The Gun Grab starts in Brazil
It's looks as if Brazil's new Marxist government is taking all private firearms. The pictures on TV of of (white)people waiting in line to turn in guns was most sickening!

Owning a gun is over rated, back in Cuba in 1958 in order to join Castro you had to kill a government soldier in order to take his weapon.
With of the shelf material you can make a one shot shoot gun or pistol, you can also make a cross bow and many other types of weapons if you really had to,,,,,,, now that you can you should educate yourselves in the arts so that you will be better prepared for the future.
Keep one or two weapons at hand and hide the rest of them, that way if they do confiscate weapons they will only take the one or two that you keep in the open.
Be carefull from now on when ever you buy a new gun, from anyone, the government could place a chip somewhere in the weapon in order to track it and find it, if you do get a new firearm be sure to hide it "AWAY" from your other weapons.
Be sure to tell your "friends", or show them, only the two weapons that you keep at hand.

Ponce,
I agree, I would do not buy a gun from an FFL, all buys are now reported to the feds and recorded by the ATF now.
Any thoughts or ideas on homemade gun?

A "friend" of mine who was a machinist made a fully working sug-gun, by following some plans, he even made a silencer for it and it worked just great.
The only thing that he had to buy already made was the 9mm barrel.
He also enjoys making one time shot gun firing divices that he can locate at strategic places not only as booby-traps but also able to operate by pulling on a booby-trap wire.
Places to place this divices would be around corners, where you can not see, and behind wall were you don't have a direct view of the target.
If you already know how to do all this then you should buy the material that you might need in the future and put it away. For the booby-trap wire I would suggest "Cheaper than Dirt".com
By the way, by coincidence I to used to be a machinist.

Ponce,
I am think about building a legal closed bolt 9mm carbine.
Home Workshop Guns for Defense & Resistance, Vol. I by Bill Holmes tells you how make a 9mm barrel; drill it out and cutting the groves.
These plans for a so-called 9mm "AR" are not bad but overly complex. 9mm AR by Bill Holmes (3 hours to download) http://www.biggerhammer.net/ar15/cad/9mm_ar15_homeconversion_blueprints.pdf
Sten Gun http://www.biggerhammer.net/manuals/sten/sten.pdf
I would also like try building a legal shotgun out of 3/4 inch pipe, i think it would be a good first gun to build. I can not find some of the parts the plans I have wanted.

9mm AR? I think that is really overcomplicated idea. 9mmPara is so low powered that it is simpler to make simple blowback operating weapon, like old submachineguns, shooting from open bolt. Only thing which really matters is mass of lock( or is it called breech, or bolt my dictionary in weapon part namings in english is quite poor). But carbine sized weapon can easily have bolt weighing about 5 pounds (2 kilogramms I mean).

Bill Holmes 9mm "AR" is a blowback operating weapon. He tells you how make both open and closed bolt gun. It is not a ban plan, but if you don't want to use it on an AR lower frame it is more complex than it needs to be. You might down load the book.
I would like to see a good set of plan for a closed bolt sten.
