stopped for a time, when the Catholic Church drove the Jews out of the church and put them on the island of Sicily. The Spanish liquidated some of them, because they realized what the Jews were up to, and of course, Jews were persecuted at that time. The Spaniards didn't have any gas ovens then, and the Jews hadn't yet dreamed up the "six million” figure. The Jews went to Venice, and from Venice they sent Chepe Noyon, the Chinese Jew, over to find Temujin, the man whose name they changed to Genghis Khan. Through Chepe Noyon, the Jews said to Temujin, "We can supply the weapons you need, new crossbows and new swords, and when you topple a tribe, we will make the arrangement for them to join you. And if we get all the tribes to join you on the deserts of Mongolia, if we can raise all the wandering hordes of Mongolia behind your standard, we will make you conqueror of the world. But just remember who did it. Just remember that it was the power of Jewry that armed you, and the power of Jewry can also topple you. If you will respect the Jews and the emblem of Jewry, which will be a yellow arm band that we shall wear, we will open the gates of the cities for you. We will open up for you all the places you want to go, but you must respect and not rob us."

So Temujin made the deal and became Genghis Khan. And after he had conquered about eight tribes, and after they had been unified with him by Chepe Noyon's adroit maneuvering, Genghis Khan started the great sweeping scourge of Asia. The Mongol hordes came against Samarkand, and the Jews of course were in Samarkand as traders. Then one night they opened the gates of the walls of Samarkand and Genghis Khan went in, and he never had to attack the walls.

As Trotsky and Lenin and these forces of Socialism took over Russia, they liquidated its White rulers and persecuted and liquidated its White leadership. Then they brought the Mongols in, to cohabit with the women of Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia, while the men of those countries were taken into slave labor inside Russia, to die of freezing and starvation, and they were replaced by the Mongol horde. So that area of the Soviet Union became, racially, the mixed up mess that it is today.

Remember that Jewry controls Russia and has controlled the rise of World Communism all over the world. Not only does Jewry control the Soviet Union, but it also seeks to control and to liquidate all White Christians and everything, everywhere, that has any vestige of Christianity. The Jews killed 17, 000, 000 Christians in the Soviet Union: they boiled them in oil, they pulled them apart with oxen, they shot them - and these murderers are the people, today, that you are told to treat in a friendly manner, because (they tell us) friendship with the Soviet Union is a most important and very desirable objective. Of course in the Soviet Union, they don’t have any religion, but our leaders tell us that is all right, because we will get along with them very well in this great new age of advanced civilization.

I tell you that every White Christian on the face of the earth should totally refuse to sign any agreement or treaty with the Soviet Union, as long as one "hammer and sickle" flies, because its design has never changed. In this climactic hour, the mystery of iniquity which already works, has now had its hindrance removed, and this beast of World Jewry and the political power of Lucifer has "given life to the beast who had its wound nigh unto death, " - which were the hordes of Genghis Khan - and this seventh world power comes back as the eighth, for its final attempt to conquer Christianity.

I want you to know that the conquest of Christianity is about as close to fulfillment as it is going to go. The Communists already have all of Eastern Europe behind the Iron Curtain, and even now there is revolt among the White people inside of Eastern Europe, against Communism, but the force of Communism is crushing in. It has conquered and it controls Asia, even though there may be some controversy and fighting, over who is going to be the leader among the Chinese and among the Russians. The Communists have Castro down in Cuba, and from Castro in Cuba they have exported their ideology, and materials into Guatemala. They have moved into Uruguay. They have moved into Argentina and Bolivia.

I talked this week, in the northern part of California, to a man who has had business dealings this year in Argentina, and this man said, "I had to cancel it out. Twelve Americans were shot, as Communists came up in trucks and shot them. The Argentine landholders and the owners of big ranches, and the politicians and statesmen, have their lives in danger and they are in hiding, because of the Communists. And they have to provide special protection to the leaders of Argentina, because the Communists are moving around in these trucks as guerrillas, just as they did it Cuba before the take-over. And Castro’s Cuba has been the avenue of a tremendous number of military men from the Soviet Union who have moved into Argentina and into all South America."

**Greetings Christian Americans: There are many great truths in the Scriptures which will help you to understand the problems which we are facing nationally and internationally in the world today. A great many of these great truths have never been taught from the pulpits, in fact, many of the clergy have never taken time to go into the background of archeology and anthropology to come up with the answers.

Among these many truths which are contained in the Scriptures are the truths that among the three great Races of the world which we have today are the Caucasian Race, Asiatic Race and the Negroid Race. Their histories and their backgrounds, and their points of origin are entirely different.

We are living in the day when Science, through the use of new discoveries such as the use of Radio Carbon Dating is able to determine the time element of many of the things which they find furniture and pieces of wood and living matter and bones, etc.

And out of the discoveries already made by Science, well established beyond question as to their accuracy, along with archeological evidence that some of the Races have had peoples existing here for thousands upon thousands of years. There have been thousands of years of Asiatic history, there are thousands of years, of Negro history. In fact, even the White Race, the Adamic Race, has approximately 7400 years of history, that can be confirmed with the inter dispersion of events as it relates to other existing races.

The most significant thing is that this is not in controversy, but is established by the content of the Scriptures, The Scriptures established the beginning of the Adamic Race with a Special Ministry. In fact, God told Adam to have dominion over the earth in the day when He placed him here. He told him to have dominion over "all the beasts of the field." We do not have time to go into all this subject today, but all "the beasts of the field" were not in the animal kingdom, as you will remember when God told Moses on the mountain that "none of the beasts or the men" were to place "their hands" upon the holy mountain the day the Law was given, and of course you and I know that animals do not have "hands" that they could place upon the mountain.

