Monday 28 June 2004, 1:23 Makka Time, 22:23 GMT
A US marine captured by a purported Iraqi resistance group is to be decapitated unless certain prisoners held in occupation prisons are released.
In a video broadcast by Aljazeera on Sunday, the Islamic Retaliation Movement/Armed Resistance Wing said US marine Hassoun Wassef Ali would be beheaded if detainees in US-led occupation prisons were not freed.
The group claims to have taken Ali - of Pakistani origin - captive after "infiltrating a US military base in Iraq".
The video received by Aljazeera shows a kneeling blindfolded moustached man in camouflage military garb. A hand holding a long sword is seen standing behind Ali.
Just hours earlier, an unidentified group of purported Iraqi fighters threatened to behead a Pakistani driver working for a US-occupation contractor within three days.
The captors also urged Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf to shut down his country's embassy in Iraq.
Captive details
The second captive was named as Yusuf Amjad, an employee of US contractor Kellogg Brown and Root (KBR).
KBR is a subsidiary of the giant Halliburton company which was once headed by US Vice President Dick Cheney.
Like other contractors for the US-led occupation, it has suffered mounting attacks on its staff.
"This man was taken after an attack on a US base in Balad," said one of the masked fighters on a tape obtained by Al-Arabiya.
"You must release our prisoners held near the US base in Balad, in Dujail, in Yathrib, in Samarra and near Abu Ghraib. You have three days from the date of this recording and after that we will behead him. We have warned you.

I'm against this war for the Jews, but I'm getting tired of these Muslims animals and these cowardly beheadings.

They're not animals, they're acting as any healthy humans would (or should) to an invasion. They seem like "animals" to we Westerners because our instincts have long been lost in this regard--we're too squeamish and too sanitized.
Actually, this particular beheading should be considered more acceptable since this time they have an actual combatant instead of a civilian. But consider this: because it's a Marine, watch how much more outraged Joe Sixpack is going to get than if it were just another nameless civilian Halliburton employee. Isn't that a fascinating revelation of the unconscious psychological workings of the American public?--it really hurts them when one of their Nintendo warriors that they vicariously yell "Let's Roll" through gets captured.
From a propaganda perspective, the more televised beheadings the better. Maybe Americans will really get serious about withdrawing troops from that area of the world once they're up to beheading number 25 or so. Then again, I give Americans way too much credit.
Besides, the Marine is a Paki...not one of our own anyway.

It just seems like a cowardly way to dispatch the enemy.
I think these Muslims would be behead all of us if they could.

It's their traditional method for their civilization. "Different strokes" and all that (no pun intended).

Probably so. I know you'd agree that we'd never have to worry about that if we had a government, run by us and for us, that was actually on our side. I find these sorts of news stories very reassuring and encouraging, as they herald the fact that the day of victory over ZOG is coming ever closer.
Let the scalding pot boil over.

It would be better if they just tried the marine for war crimes and then executed him (and release the video), rather than holding him hostage and then killing him. At least that's what I would think if I were one of them.
BTW, I think it's ridiculous to call them cowards. What would be braver? To kill the marine without holding him? Not to go out capturing hostages? As Rush Limbaugh likes to say, of all people, words have meaning. They know that they're making themselves top targets for the US military.
Maybe you think they should be shooting at marines, instead? Maybe they do that too. But, that's a little more foolish and brave.
If they were cowards, they wouldn't be resisting the US occupation.

I think stripping a defenseless man of his dignity and humanity and chopping off his head is the act of a coward -- regardless of the context.
After these beheadings, the Muslims have no right to complain about Abu Gharib.

VF, you can huff 'n puff from now to November, but, that ain't going to change moslem attitudes.
About the only thing we can really do is to stop all moslem immigration into the US, and deport all moslems here on any type of visa or those here illegally.
We should get tough on illegal aliens of any type including Mexicans and Latino Americanos...swift deportation of foreign nationals in the US illegally...no, ands, ifs or buts, and maybe they should walk back across the border Andrew Jackson style.
You should write your Congressmen and state Governor...

Exactly right. Good start, too. Next round would be to deport all foreign-born (and their descendants) that came into the U.S. since the Immigration Act of 1965--that piece of legislation is the true point of origin of the problem.

The United States under George W Bush was thoroughly and extravagantly warned about the consequences of an illegal and unilateral invasion of Iraq based on false claims of WMD and other lies. Now, it's become the whole world's major problem since lawlessness has hence taken over Iraq, while all Muslims get scapegoated for 9/11.
Live by the sword, die by the sword. It's just a terrible shame that young people, American and Arab, from different sides of the world are thrown into a pit and ordered to kill or be killed. What a spectacle of blood. The designers of this war should be the ones facing the guillotine.

The muslim 'boys' deemed to allow three Turkish captives - that are working in their beloved Iraq - freedom from their neck-cutting.
Why? After all, those Turks have invaded their country and are exploiting their resources for monetary gain. Correct?
Why not cut their heads off?
Very simple. The Turks are muslims. And thus - free to go. And by doing so the muslim 'boys' lose all credibility. They are not fighting for their homeland.
This Turkish example should make it clear to all.

To the Iraqi and the Turk, the common enemy is the Kurd. The Kurd presents more of a risk to the Turks than any Iraqi.
Interesting is that the Jews (as in jew homeland jews) are playing footsie with the Kurds. The Jews are providing the Kurds with weapons and training...to attack Turkey??? http://www.antiwar.com/justin/?articleid=2859

It's all war propaganda based on how dare those animals resist occupation.
It's also funny that citizens of the eternal warfare state get so outraged at application of the golden rule.

Actually, if this is the case, then they gain more credibility, because it underscores a principle many at this particular forum endorse: one should naturally favor that which is most like oneself. How can I criticize a Muslim for favoring Muslims, when I advocate that Whites favor Whites?

That's why Turkey now wont give any water to the Jews and why they canceled the multimillion arms deal that they had with the Jews.
