Ill make my prediction here...not on the outcome but on the events after. I bet there is almost near repeat of the 2000 election, and if the dems in fact appear to "loose" at first, they will make legal challenges in as many courts as they can. It could get messy
oh well, predicitons are just like an arse, everybody has one

I predict that you're wrong. Not because the Democrats aren't weasels who try to beat democracy using the courts, but because for a 2000 repeat, there would have to be a very close election in a pivotal state. The chance that happening again, as it did in Florida in 2000, is slim. And, in spite of being so liberal, Kerry doesn't strike me as such a slimeball that he would run to the courts as easily as Gore did.

Here's my prediction:
Bush is reelected by a comfortable margin. Something blows up or falls down or crashes at about the time of his inauguration, and it'll be the work of Hamas or someone affiliated with Hamas (conveniently). The Likudnicons come out hiding. We find out that Syria has weapons of mass distraction. The draft is implemented and off we go on another wild goose chase. We don't touch Iran because of Russia and the terrain is too bad and there are too many armed people there. If Bush fails to take us into Syria, he'll end up in a Wellstone Plane or a JFK car and Cheney will take us in. The Patriot act III is inacted and the erosion of civil rights will be almost complete. Under the cover of the Syrian war, the Palestinians will be forced into about 40% of the West Bank, the rest will be officially annexed by Israel.
There's my prediction for the next four years!

Talk about bold predictions. I was going to share my next prediction, sometime next year the president forgets to tie his shoes and it's not noticed until 20 minutes later. But, after you prediction, mine seems rather weak.

Prediction:
Riots ensue after the re-election of George Bush and martial law is installed.
Bush, with his mandate from the voters, and his mandate from God, starts pounding Iraq (maybe Syria & Iran too) with B-52 bombers, thereby engraging the ENTIRE world. The US Draft begins engraging millions of Americans.
Bombs and missiles from somewhere start blasting Israel and American troops in the region, along with some terrorist attacks in the US of A. The economy collapses in the US sending millions to the poor house. Racial strife accelerates in the US and Europe. The US intesifies and widens bombing campaigns in the Middle East to Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan (after Musharaff is overthrown). US threatens Russia and Europe. China is in it's own revolution and bombs Taiwan and Japan, while North Korea starts bombing South Korea.
WWIII is ratched up when US delivers nuclear strikes on orders from George Bush, to southern Russia, Iran, Syria, Pakistan, Afgahnistan (after Karzai disappears). US mainland is struck by nuclear missiles from North Korea, Russia, China. Israel launches nuclear missiles against Europe, and Europe manages to launch several at Israel.
The world is on fire for the next 5-7 years where then the rest of the living migrate to South America to finish of the genocide started by Cortez and establish the New Survival Colony.
Africa remains a lost civilization and implodes from starvation and cannibalism and depopulates itself.

Here's my $.02 worth of wishful thinking.
I'm hoping that Bush invades Iran (while hoping against hope that Iran hasn't actually gone nuclear yet), and reinstitutes the draft. This will extend the pain to all of American society. The inevitable then happens as we're involved in Vietnam times 10. The price of oil blasts into outer space, the trade and budget deficits explode, the dollar weakens and finally other countries turn to the Euro (and maybe the Yuan?) as the reserve currency. The dollar plummets against all major currencies. The price of gold goes to $2000/ounce. This sets off panic from Wall Street to Main Street. There are strikes in vital war industries that the Empire is forced to supress. The federal government has a payment crisis where soldiers and FBI agents don't get paid on time, and anyway the value of their Thrift Savings Plans are wiped out by rampant inflation. The deep resentment that is already simmering within the gentile rank and file of the military and secret police comes to a boiling point. There is a breakdown in discipline on the front as soldiers begin to frag their officers. Race riots break out on aircraft carriers.
There are food riots and strikes, as the currency collapses.
On the war front, there are thousands upon thousands of casulaties (that's the nasty bit that we'll have to endure). Ultimately, Imperial troops will be driven from the Middle East. The retreat starts out orderly, but quickly morphs into a rout.
The Chinese attack Taiwan, and make a lunge toward the Caspian. The Japanese kiss us good-bye and side with China. Europe sh*ts its pants and make a deal with Russia to prevent the Chinese from moving beyond Central Asia, and to protect Russian borders (Mongolia is history).
The Empire's situation becomes untenable. They try to pull back from their overstretch, but it's too late. A general collapse begins.
And suddenly the sheeple are awakened. For one brief shining moment their brains, cruelly lobotomized by a lifetime of cheap beer and Monday Night Football, are open to new ideas.
If we could catch them at that moment, we might have a chance to survive as a people. I think that much depends on us on the far right. If we can just convince the sheeple of some simple truths we might have a chance. For example, that racism is a good thing, or that the Jews are largely responsible for the current mess. Then the rest will follow almost automatically. The Mexicans will return to Mexico, the Haitians to Haiti, and the Jews will move to lovely Ashdod.
The federal government will be the object of even greater disdain that it is now. The far right A new Constitutional Convention is called.
If we organize, then maybe we could pull it off. We might be approaching our last chance to save the life of our European, Christian, and English-speaking American Republic.
Anyway, that's basically how I'm hoping it will shake down. It most likely won't look anything like that.

I think Japan will start building nukes some time in the next ten years and lead East Asia in a new "Cold War" with China. The US may not even be a party to this. I think Kerry is a bigger slimeball than Gore (how I wish Gore had gotten a few thousand more votes in Florida, it amuses me greatly to say), but the fact that so many of us are uncharacteristically sympathetic to his campaign is causing many of us to perceive him as (much) better than he is. We want Kerry as our next President, since the alternative is Bush, but let's not forget what a worthless, lying, conniving, downright [B]EVIL[/B] sack of filth he is. It really is saying something that Bush is actually worse. Kerry becomes our enemy as of Inauguration Day.

He may be no better a man than Bush II but at least he hasn't betrayed the Euro working & middle classes to Plutocracy and Globalism.

Maybe. The Unions may hold him in check on some of the trade and labor issues like immigration and Mexican trucks.