And you remember that when Jonah was sent to Nineveh, that God told him to tell the peoples of Nineveh that if the "men and beasts" of the city of Nineveh would put on sackcloth and ashes, and repent of their evil doings, and call on the Most High God to forgive them of their transgressions, and then He would save Nineveh. And eventually, after of course, the round-about route that Jonah took, he went to Nineveh. And it tells us that both the "beasts and the men" put on sackcloth ' and they a] I cried out and "entreated the Lord with prayer." Now these "beasts" are two-legged ones and it was not an attempt to downgrade them, it was merely a distinction in their origin and creation, for "beast kingdoms" are created beings with soul consciousness, but do not have the "Spirit". or the "Celestial Life" of the Most High God as their Spiritual intelligence. They are not "begotten" in the heavens "of the Spirit."

You and as the children of God, are the offspring of the Heavenly Father, begotten in the Spirit before the world was framed.

We are the children He foreknew and did predetermine that we were going to conform His image in the earth.

There were creations in their various stages created here in the earth and in other parts of the universe. Much to be said about this at other times. Even specific groups in the earth are subject for your investigation and mine.

One of the most important subjects of course in the Scriptures is the subject that the Book of Romans asks in a single, question, when in this passage the Apostle Paul said, "Who are the Israelites?" Now some one would say, "Now that's an easy question to answer." Well, maybe your minister never answered that question-maybe it has never been discussed in your church. But it is a most important thing that you and I know who the Israelites are. It is just as important that you know who the Israelites are, as it is for you to know that the Adamic Race is the White Race or to know that in the days of the flood in Noah's time, it did not cover the "whole earth," but covered all "that place," for the word there for "the earth" was eratz meaning "that place." Cain uses the same word when he was driven out of the garden and said, "I was driven off of the face of the earth"-that's the translator's word, originally it was "eratz," which means "all that place."

So also we know that Noah's three sons Ham ' Shem and Seth were all White Men, as "kind begets like kind," seed having life in itself. They were their varied ways, some were absorbed by the processes of intermixture and mongrelization. The Shemites, or Shemitic peoples, preserved their racial self-respect a reason why today all the great nations of the White Race have descended from Shem. Truly, you know, there is no more mistaken word than the word "antiSemite"-White men are not against White men, so you would have to be against all White men to be truly an " anti- Shemite. "

In the interest of "Who are the Israelites?" the Scriptures tell me in the 9th Chapter of Romans, the 4th Verse, that "to them pertains the adoption." There is a Greek word "Huiothesia," meaning "positioning of sons" in the earth, the timing of their birth, and their positioning of them in their family. This is a part of the fore-knowledge in the purpose of God, and to them belongs the "Glory of God," and the "Covenants," and "the giving of the Law," and "the service of God," and "the Promises."

Doesn't look like there is much left in this Bible for anybody unless they belong to this group of people known as "Israelites" because almost the whole Book is written about them, and also all the New Testament is written to them. They have all "the Promises," they have the "Laws of God," they have "the Covenants of God"- they get "the Glory of God." So in this instance I think it is most important that you and I have an answer to this question.

This might be disturbing to a Christian if he did not also have another statement the Apostle makes in the 3rd Chapter, in the 29th verse. He said: "if ye are Christ's then are ye are Abraham's seed." I know you

have heard evangelists tell you simply that when a man accepts the fact that Jesus is the Christ, that automatically makes him a Spiritual Israelite. Well there might be some truth to that, he is an Israelite who is now Spiritually enlightened concerning who he is and who Christ is. But let me assure you this, the reason why he can perceive and understand is because the Spiritual Seed within him has been quickened by the Father according to His Covenant. "if ye be Christ's." Notice that this is a matter of possession there is a great difference between "being Christ's," and standing on the sidelines and believing "about Christ." It did not say "if you believe about Christ" it said, "if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise,"

You know Jesus said in the Book of Matthew, "I have come for the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel." He was talking to the Jews on Solomon's porch and He said: "Ye believe not because ye are not my sheep, as I said unto you." So very apparently the Jews of Jerusalem were not considered Israelites by Jesus who said He "came for the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

Of course, they did not accept Him and He did not say they belonged to Him. He said: "All the Father giveth me shall come, and he that comes I will in no wise cast out." But He said: "I am from above and ye are from beneath," "I am from the heavens and you are of the earth."

But the children of the "House of Israel", were supposed to be "Celestial children" whom He fore knew before the foundation of the world," and they were "predestined" or pre-determined they would conform to the image of the Son. "The people that He promised that "I will be the Lamb of God, slain before the foundation of the world, to restore you, to give you back the Eternal Life which you possessed in the Spirit, to clothe you with "the Glory" which I started out your father Adam with. So you who are the "children of God" after the Spirit say, "Our Father which art in heaven." And we say, "We have our father Adam after the flesh."

If you remember that Adam is referred to as the "First Adam" naturally, the word "Adam" is the name for the White Race, or White Man. The word "Enosh" in the Hebrew means "beings," and is also translated "men." But where it is "Adam" it is talking about the White Race. Where it is "Enosh" it is talking about BEINGS.

Christ is referred to by Paul the Apostle as the "Second Adam, and He was the "Begotten Issue," the Incarnate Fullness of God dwelling bodily in the earth. So also this Race with Spiritual Seed, the "Holy Seed" that Ezra talks about, the children. of the Eternal God with whom God made His Covenants.

