In a previous post, I described America’s current psycho-historical situation as one of “paranoid collapse”, which is the next-to-last stage in the unwinding of the containing group-fantasy, the last being “upheaval.”  This mass (group) phenomenon follows the lawful trajectory of a dream-state unity as in individuals, developing degeneratively to psychotic delusions of persecution. …paranoia.

In the group-think engendered and sustained by media of mass communication,

The metaphorical image of “probing” is a Lacanian signifier. In male psychology, it signifies (“alludes to”, as Freud put it) anal rape.  And as for the defensive male behavior triggered by real threat that signifies, well, as a guy might say, don’t even think about it.

Then, it turns out males calling themselves guys DO think about it – a lot; maybe all the time.  O.K.  I’m here to announce, not denounce.  This Token*, as “signifiers” may be called to distinguish them from the textual content read through them,  goes with  California Governor Arnold Schwartzenneger using “girly men”  for ready-to-spend, but responsibility-evading liberal Democrats.  He was saying “you are acting like women, so that’s how you will be treated, by me.”  Townhall columnist Ben Shapiro seconds that:

This is a virtual kid, person-wise.  Late teen or early 20-something, precocious as hell, sticking it to* those feckless Dems.  It is enough, for present purposes, to call attention to what is going on, his ‘position’, or agenda.  His name associations tag the source.  As a virtual kid, person-wise, he is using the language of anal rape of grown men as a political barb.  If it weren’t oxymonic, one might fear for his soul.  As it is, concern should be tendered for whatever that soul sits on, or in.  (His words are a defense against threat of that.)

The direction in which this is heading is perhaps already becoming clear. In order to keep it connected and grounded in actual current event, however, time-outs and Freudian summations want exposure. There are major unspoken, but constantly alluded-to nodes, or complexes, tapped by Tokens of highly exciting unconscious fantasies. The most powerful, in terms of impact, distribution, force-of-action/reaction (“Power Pac S*”) are those the Leader (as “father”) uses, with the pronoun “we”, picked up by all who are members of the sign-using group (here, America) as requi8red self-reference qua citizens. The words he applies to events and situations define how all who communicate to each other about said events and situations. Are put in the position of either sharing the grammar (self-reference under “we”) in the act of communicating with them; or withhold – either in overt refusal, or inwardly (“on the token side”)
