COVERED WELLS, ARIZ. -- At the bottleneck of human smuggling here in the Sonoran Desert, illegal immigrants are dying in record numbers as they try to cross from Mexico into the United States in the wake of a Bush administration amnesty proposal that is being perceived by some migrants as a magnet to cross.
"The season of death," as Robert Bonner, the commissioner in charge of the Border Patrol, calls the hot months, has only just begun and already 61 people have died in the Arizona border region since last Oct. 1, according to the Mexican Interior Ministry -- triple the pace of the previous year.
The Border Patrol, which counts only bodies that it processes, says 43 people have died near the Arizona border since the start of its fiscal year on Oct. 1, more than in any other year in the same period.
Leon Stroud, a Border Patrol agent who is part of a squad that has the dual job of arresting illegal immigrants and trying to save their lives, said he saw 34 bodies in the last year. In Border Patrol parlance, a dead car and a dead migrant are the same thing -- a "10-7" -- but Stroud said he had never gotten used to the loss of life.
"The hardest thing was, I sat with this 15-year-old kid next to the body of his dad," said Stroud, a Texan who speaks fluent Spanish. "His dad had been a cook. He was too fat to be trying to cross this border. We built a fire and I tried to console him. It was tough."
If the pace keeps up, even with new initiatives to limit border crossings by using unmanned drones and helicopters in the air and beefed-up patrols on the ground, this will be the deadliest year ever to cross the nation's busiest smuggling corridor. The 154 deaths in the Border Patrol's Tucson and Yuma sectors last year set a record.
"This is unprecedented," said the Rev. John Fife, a Presbyterian minister in Tucson who is active in border humanitarian efforts. "Ten years ago there were almost no deaths on the southern Arizona border. What they've done is created this gantlet of death. It's Darwinian -- only the strongest survive."
Inhospitable
For years, deaths of people trying to cross the border usually occurred at night on highways near urban areas, killed by cars. But now, because urban entries in such places as San Diego and El Paso have been nearly sealed by fences, technology and agents, illegal immigrants have been forced to try to cross in southern Arizona, one of the most inhospitable places on Earth.
They die from the sun, baking on the prickled floor of the Sonoran Desert, where ground temperatures reach 130 degrees before the first day of summer. They die freezing, higher up in the cold rocks of the Baboquivari Mountains on moonless nights. They die from bandits who prey on them, in cars that break down on them and from hearts that give out on them.
The mountainous Sonoran Desert, between Yuma in the west and Nogales in the east, is the top smuggling entry point along the entire 1,951 miles where the United States adjoins Mexico, the Border Patrol says. Through the end of April, the number of crossers who were caught in the desert south of Tucson had jumped 60 percent over the previous year. Nearly 300,000 people were caught trying to enter the United States through the desert border since last Oct. 1.
After a four-year drop, apprehensions along the entire southern border, which the Border Patrol uses to measure human smuggling, are up 30 percent over last year, with 660,390 people detained from Oct. 1 through the end of April, federal officials said.
The crossing at Covered Wells, over a simple barbed-wire fence, is followed by a walk of two or three days, up to 50 miles on ancient trails through a desert wilderness, to reach the nearest road, on the Tohono O'odham Nation Indian Reservation, a wedge of desert the size of Connecticut that is overrun with illegal immigrants, or on adjacent federal park or wildlife land. Most people start off with no more than 2 gallons of water, weighing almost 17 pounds, in plastic jugs. In recent days, with daytime temperatures over 100 degrees in the desert, a person needed a gallon of water just to survive walking 5 miles.
The desert is littered with garbage -- empty plastic jugs, discarded clothes, toilet paper.
'I will try again'
"My feet hurt, and I'm thirsty, but I will try again after a rest," said Edmundo Saenz Garcia, 28, who was apprehended on the reservation one morning near the end of his journey. His toes were swollen to the size of boiled hot dogs and blistered. He walked in cowboy boots. After being fingerprinted for security, he will be sent back to Mexico, agents said.
Garcia said he had heard that the new Bush immigration plan, which would grant work visas to millions of illegal immigrants inside the United States and to others who can prove they have jobs, was "amnesty," and he wondered why he was arrested. He said he would try to cross again in a few days.
"It's like catch-and-release fishing," Stroud, the Border Patrol agent, said with a shrug after helping Garcia with his blisters. "One week, I arrested the same guy three times. If I dwell on it, it can be frustrating."
Agents and groups opposed to open borders say the spike in crossings and deaths is the fault of the Bush proposal, which is stalled in Congress and unlikely to be acted on this year. But it has created a stir in Mexico, they say.
"They've dangled this carrot, and as a result apprehensions in Arizona are just spiking beyond belief," said T.J. Bonner, president of the National Border Patrol Council, which represents about 9,000 agents. "The average field agent is just mystified by the administration's throwing in the towel on this."
T.J. Bonner, who is not related to the border commissioner, said the people were crossing in huge numbers, even at the high risk of dying in the desert, because "they're trying to get in line for the big lottery we've offered them."
With an estimated 8 million to 12 million immigrants in this country illegally -- and only a handful of prosecutions of employers who hire them -- the southern border is more broken now than at any time in recent history, said Mark Krikorian, executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies, a research group opposed to increased immigration.
"We've created an incentive to take foolish risks," Krikorian said. "In effect, we're saying if you run this gantlet and can get over here, you're home free."

