An appeal to Southern men for Southern solidarity
[QUOTE]Dear fellow Southerner man,
You may never have heard, or it may have just slipped your mind, but you belong to something great. You are a vital part of the Southern people. We are a vast people, numbering in the tens of millions, born to a noble pedigree, possessed of a glorious past, witnessing a present re-emergence, and, I'm convinced, destined to a still more glorious future.
You see, between the years 1725 and 1775, nearly 250,000 Scotch-Irish immigrants came to the shores of the Carolinas. And a little earlier, 40,000 Cavaliers had landed in Virginia. Virtually all Southerners can trace their lineage back to these two groups of people. And you are a part of it all. You are not alone.
No other people in the United States holds a familial tie to so many others in America. There are nearly 40 million of us today. We need to work together. We need to frequent each other's businesses. We need to promote our own interests as no one else will look after us, and, indeed, other groups are promoting their own interests at our expense.
You need to see yourself, not as a rootless individual, but as part of one of the great peoples of the earth, who, though down right now, are certainly not out.
Now today, we as a people have some problems, and you have probably experienced some of them. Many businesses, acting under the mandate of the federal government, give preferential treatment in hiring and promotions to blacks and other minorities, leaving us as second-class citizens in our own land. And while these minorities are paid the same wages and salaries as we are, their work is obviously not as good. And we are expected to pick up the slack with no reward for our extra service.
Many universities are required to give blacks and other minorities preferential treatment in both admissions and expectations once admitted. Besides this, many blacks especially, go out of their way to insult us, terrorize us, and perform other acts to make sure we both know and acknowledge that they are the elite, privileged class.
Most churches have turned against us. And many preachers carry on incessantly about our newfound duty to promote black interests at the expense of ourselves, our families, our people, and our way of life.
The courts have turned a deaf ear to our pleas for justice, instead coddling the black criminal and giving him chance after chance to practice his trade in violence and theft. Many blacks serving on juries exult in the chance to "Stick it to Whitey" when some black criminal has terrorized one or more Southerner.
The media speaks about these injustices as though they were wonderful, telling us that our society has now entered into a more moral and righteous dispensation. To hear them tell it, the signing of the Civil Rights Act was the beginning of a new world order in which all injustice and oppression would end and the dawn of true culture and civilization would begin. And the only true criminals left in America, to hear them tell it, are those who oppose the handover of our society and possessions to the minorities.
But we know better. We've seen life around us deteriorate dramatically since the 1960s, until vast portions of this land are hardly recognizable as the land our forefathers built for us.
Besides these external problems, which are caused mostly by those around us, we have some internal problems that need work as well.
The first of these is our ingratitude. Our forefathers built for us the most glorious civilization known to world history. We show ourselves as ingrates by not fighting to defend it, by allowing others to march in and take it away from us without a struggle.
The second internal problem is our godlessness. Thirty years ago, virtually every church in the South would agree with what I'm saying here. This is the old-time religion which filled the hearts and minds of Southerners for several generations. Our people have turned away from it to their own peril. False doctrines, phony religion, cheap and tacky religion, atheism, and other errors now fill the South.
This has led to the destruction of Christian morals among our people. You may suffer from this yourself. Adultery, abortion, divorce, taking God's name in vain or in a profane method, drunkenness, selfishness, dishonesty, and many other sins now run rampant among our people.
After the Civil War ended and we had lost the right to control both our internal and external affairs, Major Robert L. Dabney, the greatest theologian in American history and the chief of staff to General "Stonewall" Jackson, realized the terrible fate that awaited the South, which then had no army to prevent it. He addressed a group of young Southerners at the commencement exercises at Hampden-Sydney College in June 1882. He began by giving them the perspective of the men with whom he fought:
It is the duty of the loyal son not to believe the disease of his venerable mother mortal, so long as hope is possible; not to cease the efforts of his love and not to surrender her to death while love and tenderness can contest the prize. We had received this free government from our fathers, baptized in their blood; we had received from them the sacred injunction to preserve it. We had witnessed its beneficent results. Changes had silently taken place, which rendered our father's system too good for those who were to execute it; and yet it would have been treason to truth and right for us to despair of the better possibility, until the impossibility stood sternly revealed. Thus the task which duty and Providence assigned us was, to demonstrate by our own defeat, after intensest struggle, the unfitness of the age for that blessing we would fain have preserved for them.
After this, Dabney characterized for these graduating students the nature of the new dispensation. It's one you'll recognize as still true today:
Our fathers valued liberty, but the liberty for which they contended was each person's privilege to do those things and those only to which God's law and Providence gave him a moral right. The liberty of nature which your modern asserts is absolute license; the privilege of doing whatever a corrupt will craves, except as this license is curbed by a voluntary `social contract.'
Dabney's final point that day concerned the duty of the Southerner in the New South. And these words are especially relevant to you and your life:
But the principles of truth and righteousness are as eternal as their divine legislator. These must be upheld under all dynasties and forms. Here, in one word, is the safe pole-star for the New South; let them adopt the scriptural politics, assured that they will ever be as true and just under any new regime as under the one that has passed away.
The noble blood of great men and women courses through our veins today. We do them a great dishonor by living the way we as a people live today!
There are those who despise us, who wish to stamp us out, or worse still, to use us as a milk cow so they can live lives of ease. There are those who believe us to be evil, and demand we repent at the alter of the damned while they sup at the table of the blessed. There are those who fear us, and so continually try to strip away all reminders of what we once were.