And selecting one man, who in faith and determination to follow God, had activated his faith by obedience, He called Abraham out of Ur of the land of the Chaldees, lest his seed be integrated by the inter-mixing of the peoples of the site of ancient Ur of the Chaldees, the city of Nimrod, God tells him to get out of the land of Ur of the Chaldees, and then He says: "This is my covenant with you. I Almighty God, have ordered you to walk before me, and be thou perfect. And I am going to make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly." And He said: "Behold, my covenant is with thee. Thou shalt be a father of many nations." He said: in the 7th Verse, 17th Chapter of Genesis: "And I will establish my covenants between me and thee, and thy seed after thee in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto them, and to thy seed after thee. 11 And everlasting covenant with the offspring of Abraham, the purest selected strain of the White Race, who was to take a seed from among his people, and at no time took for himself a "gentile" or "heathen" bride.

Frankly, all through the background of Scripture, God talks about His covenant with Abraham, and the Old Testament is filled with it. The Book of Jeremiah starts, in the 31st Chapter, "Behold" the days come, saith the Lord, when I make a New Covenant with the House of Israel, and with the House of Judah." And this is a very new covenant because He said: : "I am going to put my Law in their inward parts. and I am going to write it in their hearts. And I will be their God and they shall be my people."

Now, therefore, if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise." What "promise" is He talking about? Why the promise He made to Abraham, which over in the 3rd chapter of Galatians, in the 16th Verse, "Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made." And the 15th verse said: "The law or no other covenant that came thereafter could put a condition upon it, or disannul that promise."

If you today area White Christian ye are the seed of Abraham you are the Israel of God. That is why you are a have nation today that is why you have technological blessing, Divine Guidance and Leadership that is why the United States of America, with the "two great out stretched wings of the eagle," carries forward its mighty destination Israel nation, because "'ye are Abraham's seed and heirs according to this promise." **

Tonight we are speaking on a subject, which the Children of Israel must learn to understand. There are many people who are under a strange delusion, finding themselves serving a fake set of ideas, which are very disturbing to them in the light of what they know and see round about. There are many who have been told that Yahshua the Messiah is a jew, and therefore The Most High and Saviour of their faith comes out of a race which hates Israelites, does all that it can to destroy it, and is now working insidiously all over The United States to get the Bible and prayer out of our schools (and have done a very good job of it too), and to take the Name of Yahshua the Messiah out of every phase of our National Life.

Now this is hard for some people to understand. They ask how could Yahshua be a jew, with all jews fighting everything that relates to His Heritage and His Name. Of course the great confusion that exists in the minds of many is in the fact that they have been ill – informed concerning who the House of Israel actually is, and they do not know that there is a vast distinction between the House of Israel (the descendants of Abraham) and the people called jews today. But we can establish for you clearly apart from these phases of Identity that Yahshua the Messiah is not a jew, or else all the foundations of His Heritage have been wasted upon something that is fatuous and that has no foundation whatsoever. We will also establish this very clearly for you on the basis of Yahshua’s time, as well as facts, which are self-evident as key points within the faith of Christianity.

I tell you that I am not following the jew: I am following the Incarnate Revelation of The Most High. Before you ask me, Is Yahshua the Messiah a jew? I ask you this question: Is Yahweh a jew? We have Yahshua’ own words in Matthew 23:33 in which He turned and told the jews that they are serpents and a generation of vipers. He was not talking about the symbol of Lucifer’s kingdom. He said they are Lucifer’s descendants. I want to emphasize the fact that one of the first things that Yahshua did in that conversation was to deny any family relationship. (This is also one of the important records of the book of John.) He denied any relationship with them, and in the instance when they were creating great pressure upon Him, Yahshua made this statement: “I Am of My Father, and you are of your father.” Therefore, I want to point out something that is most significant concerning Yahshua. First, let us go to Isaiah 7:14, and read what it says about His birth. “Therefore Yahweh Himself the Eternal One shall give you a sign: Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His Name Immanuel” (which is “Yahweh with us”).

For further revelation on this subject we turn to Isaiah 9:6 (Remember, Isaiah is an Israelite but he is not a jew.) It reads: “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: And the government shall be upon His Shoulder.” Who is He? His Name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty Yahweh, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” They are referring to the fact that He is The Everlasting Father, that He is The Prince of Peace; and in this identification, His Embodiment as Messiah would be the Embodiment of the Life of Yahweh.

Now let us for a moment recognize that it was not until the violation of Divine Law by Lucifer and his intermingling of nefarious forces with the races (before the coming of your Race) that there ever existed a jew upon the face of the earth. It is also noted that these unassimilable forces are referred to in the Old Testament as Yehudi, which word is translated jews. We realize that the Bible (the King James version) which we have, like the Vulgate, had also been guided in its translation by a great number of jews who, professing to be Hebrew and Greek scholars, thought to cover up many phrases that relate to the Identity of Yahshua and words referring to them and their own relationship to world situations; but they were unable to efface the most important phrases concerning Yahshua and Who He was.

Therefore we have these facts in writing of the Apostle Paul who, without question, is the greatest authority of the New Testament outside of the declarations, which Yahshua Himself made. We believe the doctrine of the Church is founded upon the contents of the writings of the Apostle Paul and the Words of Yahshua. Their premise was also that the continuity of The Scripture meant that the Word of Yahweh of the Old Testament continued in the development of the truths of the new.

In the book of Colossians we discover that this revelation means that Yahweh is both Spirit and Soul, and can be embodied; so Spirit, Soul, and Body is the fullness of Yahweh, and you are in His image, and you are also Spirit, Soul, and Body. The Body of The Man Messiah was the image of the Invisible Yahweh. We want you to know that this was the revelation of Eternal Deity and regarding the Messiah, we read these words in the first chapter of Colossians: “Who is the Image (or Body) of the Invisible Yahweh, the firstborn (begotten before) of every creature.” Then Paul tells you here in the book of Ephesians as well, that by Him were all things created, that is by Yahshua.

