I think Fred hit the nail on the head here. (No pun intended.)

No mention though of the large number of "Coffee-Colored" attractive women as announcers on the News Networks.

No, actually Fred just missed the nail, as usual.

"My point is not that all these things are in all respects bad..."

Yes, they are. But when you're afraid -- as aw-shucks Fred evidently is -- of being called a "racist" or a "homophobe," or a "sexist" or a you-name-it, you try to soft-pedal your criticism. Best not to be too "judgmental," lest you lose the respect of all those nice liberal folks with whom you rub elbows.

"How perfectly incredible that a group of—what? A hundred producers, studio heads, and network CEOs? A thousand to be conservative?—can bypass governments, subvert ancient cultures, and make the world as unhappy and divided as they have made the United States."

How perfectly incredible that Fred can see all this so clearly and yet manage to miss the ethnicity of the overwhelming majority of that little knot of mind-molders.

"In Mexico, where I live...

Well, that may be part of Fred's problem.

Fred is like a boxer who always throws his fights. Every time you think he's just about to score a knockout blow, he pulls the punch. He sees the truth, yet it seems he dares speak only a tithe of it.
