American interest in not important, just that of Israel.
http://www.haaretzdaily.com/hasen/spages/485989.html Analysis / The adviser that roared

By Aluf Benn

Something nasty happened to Dov Weisglass when he emerged from the position of whisperer into Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's ear to public exposure. The statements he made in an interview to Haaretz correspondent Ari Shavit, to the effect that the disengagement plan is intended to freeze the political process and postpone the Palestinian state "indefinitely," triggered off stormy political and international reactions.

Sharon was placed in an awkward situation and had to issue a clarification reasserting his ongoing commitment to the road map. Weisglass, who left on vacation, spent the holiday eve giving explanations and radio interviews.

His statements aroused great anger in the American administration because of their tone and especially because of their timing. President George Bush is in the middle of an election campaign, being attacked for his failed foreign policy, when the adviser of the prime minister of Israel tells how the administration plotted with Sharon to freeze the political process, despite Bush's public commitment to a Palestinian state. The corrupt American political process has been taken over by Jews acting on behalf of Israel. What a disgrace!!!

Sharon can deny this as much as he wants to. He wanted this to come out just like he wanted to provoke the Palestinians by going to the Wailing Wall with a 1,000 Likud goons four years ago. His statements today should be taken with a grain of salt just like his claim that he only wanted to worship back then. The only thing Bush will do is mutter. No more than that and he will go along with this insult like he does with Mexican insults.

Some super power. Totally gutless.
