So, what is the consensus here on OD?

Is this the Summer of the Crunch, as Paula Devlin contends?

GOD, GOLD & GUNS SURVIVAL 101

By: Paula Devlin

For forty years the ordinary American has taken a back seat to every cockamamie globalist scheme floated across the land, secure in the myth that our Constitutional protections would right the ship of state and all would be well. Now we must face the hard fact that others do not have the survival of the Republic in mind.

At this point, it does not matter who is behind it. What matters is what we are going to do to survive, take back our nation, Constitutional law and put Christianity back into the public forum.

The first order of business is to prepare oneself. Since any undertaking is bound to fail without Divine intervention, getting one’s spiritual house in order is paramount. Unrepentant, randy old sinners don’t live in God’s favor. A thorough housecleaning is in order, followed by a strict regimen of prayer and (sorry to shock the sybarites) sacrifice, in the form of self-denial.

The next level is household preparations. A will and instructions to your family, no debts, a supply of non-perishables and some hard currency will form a solid base. A method of survival without public utilities would be wise, particularly heat (and a generator for the computer?). A garden of heirloom vegetables is a good idea (and this can be a trusted-neighbor project) as is the ability to put them up for the winter. Guns and other means of self-defense are essential, what with the track record of radical Islam to chop off the heads of non-believers. Since we are not allowed to have crиches in public places and they can blast their prayers all over Christians, it looks like the government is on their side. That is a good reason not to count on the government to protect us.

Another group to watch is the illegals and their druggie gangs. They are being allowed to run amuck with their activities and some days it is hard to distinguish Albuquerque from Iraq. I’m sure it is the same in most cities and that aspect of the news is suppressed. These monsters are another variety of domestic terrorist that should have been squelched by the War on Drugs. But no, with our open borders, drugs, money and terrorists can travel more freely than citizens.

The lack of control over our borders clearly indicates that our beloved government has invited the next attack. Sending troops overseas and leaving us wide open to 10,000 illegal entries daily is nuts – or evil. Either way, we must deal with the consequences and not count on government for the proper response. The politicians and judiciary have shown time and again they are not to be trusted with their Constitutional responsibilities.

Organizing on the community level is difficult as the government is paranoid about so-called militias and other organizations critical of its unconstitutional activities (such as Waco and Ruby Ridge). CIA and FBI (to say nothing of the federal bureaucracy) seem to have been so infiltrated by Mossad, KGB and Chinese spies that they are useless. Only Hercules could clean out those stables! Because of that, some form of local organization is necessary, ready to deal with the upcoming crises.

Friends and family should be the first ones to be organized. I would caution against using the telephone or computer to make any plans, as the dudes at NSA and Fort Meade monitor every hiccup. Snail mail and face-to-face conversations are the best way. Any serious planning should be done in public places where the spy satellites would have trouble sorting out your conversation from the background noise. They can listen to everything going on in your house now, unless you have ј" metal ceilings.

With the next national emergency there will be curfews in the cities and what’s left of the National Guard will be called out. There will be an international stock market collapse and banks will fold, mortgages will be foreclosed. Since more than half our national debt is held by China and Japan, guess who will take control of the economy? Oil prices will make international transportation of food very expensive. These are things to discuss with your friends and extended family and form an action plan.

Having a 72 hour pack for each family member (including the pets) should be done now. That is in case of an evacuation. Even if yours is not on the A list of cities, you never know what kind of mayhem may be in the offing for your community. Suggestions for disaster supply kits can be found on the internet. Florida Emergency Management (http://floridadisaster.org/supplykit.htm) has a good one.

With all the braying from Washington about the next terrorist attack, it means ducks are lined up. We may never know for sure who the masterminds and the perps are, but we can’t rule out anyone.

The things you can count on over the long haul are God, gold and guns, supported by loving family and friends. Without loving family and friends, you won’t have much need for the gold or guns.

Yeah, I agree.

This Paula Devlin seems to bet Etherzone's resident survivalist.

So, when's the Crunch?

Big terror attack this summer, staged by MOSSAD?

Walter, the last sentence is very true. For any any of U.S. moving in June, these times will be anxious moments..

I have been reading all day long about the incoming oil energy crisis ,,,,,,,at this time I have a 1,250 and a 5,000 WATS generators,,,,,but, without gasoline to run them they wont do me any good, I do have 1,650 gallons in storage,,,,,big deal.

So, tomorrow I'll sending out for five more 125 WATS solar panels and 10 more 6 volts batteries, to add to the ones I already have.

A week ago I finished an air solar heather and it works great, I added a small solar powered fan in order to circulate the air faster. Before winter I'll be making at least two more.

Next I'll be making a solar water heather, I think that I'll make it in the S configuration instead of the T by using cooper tubing.

Speaking of gold, how have most of you gone about purchasing yours, and in what form? Krugerrands or American Eagles? Bullion? Old coins? Did you purchase from a dealer and have it shipped to you? Do you have it in a vault somewhere? Allocated or unallocated? Buried in the back yard? Also, have any of you tried out E-gold? (http://e-gold.com)

Walter, my guess is that Jews/Mossad will wait before butchering more Americans in another 911. The deciding factor will be the level of public support for America's war for Israel. Once that support starts to wane to the point that serious pressure is being brought to bear to pull the US out of Iraq, Jews will pull another 911 -- and leave evidence implicating Arabs, of course, just like last time.

I've often thought about proposing a Survivalist/Preparedness forum here on OD for all the truly paranoid members like myself.

The curtain will come down sooner or later, and OD seems like as good a place as any to discuss getting off the grid issues.

Does anyone know -- what is the quickest, easiest, cheapest, most reliable way to power your house if the grid is not available?
Does anyone know -- what is the quickest, easiest, cheapest, most reliable way to power your house if the grid is not available?
Some sources: www.backwoodssolar.com. They also have info on wind and hydro power. Hydro seems best becaue of the charging times, as loing as the water runs. So much depends on location. But, none of the big three are really cheap. Hydro is about $2500-$6500 for systems.

You might look into Amish sources, however, they seem to depend heavily on diesel, propane, and kero. If they had too, I'm sure they'd find a way to manage. But, that might fit your "cheap" requirement best. I'm not sure cheaper and reliable/sustainable are compatible. http://pittsburgh.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?site=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amish.net%2Flifestyle.asp Interesting ideas here, and a brief of how they live without power. Don't forget coal as a heat source, but .gov may have restrictions on burning(air pollution), plus, it stinks and drops fine black dust about 50 yards within the pipestack.

www.backwoodshome.com might have info. Also, see if there's something here. http://www.alpharubicon.com/altenergy/altenergy.htm

Electricity is so cheap, we use far more than we need to. The people who live off grid say conservation is the key. You could never produce at home what a power plant can send to you, but you can produce enough to conserve and live very well. Funny, in 2004, with all of our "progress", such demand to learn how to live primitive.

Nobody has any balls, and they know it. Where's Lee Harvey Oswald when you need him ? Who serves the food to them ? point option right there. Landscaping crews also have ability .. The only thing that can step them back is a purposeful, multi-laminated effort to let them understand they are no more than human. Ultimate Power only respects Ultimate Physical Power. And that's all it fears also, there is no God in this " game ". Not for them.
