This is my first post here. I seem to like this place, so far. Ive been lurking for a while. Im not sure there are any others like it. Paleocons are a rare breed these days indeed. You see them from time to time on other boards, but they usually are discounted as being an "antique" or not having "evolved" like the neocons have.
Its kinda sad to think what once was ...is now considered evil and what was evil is now called "good".

I can be down with that. Am (though living in upstate NY, orig. from West Texas) down with it. If we are up-front.
Do you accept American National Socialism as a working concept (please see previous reply) My personal basis is in One Cross/True Christ Christianity (explained elsewhere), agreeing with your perception of the exchange of good-and-evil ...if (but not only if) that refers to what is bandied about politically as between Frum v. Arafat -- not to insult Yassir; or, [B]opposed in political discourse as if pre-emptively determined by somebody else's off-shore "God"[/B] . I am saying that that discourse is evil, in the sense of non-objective.
I don't want to ensnare anyone who would reject the very categories of good-and-evil, in relating to what is happening in the religious cold war, into my own theological version, respecting all others who respect America. That is the only Ueber I can call upon for an Alles, at this point and level of organization, but it enough. OK? there are many sub-texts here.

My answer. Certainly not. Socialism is a product of the left, not the right, and never in history has it done anything but empower an elite few.

wasnt it karl marx that said something to the effect ..."the goal of socialisim is communissim"
