Forget it. America 'knows' that organized crime is Italian; they think "Arnold Rothstein" was just a colorful figure from the Jazz Age, that "Dutch Schultz" was an actual Dutchman, and that "Murder Incorporated" was run from the back of an olive-oil importing company.
If the [B]true[/B] story of the Mob were ever told, Abe Foxman would sneak into the advance screening dressed as George Raft and flipping a coin, and Frank Rich would announce that DER STURMER was alive and well and in the gangster-movie business.
