...I recommend "Combat Mission" series, first one Beyound Overlord was great, and sequell Barbarossa to Berlin even better. In BtoB there is even finnish troops. All troops talk their real languages, there were real germans, russians, romanians, hungarians, italians and finns in recording the talks. Ai is really astounding, and there are equipment from PZII to Josif Stalin III. National characteristics are modelled rightly, for exemple finns are hard defenders, and good shooters, russians are poor in attack but they defend stubbornly, and they shoot bad. Even their 'Uraa!' humanwave attack is modelled, romanians and italians are poor soldiers and germans universally capable, they shoot quite well, attack quite well, defend quite well, but not suicidally.
I recommend everyone who has 3d capable computer to try them.

Yes, I do love strategy games, and yes, CM is a great series, highly realistic; though, technically speaking, itôs tactical rather than strategic.
Latest game I bought:

'History of the World'. Cleverly designed board game. Played it last Saturday with my two best friends. One of my friends hadnôt slept well and was in an overly aggressive mood, so he attacked everybody, George Bush-style, and forced my other friend to ally with me, ultimately helping me win.

...they are tactical games just like Steel Panthers series. Real strategy gmes are quite rare. From lighter types of them Strategic Command is my favorite, and old grigbys War in Russia is too. Pacific War was too heavy for my taste.
