Looking at the JBS website, no one is going to accuse them of being anti-Semitic. Their concern for the plight of the white man is undetectable. They're very pro-authority (cops, drug war, etc.).
A big issue for me is School Choice. I support vouchers because I see them as the best chance to turn America around. JBS appears to be against vouchers, as reflected in an article "Taking the Voucher Bait." We need to be thinking about liberating the 90% of children being brainwashed in the public schools rather than the 5% in conservative private schools who have conservative parents who and who will always be in relatively conservative private schools. And, for a private Christian school to be required (via the voucher) to provide a secular education to a former public school kid, I see that as an oppertunity, not a problem.
My first encounter with JBS, via a friend, was a few years ago and their dated anti-Communism made me think they were silly (I was young and somewhat apolitical, but still). For example, they still floated the idea that the fall of the USSR was a hoax to get the West to lower its guard.
On the other hand, they don't look as sodomite-friendly as neoconservatives tend to be. They admit Bush lied to America to get us into war with Iraq. They're against the UN and other effective surrenders of US sovereignty.

We've had some interesting discussion regarding the John Birch Society, and Bircher Todd Brendan Fahey knows a lot about them.
Hardcore WN's like Franco tend to be distrustful of them and their lack of an explicitely racial strategy. They usually relate to the things Revillo Oliver talked about when he left the JBS. I think though they are an Old Right organization with an uncompromising strategy that does make a lot of good points, and who's overall founding attitude has some potential. The internal politics of it seem complicated though and almost seem stymie a lot of people, even according to some Birchers and ex-Birchers themselves.

Personally, I wouldn't expend the energy to join or become active in the JBS, but their magazine, The New American is one of my favorite political journals. I believe Francis and Sobran used to contribute to it on occaison....wish they still did.

The JBS is a wonderful organization. They don't play party favorites which is why neoCONS and rah-rah Republicans hate them more than liberals do. I have subscribed off and on to the New American and visit their web site regularly. I also saw their leader, John McManus speak on the surrender of the American Canal at Panama a few years ago and sat three chairs to his left (geographically speaking) at a dinner after the event.