For by Him were all things Created that are in the Heavens, by Him were all things Created that are in Earth, visible and invisible (that means spiritual or material), whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: All things were Created by Him and for Him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.” If we did not have anything to talk about, were would say that this was proof conclusively that Yahshua could not be a jew, because He was before any jew existed. He was before all things, and by Him all things consist. We point also to this: “He is the Head of the Body, the Church, Who is the beginning, the first born from the dead, that in all things He Might have the preeminence.” (Colossians chapter 1) It pleases the Administering Spirit that His Embodiment will be the fullness of all in all. That is in your Bible, and these are the facts concerning the Person of Yahshua. He is the Author, the Creator, the Maker, the Producer of the Universe; and the Embodiment of all this in the physical Body was His purpose.

I think it very important, then, that we also turn to things that are most significant in this prophecy. It is no wonder the enemy, the higher critics; the forces of darkness want to do away with any super-element in our faith. If you could destroy that super-element, you might destroy the whole foundation of Christianity, and you might challenge the Being of Yahshua Himself. Son in this instance they try to do away with, and they would like to take out of the story, the prophecies of Isaiah that a virgin shall conceive and bear a Son. They want to change it today to “a young woman”.

I can assure you that the text said a virgin, and this was the intent. This fact is brought forth as one of the mysteries known back in the days of Enoch. After his Heavenly experience, Enoch also included in his revelation “The Pillars of Enoch” that Yahweh Himself would come forth through a virgin in a body, the fullness of Deity, the fullness of Divine Creative Power.

Now we turn to the record in Chapter 1 of Matthew concerning the genealogy of the Messiah, and this is “The book of the generation of Yahshua the Messiah” He is referred to here as “the Seed of David, the Seed of Abraham”. David was not a jew; he came out of Jesse. You will discover that he is out of Ephraim and actually out of Joseph. David was given a Royal Line over Judah, but not one drop of the blood of David is in the veins of the Messiah.

We discover the fact in the book of Luke that Mary was of the house of Levi. The house of Levi was not jew. The house of Levi could never be called jews by anybody, nor could Judah be called jewish, nor can you call the other ten tribes jews by any stretch of the imagination, for they were not identified with the Kingdom of Judah. Jews are trying to identify themselves with the House of Abraham by saying they are Judeans, and that they descended from Judah. They only dwelt in the land of Judea, but they were never citizens of the House of Abraham, nor did they come through Judah.

We read the whole genealogy in the book of Matthew from the days of Abraham on down”…and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary”, and it was Mary whom Yahshua was born. So it would not make any difference in all the genealogy of the House of Joseph, as far as the blood stream of Yahshua was concerned, for Joseph was not the father of Yahshua the Messiah. He was only the adopted foster father, to Yahshua and thus added a rightful title as foster father to Yahshua. (The Jerusalem Bible footnote (Matt.1: 1) says”…Joseph legally the father of Yahshua”.) But Yahshua held the title by His right as King of Kings and proved that in His Own conversation with the people of Jerusalem, as we will introduce to you.

In the Bible we have no genealogy as to who Mary is. Mary is the only physical Embodiment and contact of Yahshua. Here in Matthew it says: “… Mary, of whom was born Yahshua, Who is called Yahshua”. Nowhere in the genealogy, if you go back to the Old Testament, was the mother ever mentioned. It always tells which father begat whom down through all time. Why was the mother mentioned here? Why did it not mention the mother down through this entire course? Because one of the facts of this time in history was that the Virgin Mary was the mother of Yahshua and His only physical contact on Earth. Was she a jewess? Absolutely not!

Mary is of the House of Levi, so by no stretch of imagination could she be called a jewess . Levi was given for the true priesthood from the days of Aaron right on down to the present time; the ministry was called the ministry of Yahweh “forever” Let us turn back to the hour of the birth of Yahshua. This was in the days of Herod the King of Judea, and there was a certain priest named Zacharias (his wife was Elisabeth the daughters of Aaron). John the Baptist was born of Elisabeth, and Yahshua came forth from the womb of Mary. Now Elisabeth and Mary were cousins, one family, and one Household. In Luke 1:36 we read (as the angel addresses Mary): “And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth hath also conceived a son in her old age.” Now this will help us to understand. The priesthood of Aaron was continued in the Levitical priesthood. This proves Mary was of the Household of Levi.

We bring to your attention, for we have the evidence referred to time after time, that the body of Yahshua was born of Incorruptible Seed. If you want to go back in the miracle pattern of religious philosophy, you will discover that as far as Adam is concerned he was the issue of Yahweh; he was His Life, he was the seed which He begat in the earth for establishing the race from which would come His Kingdom.

As we called to your attention before, in the sixth day (era) Yahweh created and consummated through these geological ages of His time, the making of everything in the Universe. He had even made man. “Male and female made He them, “ But on the eighth day He Said, “there is no Adamite to till the soil”, and He brought forth Adam, the very issue out of Himself. Do you know what the Apostle Paul tells us in Corinthians concerning Yahshua? This was the Body of Yahweh, the second Adam; and as Adam is the issue of Yahweh, so the Messiah is the second Adam. But He was also the first-born of every creature, because He was before all things, and by Him all things consist.

Yahshua began to preach one day, and He challenged the people “ Do you know before Abraham was, I was?” If, then, He was before Abraham, those who think the jews started with Abraham would be forced to conclude that Yahshua (having been before Abraham) could not have been a relative of the jews. When Abraham went out on the plains of Moreh, he met an unknown personage; the one whom He met for the first time was called Melchizedek, the great mystery title of the Eternal Priesthood of the Eternal Yahweh.

