I am fine with either.
Aren't all Irish white? "American" is one of the few exceptions in that it's lost its ethnic/racial meaning.

If it ever even had any such meaning. Technically, anyone from Canada to Argentina and all points in-between can call themselves "American", which is unfortunate.

MSN will of course claim that it is referring to the Jewish religion, not the Jewish race.
However, I am sure they would be happy to have 'Black Singles.' I don't know what they would say then. They wouldn't say anything. Don't you know that whites are supposed to just die off?
Marketing for whites is too difficult. We seem to think that certain brands which are supposed to be up-market are in fact crass and vulgar. Blacks, Chicanos, even Asians--they all embrace the crassness of American Madison-Avenue culture more earnestly. With Blacks and Chicanos, the cause is probably the (average) lack of a cultural sophistication relative whites. With Asians, there is probably the fact of being tied to a comforting, less distorted Asian culture; as well as a certain naivete among some recent arrivals.