But we are still here, still living in our land, the land of our forefathers, more numerous than ever and though tyrannized, abused, and dispirited, poised to renounce our oppressors and reclaim what is rightfully ours.
For nearly 200 years, from George Washington to George Wallace, our people acted with a singleness of purpose. Even though defeated in a great war in 1865, we stood as one people to the outside world, defending our lives, land, homes, and inalienable rights with remarkable solidarity. But since our defeat in the Civil Rights War of 1965, we have been betrayed by many of our natural leaders in government, in the church, in business, and in the university.
Many of our own state and local governments have passed laws that unnaturally grant social and political supremacy to non-Southerners living in our midst. Many Southern ministers have twisted the Bible and turned from the historic Christian religion to press upon us the 'moral' duty that we must not resist the new social order but must slavishly accept it and work to advance it. Many of our own businessmen have turned their businesses into multicultural experiments in which non-Southerners are hired before we are simply to appease the hostile mob in Washington. And virtually all of our universities have instituted policies which make us second-class citizens in our own land, rewrite history to make our ancestors look like evil lunatics, and instruct us in ways we can work to achieve the goals or our worst enemies.
This paper has two purposes: (1) to press upon you the fact that you are not a solitary individual wondering aimlessly through the maze of life but are part and parcel of a vibrant people. (2) to define for you what a true Southerner is.
Just these two ideas will instill enthusiasm and vibrancy into your life. You are not just a cog in a wheel, but are a necessary part of a living organism, the Southern people. You are not alone; there are plenty of us who share your struggle, your ideals, and desire to see you live a life of peace, security, and justice.
Four Questions
(1) Does the government in Washington provide you with any great benefit or is it your oppressor through excessively high taxes, affirmative-action programs, and a virtually unrestrained immigration policy?
The federal government collects nearly $1.5 trillion in taxes each year. How is this money used to benefit you? In truth it isn't, it's used to buy the loyalty and the votes of its favored constituents. And the Southerner isn't one of them.
What do affirmative-action programs do for you? Ostensibly, they purge you from guilt by correcting "evil acts" committed by your grandfather and grandmother. Is that what you need? Is this truly the purpose of your elected, representative government?
Since 1965, the immigration law has restricted the flow of western Europeans into this country and opened the floodgates to third-world immigrants from Asia, Central America, the Middle East, and Africa. This has resulted in a enormous shift in the ethnic make-up of this country and our society as tens of millions of people have entered this country with no connection to us or our past. We are truly on the way to becoming aliens in our own land.
(2) On the whole, have the vast millions of immigrants from Asia, Central America, the Middle East, and Africa improved our lives or worsened them?
When a million Africans come into this country and are granted the political franchise, they have the effect of making us that much more like Africa. When a million Vietnamese enter here and become part of this society, they have the effect of making us that much more like Vietnam. When a million Mexicans enter this country and become part of it, they make the country that much more like Mexico.
Africans can't buiild Americas, they can only build Africas. Vietnamese can't build Americas, they can only build Vietnams. And Mexicans can't build Americas, they can only build Mexicos. So the present immigration policy assures us of a third-world future unless there is some great change in direction.
(3) Has the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act improved life in America and the South, or has it impaired it?
Prior to the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act, America and the South were places of high morals and low crime rates. Since these two vile laws were enacted, this situation has been reversed and we are now places of low morals and high crime rates. It is the duty of government to protect its citizens from crime -- murder, rape, and theft. Instead, the present government winks at these events and concerns itself with protecting the minorities from us. We are considered guilty of racism, discrimination, bigotry, and so for that the government turns a blind eye toward real crime and carries on a tyrannical campaign against these imaginary crimes.
This state of affairs can be traced directly to the passage of the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act -- both originally passed in 1965.
(4) Why is it acceptable for blacks to hold their own cultural events such as the Miss Black America pageant and to have exclusively black institutions while any attempt on the part of whites to do the same would be met with howls of derision and ostracization?
The new order of abolitionist America must destroy the cultural solidarity of the European peoples within it. It remains a threat to the equalitarian order as we are naturally superior in intelligence and civilizing capacity which in turn leads to a superiority of economic ability and cultural and scientific accomplishment. For us to act as an exclusive unit shows the lie upon which the new society is based.
For us to hold exclusive cultural events or to possess exclusive institutions creates a climate where the great lie is too easily exposed to be allowed. So we are treated as second-class citizens in our own land. That's the long and the short of it.
Many have accepted our fate without so much as a whimper. This is a slave mentality. I don't possess it and neither do millions of Southerners. You do not need to possess it, either.
Conclusion
Now that you know you're not the only one who thinks like you do, I invite you to join a Southern Organization and institute fellowship with other like-minded Southerners. (I'll list four such organizations below.) The majority of our people, perhaps the great majority of them, share similar sentiments and beliefs to those you've just read. It's just that no one is speaking aloud about them for fear of retribution from our enemies.
We are disorganized and scattered like lost sheep across the countryside. But I am working on that. I'm organizing our people, getting us to think, act, and function as an irrepressible unit.
I would encourage you to study carefully the contents of The Dennis Wheeler Home Page and the links I've provided to other sites of interest. A bit old I'm guessing, before Dennis was thrown out of the League--but none of those would hold to a White, Christian Southern Nation, none...
