" PHOENIX -- The Border Patrol said Thursday that it nabbed nearly 600,000 illegal immigrants coming into Arizona in the last year, a drastic increase that is due in large part to an aggressive enforcement effort launched in March.
The beefed-up enforcement involves helicopters, ground sensors, two unmanned surveillance aircraft and dozens more border agents in Arizona -- the busiest illegal entry point on the U.S.-Mexico border.
"We are just making it very difficult for the smuggling organizations to get across the border," Border Patrol spokesman Andy Adame said. "Enforcement has never been better in southern Arizona than it is now."

ââ¬ÅI will work with Congress to lift the immigration ban on HIV -positive people that has prohibited the United States from hosting this lifesaving meeting,ââ¬Â promised the senator. "

"PHOENIX (AP) -- Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry said he would make wide changes to immigration policies to help reduce the suffering of illegal immigrants crossing hostile terrain to find work in the American labor market.
Kerry said his plan would give some illegal immigrants a chance to earn citizenship and let relatives reunite with family members who are working in the United States."

"The International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC) applauds Senator John Kerry's commitment to "work with Congress to lift the (United States) immigration ban on HIV-positive people" if elected President. Kerry made the pledge in a press statement marking the opening of the XV International AIDS Conference in Bangkok, noting that the ban has long prohibited the US from hosting this important world meeting."

Christ, even Freepers don't try to pretend that Bush is doing anything serious to secure the border. It's common knowledge that that spike in arrests was caused mainly by third world scum rushing here to take advantage of Bush's amnesty. Take your head out of Karl Rove's ass and look around you, this country is being overrun by these invaders. There's a damn mountain of evidence on this site about Bush's immigration treason, do we have to dig it all up and repost it all over again?