There is a Mexican Restaurant, in a 97% white town, with the name Aztlan. I ask white men working near by did they know what Aztlan means, they said no...I told them, and it was like it did not register. Once again, schools, media, and govt. whores, are part of the treason. There have been some Restaurants that have been like way stations for moving dope and I say most in especially helping of illegal invaders through the N.W. now for at least last couple of decades.. There was big dope bust at one of the bean holes in Medford Oregon in the past, the story was in the newspaper.

California's prop 187 was passed by 60% of the CA. voters in 1995, because of those very Am-nasty's,and was squashed by the then bi-Gov., and one judge, back in 1997?. Am-Nasty was treason.. I remember reading that when Clinton was going for re-election that Gore was in CA. pressing for the I.N.S. to give citizenship to as many possible as fast as could be done, in high school and college gyms. Regardless of whether they answered with the correct replys to the citizenship test they were to make sure they got citizenship. There were many felons who were even given citizenship at that time too, and was written about extensively.. Itz a nightmare of treason.... Of course Canada is just as bad.

Butler? when writing here it is easy to say that the restaurant Aztlan is muving dope and invaders ,,,,,,, Money talks and bullshit walks, show me some evidence or take a walk.
Many Mexicans save for years and years in order to be able to better their life by owning something of their own, if what you say is true then the law would have closed them down years ago.
I came from Cuba fifty years ago with a guitar on my shoulder and ten bucks in my pocket and I have done very well for myself, as a matter of fact you problaby have either seen or bought my product.

My reference to the Atzlan restuarant is about and meant to be about the Aztlan the name only. What an interesting name too. To make it clear the dope bust was not that restaurant but one in Medford that I can not recall the name a while back. The story was in the Medford Mail Tribune . Yes, we are being invaded now for long time now. Treason is just that.

To Butler,,,,,,,, Well guy, why would I want to fight against Castro when I was one of those who put him in power in 59? I was with him for seven months in 58 at the age of 18 and it was an honor to fight for him , the same way that is was an honor to fight for the American flag in 63.
One thing that I do admire about Commandante Castro is that he is the only dictator in the world that has told the USA to go to hell, and really meant it.
By the way, my mother was an American from Atlanta Georgia and she was for 2.5 years in a Cuban prison for counter revolutionary activities,,,,,, and you know what? I don't blame Commandante Castro for putting her in prison BUT I DO BLAME THE USA for allowing her to spend all that time in prison, at the time I was station at Ft. Richardson in Alaska.
That's one thing that I do admire of the Jews, they would had never allowed her to spend one week in prison much less 2.5 years. At the time of the raid on Antebee I was in Rhodesia and I was listening to the news while out on the field.
By the way, less than 2% of Cuban in Miami were on welfare prior to 1980, that was when Commandante Castro allowed the real garbage from Cuba come into this country. Many Cubans, like myself, started our own company's in this country and did very well in doing so.
As far as "the whites in the USA", you better learn more about your own history and admit that 95% of Americans are not whites. As a matter of fact I don't think that you know what makes an Anglo white, by the way that you sound I would say that you are not white and possibly a Jew,,,,,,,,

