It like a lot people have giving up on the Assault Web Bulletin Board. I gave up on it some time back.

It was my understanding, that the Confederate board was moved to the international area to give Southerner's a place to come and speak of southern issues, whether past or present. As in any free thinking message board, you will get all kinds of different banter. We aren't in a coffee shop, facing each other off, and it doesn't need to seem that way here now. People would post articles on issues that did effect the South, be it flying the flag issues, illegal immigration issues,and the migration of people other than Southerners to the South and changing voting patterns, and the culture. In fact most articles posted here were about Southern culture dying off because of a host of issues. I have been coming to this board for over three years, both as a lurker and as participant. My posting count is pretty low, but I do believe I have the respect of some of the old-timers who are still around.

I resent the fact that every post, every article that was presented here counts only as hate speech. That just isn't the case. If you could look back at the posts here, over a two year period, you would see that even among the regulars, there was spirited debate about what constituted legitimate debate and what was found to be "Hate Speech" alot of that revolved around instances where someone would just appear, tells us we were racists, then never return to actually debate their own post. Not very sporting!

It is hard, to have a message board, where freedom of expresion is absolute.

I also respect the owners and administrators, as well as the moderators of assualt web. Since this is not a community owned board, if the Admin wants to change something, whether I agree or not, that is their business. I do not believe it is my place to complain, or otherwise post in a way that is self serving, when I am not a moderator or Administrator. I respect their decision, and if I want to still post on Assualt Web, I am goijg to keep my mouth shut.

But... I do resent the fact that there is one individual, who is neither a moderator or administrator, who is passing off all of the past postings, and all of the people who used to post here, as "hate speech". I resent it because I have posted here, in the past and now the present as well. Also, it seems that that particular individual is also telling people what can be posted and what can not, based on his definition of "hate speech" as someone with mor etime on this board than he, I really find that a bit unnerving.

We should not be wasting bandwidth complaining about nothing going on here. If you ain't got a post thats more uplifting than "this board is dead" why post it? I guess I just miss the old days, when you could talk about sword belts, and modern Southern politics.

anywho, I am done, this will either be a thread killer, or y'all will rip me to shreds.

It would appear that we have a disagreement on the subject of confederation. It is a living thing, a present option, and not an historical static.

For others, it is a "was", and heritage is past. It is thing made up of hoop skirts, mint julips and reenactors drillin' on the green...whether or not they are "permitted" to display their reconstructed colors by the professionally offended.

I'm wondering where "hate", today's most damaging shibboleth, was displayed. In truth, we have many problems across the South, many of which reside in the black community, which merit honest discussion. Would a good man allow his neighbor's house to burn down? So to, would a good man stand by and watch a community rot in places without offering a hand? If not, discussion on the best courses of action are necessary for the man offering help to be both good and wise.

There's plenty of bandwidth for the discussion of swordbelts and Sunday dinners, and I'd hope that there'd also be room for those who claim a Southern heritage to discuss what the South's become since General Forrest's men galloped across it. We should use the past, as we should use Scripture. Use isn't "used", meaning that action is over.

I think that the occasional "this forum is dead" is a sign that better things, evident in the past, are expected. There's work to be done.

I'll again take this as if you are talking to me.... I'm not sure what Confederate Forum you are reading from, but not once have I stopped anyone from posting on this Forum. The Confederate of America was not of hate....is all I have ever said. I voice my opinion as well as you do is all. Plus, the Rules on AW do not allow racist remakers... right?

Sometimes people get tired of hearing the same song and dance, same crying, and the same doom and gloom. It time I "Think" to have fun with our heritage. And it looks like the Admin. and the Mods.put their foot down. Some people like the new way the Confederate forum is going....and some people don't like it and has stop posting. The chips are on the table. Are you in or out? I'm in, in it for the long haul on teaching the truth and having fun about the Confederacy history. I hope you are in as well.

One more thing.....Isn't opinions great?

This IRONCLAD guy seems to be the marxist running the CSA Forum. War Ensemble was running in the past, he seemed pretty good. I note one of the Moderators attacked him and talked of banning him too. If most gun nuts are like the people running this forum; America is doomed!

IRONCLAD, I am not a person of Hate....I am, however, a person of dislike...and I believe the Confederacy disliked the fact that the Yankees refused to let them leave the union and live under their own rule. I believe the southern people disliked the fact that their homes were being burned to the ground and their people terrorized. I dislike the fact that so many members of my family died for the confederacy. I realize all this happend over 125 years ago, but I still dislike it.... Oh, and one more thing I forgot to mention.....From reading all your posts I believe I dislike you...

And about disliking me, that's fine, you can have your opinion. I know I'll have people who won't like me, and I'm fine with it. I do have thick skin. But, when people think alike, we shouldn't dislike one another. Sometimes typing on an open forum, peoples words come off a little strong or a little weak in some cases. It's always better to talk in person, this way you can't miss the tone of the voice on how it's put out to each other. If you know what I mean.

The CSA forum was becoming a haven for closet racists who forgot to keep the door closed.

It was also a pissing post for people who were not doing Southern heritage a favor by being a bunch of whining old ladies.

It had to be cleaned up.

Is it dead? Only because the good southrons haven't found it yet. Most of them, I suspect, don't go online to complain about things. Every one I meet seem to have better things to do with their lives.

Do I have to spell out the mission of this forum? I would have in the past, but I know that there are certain individuals, practicing the same victimism of the left, looking for something to be offended at or feel like a victim over, lurking about waiting to strike.

I volunteered to spare this forum from oblivion because I have a value for Southern culture that most people can't see beyond their own stupidity.

Imagine that, a damned yankee saving a Southern heritage forum from all those "more southron than thou" types. And this comes from being educated. I guess that makes me a little more logical than the closet racists and those who blame their foibles on the CSA losing the war. And their prattling is just as irritating and pointless as those blacks who cry for reparations.

This thread is now locked and the next person to start trouble will become my next hobby.

A lot of the admins, members, or owner are freepers (that's the problem over there). If you post an unapproved link to advertise another board, that bunch over there will delete it asap. Although, those hypocrites posted AW links all over the web when they got started, and few removed those links.

No offense to any mature youngsters here, but that board seems to be run by a bunch of kids. Their accounts of real life sound like they're guessing at what sounds both "cool/tough" and believeable, instead of drawing from real experiences of being on their own. Most of the time they overshoot and post pure fantasy. That's about all the mention that board is worth.

Well as the title of the thread said-"This Forum is Dead," the AW: CSA forum is pretty dead, almost no one posts to it anymore. Four members that I know of from the AW: CSA forum are already members of the forum. I also posted on it in the past and I think other members of this forum have been members in the past. As I recall the pinko members got upset when pluged the Sam Francis Forum and the CofCC site. Sad to see AW go the way of FR.

Yes they are pretty silly, the Web(WWW) is made of links, that's why it's called a "web."

The deleted thread on AW that upset me the most was one about cops breaking gun laws. I do not remember the first story at the start of the thread, but my post was about a group of cop in the city where I live who ordered some Styer AUGs on P.D. letterhead and them sold them on the black market. Talk about stupid; their names were on the order forums and in the P.D. records! Some looked over the books and they were in deep... Also I told a story about a cop who left an SMG in his car overnight and it was stolen. But it was deletes as being "cop bashing. I don't remember the over posts but they were all the same type of stories. Sick , just sick.
