If American apparel workers earn $10 for making 10 shirts, their pay starts to come under pressure only when a Mexican worker can churn out the same quality shirts for less than $1 each. That has happened with apparel, so the U.S. has lost many clothes-making jobs.

I'll admit that I'm rather ignorant when it comes to the finer points of economics. However, if the above statement is an accurate representation of labor costs for the making of a shirt, then even if someone in another country worked for nothing, the out sourcing company would only save $1 dollar of the costs of making one shirt. I don't know about y'all, but I would gladly pay a buck extra if it meant someone here in Amerika had the means to take care of himself and his family. Hell, I would even pay $2 dollars more if it meant that person would have his pay doubled.

All this tells me is that Corporate America is not out sourcing because of the labor costs here at home, but it is, instead, a declaration of war on the middle and working class here in Amerika, and the white working class in particular.
