While John Kerry wastes no time blasting his opponent on just about everything, he might be indistinguishable from Bush on the Middle East:

http://www.spectator.co.uk/article.php?table=old&section=current&issue=2004-04-17&id=4487&searchText=kerry

And the Neo-cons have already started warming up to Kerry:

The old power game continues.

The only one worse than Bush would be Stalin. Bush and his Neo Con Cabal are a threat to world existence. Period. After Bush & Israel are done with their ways, there won't be anything left here to work with.

I think we should make that "Only Stalin would be worse than Bush AND Kerry". Kerry's positions are indistinguishable for all practical purposes from Bush's. Kerry is even worse on the side of aggression in foreign policy.

None of this is to to be taken as an endorsement of Bush or Kerry, by the way. This is merely a restatement of the well known fact that the one party state has become rotten to the core.

It certainly is funny how these two "polar opposites" who supposedly disagree vehemently on every issue under the sun, seem to strangely bow in the same direction when it comes to Israel.

Oy vey! Shocking and surprising, it's!

Kerry will be worse than Bush, but only because his succession places him, and us, further down the same road.

Kerry will be a worse President. The real question is: is it worse for Kerry to win the race?

No, because cleaning house in the GOP is more important than who occupies the White House for four years.

darkstar, I personally think that the belief that we can 'clean the GOP house' is unrealistic. That said, I think that another Bush term would be more useful in bringing this grudging reality home to many conservatives than a Kerry presidency would be. Of course the more time that passes the less difference it makes anyway. We'll be better off if Americans finally conclude that both parties have worked (semi-secretly) against them for at least a century.

Ruffin,

One can also look at it this way. Bush and his gang of neocon handlers created this damn mess. Let them deal with it and eat it. That said, for me it is simply a matter of not voting for either one of the two. I have too much respect for my vote than to whore it to s.o.b.s like Bush/Kerry.

It is not realistic to imagine that we will 'clean house.' It is only un-realistic to imagine that we will have a particularly clean house afterward. In other words--surely we could clean up a bit?

No, the Bush administration and its neocon allies needs a good hit on the nose. Thus we should pray that Kerry wins -- even as we vote for Russo.

If we believe that both are evil, then the stupid evil leader may be preferrable to the moderately intelligent evil leader. Team Evil making mistakes is good.

A point for Bush.