The Apostle Paul tells you in the 7th chapter of the book of Hebrews who Melchizedek was: He was without beginning of days, or end of life, the Eternal Priest and King Forever. There is only one individual without beginning of days or end of life; and He, my friends, is Yahshua the Messiah. John was exiled to the Isle of Patmos for the testimony of Yahshua the Messiah. Suppose I introduce you to the fact that, according to the book of Revelation, while he was there and while he was meditating, Yahweh appeared before him? He heard the sound of a trumpet; and as he turned, he beheld the beautiful spectacle of radiant Majesty and Light. He saw Deity standing before him; he threw himself to the ground; he heard the words: “I am Alpha and Omega; I am The Ever-Living Yahweh.” John says he trembled before the symbol of Majesty. The voice said, John stand upon your feet. You walked with Me along the shores of Galilee; I am Yahshua. And he beheld and knew that the Ever-Living was the Very One with Whom he had walked. “Fear not. I hold the keys of death and the grave. Stand upon your feet.” Do you suppose that The Almighty Yahweh is a jew? Yahweh save the world!

When Yahshua was twelve years old, He, His mother and Joseph (His foster father) went down to Jerusalem. He became separated from them. Do you know where they found Him? In the temple, confounding the wise men and the scribes; He knew more that they did. He was expounding to them the mysteries of the Scriptures, for He has put them together. From that time on, Yahshua was busy on these things. Oh, you say, He was working in the carpenter shop? He lived in the City of Nazareth? Not very much. You want me to prove that to you? Joseph of Arimathea owned the tin mines of Cornwall in Britain and, being of the true stock of the Kingdom of Israel, he was one of the most powerful members of the Sanhedrin. His ships ploughed up and down the coasts of Europe, through the Pillars of Hercules, and in the Mediterranean. Joseph was a good man; he laid Yahshua in his tomb. This is a matter of history. You can go to Rome today and see where Joseph paid constant duty from one country to another.

Suppose I tell you that all during His Youth, up to the time He was 30 years old, He was in Europe? Yahshua was here, and he was there; He was preaching. You, say, You cannot prove that. Yes, I can prove it. I am going to show you something here that you will remember. In Luke we have a story of how Yahshua was baptized, and after Lucifer assaulted Him with temptation, He was away for awhile. After He returned to the City of Nazareth, He went down to the temple to preach. When He stood up with authority and power (for He had the symbol of authority; they had handed Him the scroll) and He talked, the people said, Who is this? Now, my friends, if Yahshua had been constantly in attendance here, if He had been growing up here since He was twelve years old, they would not have guessed or pondered who this was who stood up to preach.

I will show you something significant. If you turn to 1 Timothy 3:16 you will read these words concerning Yahshua: “ And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness; Yahweh was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the nations, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”

If Yahweh was manifest in the flesh, He was justified in the Sprit, and He preached unto the Nations—when did He do that? He did that before He commenced the three-year ministry, which was to be historic, that went up to His crucifixion. How I can prove to you that over here in the records, we have Yahshua as He returns from having been in a far country. As He arrives at the seat of Customs of the local government, they want to collect taxes from Him. Yahshua turns to His disciples, saying, Of whom do the kings collect taxes, of their own or of strangers? (Here was King Herod collecting taxes from Yahshua.) Yahshua, not to argue with them, said, Go down and catch a fish. They brought a fish to Him, and He said, Take the money out of its mouth. They found there the golden coin with which to pay the taxes.

What I want to point out to you is that Yahshua the Messiah had been outside the country and had returned at this instance. He had been preaching in a far country, and the records show that He paid taxes and paid customs. The jews recognized He was a stranger. More than that, in another instance we can show you something, which is significant to this pattern. You remember, in the book of John there are many mysteries; they are only mysteries because the Church never applied itself to these many things, and these are also correlated with evidence that we discover all through the writings of Matthew, Mark, and Luke; but especially in John are these things made known. I read here in John concerning that which Yahshua was speaking that the jews, the Pharisees, the chief priests in the time of Yahshua were fatuous, and came in the line of the Canaanites. They were not the true seed of Israel. That is why Yahshua told them: “I am of My Father, and you are of your father.”

In John chapter 7, He tells the chief priests and officers that came to take Him, I am going to be here a little while, and I am going into the Spirit whence I have come. “You shall seek Me, and shall not find Me; for where I am going you cannot come.” So it is obvious: Where Yahshua was going, the jews could not go. Yes, He was going to Heaven. Well, then, the jews could not get there.

The jews said, “Where will He go that we can not find Him? Will He go to the dispersed among the nations? Will He go there and teach them?” The priest and Pharisees asked the officers, “Why have you not seized Him? Why did you not bring Him?” And the officers answered, “Never spake man like this man”. Then spake the Pharisees, “ Are ye also deceived? Have any of the rulers or the Pharisees believed on Him?” Nicodemus (who visited Yahshua by night) stepped up. “Now Listen: The Law does not judge any man before it hears him.” They said to him: “Oh, are you also one of His disciples? No prophet comes out of Galilee” The jews said He was not a jew; they said He was a Galilean.

Now, remember, the Galileans were not jews. You say, prove that. All right, let’s turn to the sixth chapter of John. Yahshua the Messiah had twelve disciples. One of them was a jew; that was Judas Iscariot. All the rest came out of Galilee, out of the Household of His selection. He asked them a question concerning His identity, and Simon Peter said: “Master, where shall we go? Thou hast the words of Eternal Life. We believe and are sure that Thou are the Messiah.” That means the Embodiment of Yahweh, the Very Seed, the Embodiment of The Most High.