Ponce, I realize that there are many who are non-white, of mixed race or less than 100% white that share our battle against the Master Race....the Jews.
Being part (something other than white) does not change the facts about multiculturalism. Jews promote it for a reason.
When I was in Jr high school I had a friend that was Cuban. He had blond hair and blue eyes. Your comments indicate this is not the case with you.
Racial purity serves a function, it allows members of an ethnic group to unite against any who might oppose them and do so with a higher probablity of loyalty and a lower probability of infiltration. Simple as that. Now you understand why the Jews promote race-mixing and third world immigration.
The Jews remember what powerful empires existed in Greece and Rome and how vulnerable to their infiltration they became when they started intermarrying with the conquered. Rome nor Greece will ever rise again precisely because of the infiltration factor.
I'm less than 100% white, have brown hair and eyes, and a round skull. This does not prevent me from realizing that we can't afford to rally behind anyone that doesn't have very aryan features......for in all probablity they will turn out to be infiltrators. If you see a flaw in my logic, please refute it.
The best racial policy to resist the Jews is what I call the big tent-little tent policy. We should include as many gentiles as possible in the fight against Jewish supremacy yet avoid intermarriage with other races as a means of protecting ourselves from infiltration and at the same time protecting our racial identity.

My fathers dad was pure castilian from Spain and from my mother's side Irish.
But so what? I am stil a Cuban Spanish and closer to the latin people than to the so called proud anglo saxons.

You have not replied to my assertions of the strategic value (to Jews) of promoting race mixing nor to the strategic value (to us) in opposing it. Perhaps you half read my post.
I agree that many of the Mexicans hate the Jews, I have visited the Aztlan site. I doubt however, that the Mexicans have the intellect and resolve to resist infiltration and control by the Jews and realize that the Jews can easily blend in with the "Latins". This is why they want Whites to intermarry with them.
If you have done your homework you know that Jews are the ones who promoted all the liberal immigration laws in the Western nations and that they exercise the power of suggestion with their media/Hollywood/ advertising empire to promote race mixing. This is part of a long term stratified genocide plan and Mexican immigration is part of it. There certainly is a reason that a country that has the resources to invade Iraq and send billions to Israel does not bother to seal off it's borders.
If you look at who is making this opportunity possible for the Mexicans you will have to conclude it's the Jews.
I don't understand your sense of identity. Spaniards have little resemblance to the Mexicans coming across our border. "Latin" is a rather vague and misused term. Southern Europeans are basically the same stock as Northern Europeans, but with a dash of Arabic blood in many cases. Although Spaniards planted their seeds profusedly amongst the natives of what is now called Mexico, Most of the Mexicans coming across the border have very damn little European blood. They resemble Polynesians more than anything else with their short necks, arms and legs, flat asian faces and hairless bodies.
If not for our long aquaintance at the GIM forum, I might have doubted your sincerity here, but since I know you are on the right side of the battle, I have to conclude that you are a little misinformed about racial issues.

