The aides's name: Golan Cipel.
Gov. McGreevey will hold a news conference at 4 p.m., where he is expected to discuss sexual harassment allegations made by his former aide, Golan Cipel.
McGreevey held an emergency cabinet meeting at approximately 2:00 pm., where he discussed his future political plans, including whether he will plan to seek re-election in 2005.
There was discussion as to whether McGreevey with either leave in November or not seek re-election in 2005.

New Jersey Gov. James McGreevey announced his resignation after two years in office, saying that he is a ââ¬Ågay Americanââ¬Â and that he had an extramarital affair.
Mr. McGreevey, a married father of two, said in a speech Thursday afternoon that staying silent about his sexuality would have left his office open to rumors and false allegations.
According to some news reports, Mr. McGreevey, 47, is facing a sexual harassment suit by Golan Cipel, an Israeli national and poet who was hired by the governor as his homeland security adviser in 2002 despite Mr. Cipelââ¬â¢s ineligibility for a federal security clearance. Mr. Cipel was kicked off the payroll months later.

Well, I'll say this much about McGreevey, he's done the honorable thing by resigning from office. I doubt others in his situation would have done the same thing. Do you know what it would mean to have a openly gay governor? It would eventually lead to having a openly gay U.S. president.
It's bad enough that American society has embraced homosexuality as it has. We don't need homos as our mayors and governors too.

Found this interesting tid-bit on yahoo... Kinda supports your suspicions:
*One source, a senior McGreevey political adviser, said Cipel threatened McGreevey several weeks ago that unless he was paid "millions of dollars," Cipel would file a lawsuit against the governor charging him with sexual harassment.
That source said a lawyer for Cipel "indicated that should the money be paid, Cipel would disappear until after the 2005 election."
The second source, a high-ranking member of the McGreevey administration, said Cipel made several threats about a lawsuit and demanded "an exorbitant sum of money to make it go away." Cabinet members and administration officials learned of that threat Wednesday night, the official said. *

I don't think even this rotten system will ever succeed in foisting an openly male homosexual President on us (although I suppose a lesbian President is a minor possibility, and while I don't generally buy the homosexual lobby's efforts to portray seemingly every major historical figure as one of them, I do think the rumours about President James Buchanan were true, but at least he had the decency to practice discretion). With that said, McGreevey's resignation is a very good thing; it helps to subconciously confirm to the average Boobus Americanus that what they always believed is still true, i.e that there is something shameful about homosexuality. McGreevey has done more to set his movement back than anything I can recall in modern times, arguably.
An Israeli poet who was his paid security adviser, despite being lawfully ineligible for the job? Sounds like typical kike blackmail to me. I wouldn't be surprised if the Mossad were using access to McGreevey's office to plan the next round of terrorist attacks (the recent terrorist alerts included one or two targets in northern New Jersey) and that his understanding that dirty work was afoot may have contributed to his seemingly unlikely decision to resign. If so, its to his credit.

Nightline pathetically covered it tonight and Koppell said Cipel and his group were blackmailing him. I wonder who the heck consists of Cipel's group? Mossad or a gang of Jewish gays? lol.
Koppell also said that the lawsuit hadn't been filed as of yet as was stated in your article. I imagine we'll have to wait for the media to spin off its conspiracy theories for a few days before it makes the slightest bit of sense.

Governor's resignation
Media try to distract it as a gay affair. But watch it from another angle please.
The Governor's aid is from Israel. He blackmails politician and create a scandal. Samething happened six years ago when Clinton was dropped into Lewinsky scandal. Or if you still remember the death of Chandra Levy.
Lewinsky and Chandra Levy are all from Jewish families. (correct me if I am wrong) Easy being recruit target of intelligence. It seems US politicians are surrounded by the power of Israelis. Affairs created, if politicians wouldn't obey, then there was a scandal. Chandra Levy had affair with her boss too. She might be killed by the organization which controlled her. Anyway, not every woman wants to be popular in Lewinsky's way. Chandra might have refused to create a scadal and resigned her job as aid of Rep. Gary Condit . She was killed. And the target, Congressman Gary Condit, lost his job too.

I think the Jews go out of their way to promote homosexual public figures. It's a win-win situation for them. They can manipulate them with subtle threats of exposure, and if the public figure comes "out of the closet" they have the benefit of promoting homosexuality. After all, haven't they been doing this with actors and musicians? Why would it be any different for politicians? BTW, I read about a queer Congressman or Senator a while back, but can't remember the name.
Edit: Did they ever find Chandra Levy's body or is she in Israel like Jimmy Hoffa probably is?

I got it when I saw the news said he is a member of 'intelligence committee'. A committee which oversees Federal law enforcement agency. That's the way they played once and again in peace time. Though Gary Condit was found having no relationship to Levy's death, he lost his nomination.
Why Chandra Levy had to die?
In Lewinsky scandal, Lewinsky and Linda Trip played a role of TIPS. They revealed the affair by a delibrate phone record. Nobody likes them. Nobody wants his privacy being secretly recorded by his friend.
So there is nobody want to play Linda Trip any more. If they want a scandal, and Chandra Levy had self dignity and refused to be a second Paula Jones, what would be the result? The organization which controlled her wouldn't allow that happenning.
Perhaps she did not want to play a role like that, Chandra was going for another job in state prison. Her death happened before her leaving. The last chance to use her in a scandal.
The news said she checked the map of the site before she going for the jogging. She was meeting an aquaintance for an appointment. It's obvious. Only she didn't know she had to die if she insisted not to be second Paula Jones.

They successfully diverted public's attention.
Using a big event to transfer people's attention is a tactic agent used to play. Here, Chandra's death once again used by those who killed her.

In "Swift boat veterans for truth", we see so many different messages with diversify titles to attack Demo candidate Kerry. Yet, we know it's only a GOP tactic to smear their rival Kerry. This is election year. GOP is certainly need a big scandal to attack Demos. Yet, they silenced.
