Here in Southern California, there are is a talk show called the John and Ken Show and they are ALWAYS talking about illegal immigration. They were the guys who emasculated Asa Hutchinson in a 22 minute interview and I discussed this interview in the immigration section.
Anyway, Republicans are pissed off. What more do we have to do to get our represetatives to enforce and prosecute illegal aliens!
So, what these talk show hosts are doing is singling out the 13 southern california Republican Congressmen and they are going to narrow down to one Republican that we are gonna sacrifice.
The notion being that we will either get behind, en mass, the Democratic opponent or a Republican write-in (hasn't been decided yet) and help them in their election against a long term safe republican.
Right now, David Dreier who is the epitome of the wishy washy double speaking snake is in the lead.

SoCal Jeffersonian,
I am sick of the GOP nonsense and so are many GOPers, they just feel helpless to do anything.
Some Freepers get it. [QUOTE]To: QQQQQ
"Why are so-called conservatives doing the work of the left?"
That is what you seem to miss.
Drier has a WORSE voting record on immigration, than Diane Feinstein. In other words, virtually any democrat will be the same, or BETTER, on immigration than Drier.
It is a single issue political symbolic tactic: Shows Republicans they better get going on immigration, or they could be going.
Do you hail from SoCal? Listen to the radio broadcast? Have any grasp of the role they played with Davis ouster/Arnold election?

The flood of immigration is dramatically changing this country, and not for the better. Drastic actions are necesssary since the boys inside the Beltway don't seem to care. Put the heat on.

It's a simple concept.
The democrats, such as Joe Baca, are known for supporting illegal aliens.
The Republicans claim to be against illegal aliens.
When the sweeps were happening in Temecula, Joe Baca went into Asa Hutchinson's office and demanded that the sweeps be halted. And they were.
Not a single Republican marched into Hutchinson's office demanding they be reinstated.
The liberal voters have democrats, such as Baca to represent their interests and see that action is taken.
Who acts for the conservative voter? Not a single one of the California delegation has spoken out in favor of the sweeps.
So, if they're not willing to stand up for the American citizen, then they don't deserve to be in office.
When Joe Baca was the one who got Asa to stop the sweeps, he proved that he cared more for illegal aliens than he did for American citizens, so he was automatically placed on the list for political human sacrifice.
The Southern California Republicans were invited to come on the John and Ken show to defend their inaction about the sweeps and to a man (and woman) gave excuses about why they didn't act and talked about their actions to get the sweeps started again. (sternly worded letters to Asa)
Beyond this, they took no action.
The worst republican on illegal aliens is Bush himself. On June 29, 2004 the Bush administration signed the Social Security Totalization Agreement with Mexico that will allow literally millions of former and current Mexican illegal aliens, their wives and their children to collect literally billions of dollars of SS retirement and disability payments. At home. In Mexico. Forever.
With friends like these, who needs enemies? 25 posted on 09/16/2004 11:45:08 AM PDT by Ol' Dan Tucker

I see. The democrats did the first amnesty, under Reagan? No. It was Republican Reagan.
And the democrats now propose another amnesty? Actually Republican Bush has another "scheme" in mind, just lacking the word "amnesty."
Both parties have failed to respect public opinion about immigration.
It makes no sense to give the Republicans a pass, just because they are "us" and not "them."
It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

David Dreier through the National Republican Congressional Committee have filed a criminal lawsuit against these talk show hosts now. Can you believe this clown is trying to suppress free speech by pulling this stunt?
Absolutely disgusting.