I live in Aztlan, so I think I can fire off a few general observations.
The politicos generally don't mind the low IQ mestizos from Mexico and points South, as a group, they are poltically apathetic. Not that Whites are all that active - but Whites look like political dynamos when compared to beandogs. Look at the voting records and percentages and such in areas where the greasers predominate, like Huntington Park (97% beandog) just outside Los Angeles. Voter turnout is miserable. Sure, voter roles and ballots are padded, there's no honesty anywhere, but they are overall, as a group, apathetic. Even PC Steve Sailer at Vdare has noted the political apathy of Mexicans, etc. With mestizos, it's always "later" to get things done.
This political apathy means they can be more easily managed in some ways - this goes for their political "leaders" also. Couple the apathy with their general satisfaction in having lowbrow jobs supplemented with White taxpayer funded social services, and you have what some elites wanted the blacks to be. Trouble was, they couldn't get a day's work out of most blacks once welfare became King.
Of course, Hyman and crew also enjoy seeing them around, because they feel it lessens the threat, lessens the presence of the hated White man. Nothing makes jews, or in fact most non-Whites, more nervous than organized Whites. Nothing. The problem is, the influx of mestizo savages, and their increasingly animalistic behavior is going to force Whites to become organized. I don't mean overnight. I don't mean in one area. As the beandogs are dumped around the country, most Whites are going to end up in the same boat. There will come a time when there is nowhere that Whites can go without having non-Whites, mestizo or otherwise, around them. The Whites move around CA, but still run into the beandogs when they take their kids to Magic Mountain. Or to the local park, trying to have a birthday party. And there are the Mexicans, 3 ft. tall, IQ just as low, telling their kids en Espanol to crash the party, to get free food, to steal. Oh, this happens. I have seen two fairly large fights break out because of this. Good thing the police were nearby both times.
Hyman doesn't realize the apathy extends toward him. The mestizos don't care about the holyhoax. Many view it as a tale of cowardice, people being marched off to be gassed and all without trying to fight ... :). Others in the mestizo ranks see them as Christ killers that they have to put up with, for now.
The problems with the mestizos and most non-Whites, down the line, are not going to be on the political playing field. Not when it counts. Let the useless, cowardly, unwilling to fight Whites serve as fodder when the whole mess boils over. Sounds cruel, but they will be a good example for everyone else. There won't ever be a real "Aztlan". The latinos have proven time and again they cannot manage a neighborhood or political movement, never mind a country. Anywhere. A few sharpies here and there do not make up for millions of easily confused atavistic mouthbreathers looking to snatch purses or commit a drive by after they've finished their shift at El Pollo Loco.
In the end there will be a fight. But it won't be for as long as a lot of people think it will be.

I don't see how anyone can argue that the jews are not initially responsible for the Mexican influx, and that they continue to encourage it.
Jews authored the Immigration Act of 1965. Ted Kennedy took his 30 pieces of silver and co-sponsored it, along with others who took their bribes and rode it out. Since then, Mexico has been the largest source of LEGAL immigrants. To this day, they are also the largest source of illegal beandippers as well. It is jewish lawyers, like Peter Schey, among many others from his tribe, who are the leaders in the courtroom battles that seek to circumvent US laws and allow the beandogs not only to cross, but to stay in the US. The influx of cheap labor turned out to be a boondoggle for some industries, and they jumped on the bandwagon in earnest back in the early 80's. Sticking up for the mestizo savages by claiming they are here for the "American Dream" is disingenuous. Most people come here for the dream. We don't have to take them.
In any case, the immigrants, legal or not are helping to destroy the dream. Despite all claims to the contrary, immigrants of all stripes are now more likely to use and abuse social services among other things they do in greater number than White Americans.
The mestizos destroy any area in which they live with the same fervor and efficiency as blacks. Period. The mestizo crammed areas of Los Angeles are as filthy, run-down and crime ridden as the black areas. 95% of all murder warrants that are current with the LAPD are for ILLEGAL ALIEN "LATINOS". It is just as bad in other areas of crime. These people add nothing but trouble to the mix in the US. Nothing. They lower wages when they do work - and still collect social services while working. The illegal pendejas cross the border, squat, fart out a cub - who is now a US "Citizen" - and collect a welfare check, WIC, foodstamps, etc. in the kid's name. Because the gangbanger in training is a citizen. Supposedly a citizen. The mestizos are destroyers. Just like blacks. Hyman is a destroyer, but on a completely different level.
Since mestizos are doing even worse than blacks in school here in CA and around the US, the "more education" argument is moot. You cannot educate the ineducable. Overall, they don't have the grey matter. Just thick skulls and crabby dispositions, coupled with a feeling of entitlement taught to them by Hyman and his cronies.
