According to the August 20 New York Times, "a series of interviews and a review of documents show a web of connections to the Bush family, high-profile Texas political figures and President Bush’s chief political aide, Karl Rove. Records show that the group received the bulk of its initial financing from two men with ties to the president and his family." [/size][/font] [left][font=Times New Roman, Times, serif][size=3]The last thing dirty tricksters are interested in is truth. [/size][/font] [/left] [left][font=Times New Roman, Times, serif][size=3]This group of frauds claims that Kerry’s heroics were nothing but a PR operation and his wounds exaggerated or self-inflicted. [/size][/font] [/left] [left][font=Times New Roman, Times, serif][size=3]Think about that for a moment. The scurrilous attack on Kerry is an attack on all decorated veterans. If the US Navy handed out fraudulent Silver and Bronze Stars and Purple Hearts to Kerry, how do we know if anyone’s medals are good? [/size][/font] [/left] [left][font=Times New Roman, Times, serif][size=3]And how exactly does a person go about self-inflicting shrapnel wounds? [/size][/font] [/left] [left][font=Times New Roman, Times, serif][size=3]The way I figure it, the Republican dirty trick meisters believe if President Bush can lie about war, they can lie about Kerry. If they succeed in destroying the concept of truth and the shame of being a liar, how will our society differ from the great tyrannies of the 20th century? [/size][/font] [/left] [left][font=Times New Roman, Times, serif][size=3]Former Swift Boat commander Larry Thurlow claims that no boat was under fire when Kerry turned back to rescue Green Beret Jim Rassmann, who was blown into the water. Yet, the Washington Post reports that Thurlow’s own Bronze Star citation says that all five boats were under "enemy small arms and automatic weapons fire." Jim Rassmann backs Kerry’s account and says he expected to be killed by Viet Cong fire. [/size][/font] [/left] [left][font=Times New Roman, Times, serif][size=3]When confronted with the words on his own citation, Thurlow claims never to have read his citation and that it is wrong. Does anyone really believe that a person awarded a Bronze Star wouldn’t read the citation accompanying the medal? [/size][/font] [/left] [left][font=Times New Roman, Times, serif][size=3]Did you know that Kerry’s critics were not even present at the action for which Kerry was awarded the Silver Star? Writing in the Chicago Tribune on August 21, 2004, William B. Rood excoriates Kerry’s critics for "stories I know to be untrue." Anyone have any additional info on this? I know Dubya is half-heartedly telling the "soft money" group to stop their advertisements, but I can't say I'm impressed. The veteran's group insists they will continue to air these ads. Doesn't it seem funny that this group would publically say no to the President (and I use that term loosely) of the United States, if they weren't in cahoots with him?

I bought their book and I am going to send them money too…does that mean that I am part of this new conspiracy to discredit poor, heroic Kerry? :o Or, rather, is this a new ploy to discredit the 250+ white men who have made a stand against Kosher Kerry and his dishonesty?

I find it strange that anyone would join the side of the jewish media, in their attempts to blacken the reputation of honest white heroes: the media is saying this only in order to put their dirty Zionist in office…truth has no business with them! They only want to discredit these white veterans, so their message will be lost. Remember, if something is repeated often enough, the masses will believe it, regardless of its basis in truth…

Iconoclast14, Bush never claimed to be any kind of war hero; as a matter of fact he has never really brought the subject up. Why do you attack him as though he were a fraud on something where he never claimed anything?! While Bush never claimed to have been a war hero, Kerry claimed that he was a war hero, but vilified everyone else in the service…he basically made it out like he was the only decent man in the whole service, painting the rest of the vets like murderers, rapists and all other sorts of scum.

The Swift Boat Veterans for Truth are sincere white guys, and I don’t think our people should join with the jewish media in calling their intentions wrong and evil…what is this, but crucifying Vietnam vets all over again, like Kerry and the jewish media did many years ago? And why are we doing it? Because they had the gumption to make a stand against Kosher Kerry, as they knew he would be bad for this country. These guys are all true, white, American heroes. I am proud of these guys, and they are exactly the kind of men that deserve our support against the jewish media onslaught … We should not be taking up the enemy’s cross, in order to crucify these men again! Kerry did it once…do we need to do it again?! I don’t think so…We should STAND WITH OUR OWN!

So what? It is obviously in Bush and his supporter's interest for these vets to come out with the truth...but that does NOT minimize the honesty of what these men said! If Perry is a GOP supporter and finances them, who cares?! As long as what is being said is truth, I don't care who finances it...after all, the media doesn't give these vets a voice...they need to buy that voice, and it's good that there's someone out there willing to give money to get the truth out!

Well, I seem to recall his Guard record being "accidentally" destroyed shortly after some questions about whether or not he actually ever showed up for duty.

The reason there's so many anti-Bush attacks is because he's the sitting president of a country that has lit the fuse for WWIII. The Bush presidency is an unequivocal DISASTER. Bush is the face of the DISASTER therefore most media attacks are going against him. Kerry is not the president yet, but I'm positive if he F's it up like Bush, he'll get the same treatment from the Republican media whores.

Then why did the same media cover up for Clinton all the time? Clinton was a million times worse than Bush!