Yahshua said: “Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?” While that may be just a name you call somebody, to Yahshua it was a generation of Lucifer. Yahshua turned to the jews on Solomon’s porch, and said: “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. I am from above; I am of Yahweh, and ye are of the devil. I am Yahweh’s offspring, and ye are the devil’s offspring.” You say, is that in the Bible? That is in the book of John, which you have. John also says: “ He spake of Judas Iscariot…for he it was that should betray Him…”

In John 7:1 we read: “After these things Yahshua walked in Galilee: For he would not walk in Jewry, because the jews sought to kill Him.” You understand that in Galilee He would not be among the jews. The brethren of Yahshua, the friends of Yahshua, and the Galileans (the people of the community where Yahshua lived) went down to Jerusalem; but there, no man dared speak openly of Him for fear of the jews. Let us turn to the words of Yahshua in the eighth chapter of John. He makes the declaration concerning His purpose. He went over to the temple and all the people came, and He taught them, saying:” I bear record of Myself, and My record is true.” The Pharisees said” “Your record is not true.” So we have the jew Pharisees denying Yahshua. He said: I know whence I came I came and whither I go, but you cannot tell whence I came and whither I go.” They asked, “Where is your Father?” Then Yahshua said: “If ye had known Me, ye should have known My Father also.” These words spake Yahshua in the treasury, as He taught in the temple: And no man laid hands on Him. For His hour was not yet come. Then Yahshua said, “ I go My way and ye shall seek Me and die in your sins: Whither I go, ye cannot come… And He said, ye are from beneath: I am from above; ye are of this world; I am not of this world.”

So Yahshua said, You are of a different race, a different origin, and a different background. Let me tell you about the whole Race of Israel. Turn to John 17. John records that Yahshua praised the Father, and in this declaration, the Man Yahshua the Messiah, in the Body unveiling for posterity facts concerning the Eternal Spirit: “ I have manifested Thy Name unto the men which Thou gavest Me out of the world. [color=black]In the dry hills of this central Asian province, archeologist have unearthed more than 100 corpses that are as much as 4,000 years old. Astonishingly well preserved - and Caucasian. One glimpse of the corpses was enough to shock Victor Mair profoundly. In 1987, Mair, a professor of Chinese at the University of Pennsylvania, was leading a tour group through a museum in the Chinese city of Urumqi, in the central Asian province of Xinjiang, when he accidentally strayed into gloomy, newly opened room.[/color]

[color=black]There, under glass, lay the recently discovered corpses of a family - a man, a woman, and a child of two or three - each clad in long, dark purple woolen garments and felt boots. "Even today I get chills thinking about that first encounter," says Mair. "The Chinese said they were 3,000 years old, yet the bodies looked as if they were buried yesterday."[/color]

[color=black]But the real shock came when Mair looked closely at their faces. In contrast to most central Asian peoples, these corpses had obvious Caucasian, or European, features - blond hair, long noses, deep-set eyes, and long skulls."I was thunderstruck," Mair recalls. "Even though I was supposed to be leading a tour group, I just couldn't leave that room.[/color]

[color=black]The questions kept nagging at me: Who were these people? How did they get out here at such an early date?" The corpses Mair saw that day were just a few of more than 100 dug up by Chinese archeologists over the past 16 years. All of them are astonishingly well preserved. They come from four major burial sites scattered between the arid foothills of the Tian Shan ("Celestial Mountains") in northwest China and the fringes of The Taklimakan Desert, some 150 miles due south.[/color]

[color=black]All together, these bodies, dating from about 2000 B.C. to 300 B.C., constitute significant addition to the world's catalog of prehistoric mummies.[/color]

[color=black]Unlike the roughly contemporaneous mummies of ancient Egypt, the Xinjiang mummies were not ruler or nobles; they were not interred in pyramids or other such monuments, nor were they subjected to deliberate mummification procedures. They were preserved merely by being buried in the parched, stony desert, where daytime temperatures often soar over 100 degrees.[/color]

[color=black]In the heat the bodies were quickly dried, with facial hair, skin, and other tissues remaining largely intact. Where exactly did these apparent Caucasians come from? And what were they doing at remote desert oases in central Asia?[/color]

[color=black]Any answers to these questions will most likely fuel a wide-ranging debate about the role outsiders played in the rise of Chinese civilization. As far back as the second century B.C., Chinese texts refer to alien peoples called the Yuezhi and the Wusun, who lived on China's far western borders; the texts make it clear that these people were regarded as troublesome "barbarians."[/color]

[color=black]Until recently, scholars have tended to downplay evidence of any early trade or contact between China and the West, regarding the development of Chinese civilization as an essentially homegrown affair scaled off from outside influences; indeed, this view is still extremely congenial to the present Chinese regime. Yet some archeologists have begun to argue that these supposed barbarians might have been responsible for introducing into China such basic items as the wheel and the first metal objects.[/color]

[color=black]Exactly who these central Asian outsiders might have been, however - what language they spoke and where they came from - is a puzzle. No wonder, then, that scholars see the discovery of the blond mummies as a sensational new clue.[/color]

[color=black]Although Mair was intrigued by the mummies, the political climate of the late 1980s (the Tiananmen Square massacre occurred in 1989) guaranteed that any approach to Chinese archeological authorities would be fraught with difficulties. So he laid the riddle to one side as he returned to his main area of study, the translation and analysis of ancient Chinese texts.[/color]

[color=black]Then, in September 1991, the discovery of the 5,000 feet. Photos of the Ice Man's corpse, dried by the wind and then buried by a glacier, reminded Mair of the desiccated mummies in the Urumqi museum. And he couldn't help wondering whether some of the scientific detective methods now being applied to the Ice Man, including DNA analysis of the preserved issue, could help solve the riddle of Xinjiang.[/color]

[color=black]With China having become more receptive to outside scholars, Mair decided to launch a collaborative investigation with Chinese scientists. He contacted Xinjiang's leading archeologist, Wang Binghua, who had found the first of the mummies in 1978. Before Wang's work in the region, evidence of early settlements was virtually unknown.[/color]

