Sen. Hollings defends column labeled "anti-Jewish" by some
(Columbia-AP) May 19, 2004 - Senator Ernest Hollings is defending statements he made in a newspaper opinion article he wrote that said President Bush went to war with Iraq to protect Israel and appease American Jews. Read it on the senator's web site
Hollings, a Democrat, refused to talk with The State newspaper in Columbia about the article on Tuesday, but his office released a letter the retiring senator sent a constituent as a statement.
Hollings wrote that he could provide quotes from Jewish leaders in the United States and Israel to support his position. Hollings says characterizations of his comments as "anti-Jewish" are ridiculous.
Hollings column appeared in three South Carolina newspapers earlier this month.
Abraham Foxman, president of the Anti-Defamation League, asked Hollings to retract his comments.

C'mon, you knew that Hollings' dishwater-mild press release....which featured nothing Europeans can't read in their daily papers seven days a week....was gonna lure Abie out of his rat hole in full Retraction-Demanding mode.
All that is required for this parasite to dwindle away to the flea-dung he is is for the American press to ignore him. But if the American press corps all chipped in they couldn't pool an ounce of integrity together, otherwise "Foxman" and "ADL" would routinely draw the contemptuous rhetoric that "ACLU" has been getting from conservatives for years now. What strikes me as odd is why Jews themselves have not cut Abie loose: they can't NOT know by now that Foxman's public persona is yielding progressively diminishing returns.

Foxman is the stereotypical, arrogant jew. His ubiquitous presence in the media is a great asset to us -- he puts a face on the Traditional Enemy.

ROFL...Drudge had this story up earlier today and now it's off his site. Guess it wasn't what his handlers wanted to see.

A simple test to see if something is true is if society is willing to debate it. Anyone is willind to debate to defend anything they believe is true. Why no debate on race and IQ? Because we all know blacks are congenitally less intelligent. Why no debate on if the Iraq war was for Israel? Because we all know it is. What always fascinates me is why are people so willing to be proud and "believe" things they know aren't true.
Incidently, we don't debate whether the sun is hot, not because we are unwilling to, but because there is no one to take the side the the sun is cold. The refusal to debate has to be an active choice.

Hollings gave a terrific (at least for the jew-owned Senate) speech today in which he defiantly refused to grovel to the imperious demands of the Hymen. He said that the Busharon strategy of fighting terror with even greater terror was a total failure, and that the only way to win was with diplomacy and the meeting of reasonable Muslim demands. And he delivered the coup de grace when he said he posed this question to an aide: "If people came and bulldozed your grandfather's house, wouldn't you want to cut their throats?".
He also said that the Old Dominion's "own" Senatorial fartbag George Allen made a speech comdemning him for - wait for it - anti-jewmatism, and that the bought fraud had the audacity to advise Hollings to "study history" before making "reckless accusations".
I hope the whore chokes on his faux-good-ol'-boy snuff.

Born in 1952, Allen like so many tough-talkers evaded Vietnam, but regards himself a fierce patriot. I must assume his football coach father felt the same. His campaigns have succeeded because much of the American public willing confuses masculinity with football.
Born in 1922, Hollings is the last of the Southern Democrats who fought in World War II and has a sense of duty and country. I regret he did not start flogging the Israeli lobby much sooner.

Damn shame.

A Senator speaking out about the IP, however mild he is phrasing it, is somewhat of a first, I think. "With Iraq no threat, why invade a sovereign country?" Hollings asked. "The answer: President Bush's policy to secure Israel. Led by Wolfowitz, Richard Perle and Charles Krauthammer, for years there has been a domino school of thought that the way to guarantee Israel's security is to spread democracy in the area." http://www.worldtribune.com/worldtribune/breaking_3.html Good news!