[color=black]In the late 1970s, though, Wang had begun a systematic search for ancient cites in the northeast corner of Xinjiang Province. "He knew that ancient peoples would have located their settlements along a stream to have a reliable source of water," says Mair.[/color]

[color=black]As he followed one such stream from its source in the Tian Shan, says Mair, "Wang would ask the local inhabitants whether hey had ever found any broken bowls, wooden artifacts, or the like. Finally one older man told him of a place locals called Qizilchoqa, or ~Red Hillock.'"[/color]

[color=black]It was here that the first mummies were unearthed. This was also the first site visited last summer by Mair and his collaborator, Paolo Francalacci, an anthropological geneticist at the University of Sassari in Italy.[/color]

[color=black]Reaching Qizilchoqa involved a long, arduous drive east from Urumqi. For a day and a half Mair, Wang, and their colleagues bounced inside four- wheel-drive Land Cruisers cross rock-strewn dirt roads from one oasis to the next. Part of their journey eastward followed China's Silk Road, the ancient trade route that evolved in the second century B.C. and connected China to the West.[/color]

[color=black]Finally they reached the village of Wupu; goats scattered as the vehicles edged their way through the back streets. Next to the village as a broad green ravine, and after the researches had maneuvered their way into it, the sandy slope of the Red Hillock suddenly became visible. "It wasn't much to look at," Mair recalls, "about 20 acres on a gentle hill ringed by barbed wire. There's a brick work shed where tools are stored and the visiting archeologists sleep. But you could spot the shallow depressions in the sand where the graves were."[/color]

[color=black]As Mair watched, Wang's team began digging up several previously excavated corpses that had been reburied for lack of adequate storage facilities at the Urumqi museum.[/color]

[color=black]Mair didn't have to, wait long, just a couple of feet below the sand, the archeologists came across rush matting and wooden logs covering a burial dumber chamber with mud bricks. Mair was surprised by the appearance of the logs: they looked as if they had just been chopped down. Then the first mummy emerged from the roughly six-foot-deep pit. For Mair the moment was nearly as charged with emotion as that first encounter in the museum. "When you're standing right next to these bodies, as well preserved as they are, you feel a sense of personal closeness to them," he says. "It's almost supernatural - you feel that somehow life persists even though you're looking at a dried- out corpse."[/color]

[color=black]Mair and Francalacci spent the day examining the corpses, with Francalacci taking tissue samples to identify the genetic origins of the corpses. "He took small samples from unexposed areas of the bodies,' says Mair, "usually from the inner thighs or underarms. We also took a few bones, usually pieces of rib that were easy to break off, since bone tends to preserve the DNA better than muscle tissue or skin."[/color]

[color=black]Francalacci wore a face mask and rubber gloves to avoid contaminating the samples with any skin flakes that would contain his own DNA. The samples were placed in collection jars, sealed, and labeled; Mair made a photographic and written record of the collection.[/color]

[color=black]So far 113 graves have been excavated at Qizilchoqa; probably an equal number remain to be explored. Based on carbon-14 dating by the Chinese and on the style of painted pots found with the corpses, all the mummies here appear to date to around 1200 B.C.[/color]

[color=black]Most were found on their backs with their knees drawn up - a position that allowed the bodies to fit into the small burial chambers. They are fully clothed in brightly colored woolen fabrics, felt and leather boots, and sometimes leather coats.[/color]

[color=black]The men generally have light brown or blond hair, while the women have long braids; one girl has blue tattoo marks on her wrist. Besides pottery, resting alongside them are simple items from everyday life: combs made of wood, needles of bone, spindle whorls for spinning thread, hooks, bells, loaves of bread, and other food offerings. The artifacts provide further proof that these were not the burial sites of the wealthy: had the graves been those of aristocrats, laden with precious bronzes, they probably would have been robbed long ago.[/color]

[color=black]However, Wang and his colleagues have found some strange if not aristocratic, objects in the course of their investigations in Xinjiang. At a site near the town of Subashi 310 miles west of Qizilchoqa, that dates to about the fifth century B.C., they unearthed a woman wearing a two-foot- long black felt peaked hat with a flat brim.[/color]

[color=black]Though modern Westerners may find it tempting to identify the hat as the headgear of a witch, there is evidence that pointed hats were widely worn by both women and men in some central Asian tribes. For instance, around 520 B.C., the Persian king Darius recorded a victory over the "Sakas of the pointed hats"; also, in 1970 in Kazakhstan, just over China's western border, the grave of a man from around the same period yielded a two-foot-tall conical hat studded with magnificent gold-leaf decorations.[/color]

[color=black]The Subashi woman's formidable headgear, then, might be an ethnic badge or a symbol of prestige and influence. Subashi lies a good distance from Qizilchoqa, and its site is at least seven centuries younger, yet the bodies and their clothing are strikingly similar.[/color]

[color=black]In addition to the "witch's hat," clothing found there included fur coats and leather mittens; the Subashi women also held bags containing small knives and herbs, probably for use as medicines.[/color]

[color=black]A typical Subashi man, said by the Chinese team to be at least 55 years old, was found lying next to the corpse of a woman in a shallow burial chamber. He wore a sheepskin coat, felt hat, and long sheepskin boots fastened at the crotch with a belt. Another Subashi man has traces of a surgical operation on his neck; the incision is sewn up with sutures made of horsehair.[/color]

[color=black]Mair was particularly struck by this discovery because he knew of a Chinese text from the third century A.D. describing the life of Huatuo, a doctor whose exceptional skills were said to have included the extraction and repair of diseased organs.[/color]

[color=black]The text also claims that before surgery, patients drank a mixture of wine and an anesthetizing powder that was possibly derived from opium. Huatuo's story is all the more remarkable in that the notion of surgery was heretical to ancient Chinese medical tradition, which taught that good health depended on the balance and flow of natural forces throughout the body Mair wonders if the Huatuo legend might relate to some lost Asian medical tradition practiced by the Xinjiang people. One clue is that the name Huatuo is uncommon in China and seems close to the Sanskrit word for medicine.[/color]

[color=black]THE WOOLEN GARMENTS WORN BY THE MUMMIES MAY provide some clue to where exactly the Xinjiang people came from. A sample of cloth brought back by Mair was examined by University of Pennsylvania anthropologist Irene Good, a specialist in early Eurasian textiles. Examining the cloth under a low-power microscope, she saw that the material was not, strictly speaking, wool at all.[/color]

[color=black]Wool comes from the undercoat of a sheep; this material appeared to have been spun from the coarse outer hair (called kemp) of a sheep or goat. Despite the crudeness of the fibers, they were carefully dyed green, blue, and brown to make a plaid design.[/color]

[color=black]They were also woven in a diagonal twill pattern that indicated the use of a rather sophisticated loom. The overall technique, Good believes, is "characteristically European" and, she says, the textile is "the easternmost known example of this kind of weaving technique." Similar textile fragments, she notes, have been recovered from roughly the same time period at sites in Germany, Austria, and Scandinavia.[/color]

[color=black]Another hint of outside connections struck Mair as he roamed across Qizilchoqa. Crossing an unexcavated grave, he stumbled upon an exposed piece of wood, which he quickly realized had once belonged to a wagon wheel.[/color]

[color=black]The wheel was made in a simple but distinctive way, by doweling together three carved, parallel wooden planks. This style of wheel is significant: wagons with nearly identical wheels are known from the grassy plains of the Ukraine from as far back as 3000 B.C.[/color]

[color=black]Most researchers now think the birthplace of horse drawn vehicles and horse riding was in the steppes east and west of the Urals rather than in China or the Near East. As archeologist David Anthony and his colleagues have shown through microscopic study of ancient horse teeth, horses were already being harnessed in the Ukraine 6,000 years ago. The Ukraine horses, Anthony found, show a particular kind of tooth wear identical to that of modern horses that "fight the bit."[/color]

[color=black]The world's earliest high-status vehicles also seem to have originated in the steppes; recent discoveries of wooden chariots with elaborate spoked wheels were reported by Anthony to date to around 2000 B.C. Chariots do not seem to have appeared in China until some 800 years later. A number of artifacts recovered from the Xinjiang burials provide important evidence for early horse riding.[/color]

[color=black]Qizilchoqa yielded a wooden bit and leather reins, a horse whip consisting of a single strip of leather attached to a wooden handle, and a wooden cheek piece with leather straps. This last object was decorated with an image of the sun that was probably religious in nature and that was also found tattooed on some of the mummies.[/color]

[color=black]And at Subashi, archeologists discovered a padded leather saddle of exquisite workmanship. Could the Xinjiang people have belonged to a mobile, horse-riding culture that spread from the plains of eastern Europe? Does this explain their European appearance? If so, could they have been speaking an ancient forerunner of modern European, Indian, and Iranian languages?[/color]

[color=black]Though the idea is highly speculative, a number of archeologists and linguists think the spread of Indo-European languages may be linked to the gradual spread of horse-riding and horse-drawn- vehicle technology from its origins in Europe 6,000 years ago. The Xinjiang mummies may help confirm these speculations. Intriguingly, evidence of a long-extinct language belonging to the Indo- European family does exist m central Asia.[/color]

[color=black]This language, known as Tocharian, is recorded in manuscripts from the eighth century A.D., and solid evidence for its existence can be found as far back as the third century. Tocharian inscriptions from this period are also found painted in caves in the foothills of the mountain west of Urumqi, along with paintings of swash-buckling knights wielding long swords. The knights are depicted with full red beards and European faces.[/color]

[color=black]Could the Xinjiang people have been their ancestors, speaking an early version of Tocharian? "My guess is that they would have been speaking some form of Indo-European," comments Don Ringe, a historical linguist at the University of Pennsylvania, "but whether it was an early form of Tocharian or some other branch of the family, such as Indo-Iranian, we may never know for sure."[/color]

[color=black]Perhaps a highly distinctive language would help explain why the Xinjiang people's distinctive appearance and culture persisted over so many centuries. Eventually they might well have assimilated with the local population - the major ethnic group in the area today, the Uygur, includes people with unusually fair hair and complexions.[/color]

[color=black]That possibility will soon be investigated when Mair, Francalacci, and their Chinese colleagues compare DNA from ancient mummy tissue with blood and hair samples from local people. Besides the riddle of their identity, there is also the question of what these fair-haired people were doing in a remote desert oasis. Probably never wealthy enough to own chariots, they nevertheless had wagons and well-tailored clothes. Were they mere goat and sheep farmers? Or did they profit from or even control prehistoric trade along the route that later became the Silk Road? If so, they probably helped spread the first wheels and certain metalworking skills into China.[/color]

[color=black]"Ultimately I think our project may end up having tremendous implications for the origins of Chinese civilization," Mair reflects. "For all their incredible inventiveness, the ancient Chinese weren't cut off from the rest of the world, and influences didn't just flow one way, from China westward."[/color]

[color=black]Unfortunately, economics dictates that answers will be slow in coming. The Chinese do not have the money to spare for this work, and Wang and his team continue to operate on a shoestring. Currently most of the corpses and artifacts are stored in a damp, crowded basement room at the Institute of Archeology in Urumqi, in conditions that threaten their continued preservation. If Mair's plans for a museum can be financed with Western help, perhaps the mummies can be moved. Then, finally, they'll receive the study and attention that will ultimately unlock their secrets.[/color]
