Something VERY odd here. I picked this up yesterday in the Australian, a major newspaper. I watched TV for it last night here in NJ. Not a word. Scanned todays US newspapers - NOTHING!
Is the following story a lie, or is our "free press" no longer telling us the truth?

Bin Laden's right-hand man slips net:
A BULLETPROOF LandCruiser at high speed bursting out of a tribal compound in Pakistan's South Waziristan region was just the latest infuriating setback in the US's quest to bring down the top of the al-Qa'ida tree.
The car, followed by two armoured vehicles and a phalanx of heavily armed militants able to wipe out dozens of crack troops sent to blast the terrorists from their nest, is believed to have contained Ayman al-Zawahiri, right-hand man to Osama bin Laden.
After mounting speculation that US and Pakistani forces ranged on either side of the Afghanistan-Pakistan border were about to pounce on al-Qa'ida's key planner, a senior Taliban spokesman yesterday made the claim Washington least wanted to hear - that both Zawahiri and bin Laden were safe in Afghanistan.
"He may have slipped the net," the official said.

This latest balderdash propagated by the media congloms reminds me of how we had the other number two cornered last year.. funny how they keep changing the names. There is no Al Quida. Osama bin Laden is not the leader of the Muslim world or its militant groups nor was he the mastermind behind 911. Look a little closer to home and look to the Mossad. This is the greatest lie ever told. Its funny how we have " enough " to bring this to the media, but they won't give the rest of the world's " opinions " any coverage. Because, after all, everything is presented by them to be an " opinion " when the absolute burden of proof is upon anyone who questions the Government line, while the Government itself doesn't have to present any truth at all, and is not subject to evaluation in any relevant and truth-focused manner. John Kohn ala Kerry has already publicly stated that he will never approve of any UN resolution which singles out Israel as a state that needs to be disciplined for breaking all accepted law internationally. Yet he " opposes " the war on the Iraqi people, because he's a prostitute and a communist luciferian. Number Two Al Quida .. humm. I cannot believe that anyone who has any historical knowledge or insight or connections to reality can even believe that such a person exists. " There will be wars and rumours of wars " Eliminate the CIA. Eliminate the FBI. Eliminate the IRS. According to bin Laden's taped "confession", "He" said the hijackers would not even be told their targets until they arrived at the terminals!
"We are being told that a tape has been found in which bin Ladin admits all. The entire argument that this video amounts to an admission of complicity is based on a segment in which bin Ladin, in an unquoted and not-literally-translated segment in which he makes reference to the WTC not coming down in a way one expects.
We do not know the tenses of the Arabic used -- did he mean the towers did not come down "as one would expect" or "as I would have expected" -- because Arabic tenses may not offer that choice -- it may merely say "as expected" -- which the American teams choose to interprest as "It did not come down the way I expected it would" -- a translation that would not stand up before any Arabic speaker.
Once this little distortion gets its nose under the tent, the spinners can build to suit:
If he "expected" the building to go down a certain way before, than that means he was thinking about it coming down, and the only reason he would have for thinking that it was coming down would be if he was engaged in planning for it to come down.
If bin Ladin had planned to crashbomb the world trade center towers he would not be thinking about how it would come down -- just hitting it would have met any terrorists objective.
And who has given the reporters this story? Unnamed government officials who themselves merely have been reported to have read transcript translations or been briefed on the content.
If the tape is not government creation and really was a film of the real bin Laden that someone let on his bed as he deserted his home in Jalalabad -- marked what? bin Laden confession??? -- amazing, to me that the Northern Alliance would just happen to find this tape.
Who would make such a tape? Why would it only include bin Ladin's remark about expectation of the manner of collapse and not -- since he is "letting his hair down with the audience -- any comment about motive or intention or the decision making process or anything of the many other things he would certainly want clarified for his followers if he was permitting a video for his followers who are in the know.
Instead just one oblique reference to his expectations -- hanging out in space -- with nothing else worthy of offering as "proof" or "evidence" in the entire 40 minutes of the tape? I do not suspect that the tape is a fake. I suspect that the tape is not an admission.
A new bit of phoney evidence was needed. But they don't have it. If they did they would show it? The al-Qa'eda, if it is there's certainly know what is in it. Certainly, if it was not intended to be seen by the west, it can't contain code for terrorists -- and why would al-Qa'eda want to convince the West of bin Laden's guilt ?
Notice, also, that this crucial tape was sent by our government to "outside experts" to confirm its authenticity. How come? Doesn't the government want the liability for a false claim of authenticity? Who did this test? Why can't we be told?
Does that mean that the FBI did not get to analyse it? It sure sounds that way, doesn't it?

He also says that while the 19 hijackers knew that they would be part of a "martyrdom" operation, most did not know the details until shortly before they boarded the airplanes.
"The brothers, who conducted the operation, all they
knew was that they have a martyrdom operation and
we asked each of them to go to America but they
didn't know anything about the operation, not even one
letter," bin Laden says. "But they were trained and we
did not reveal the operation to them until they are there
and just before they boarded the planes."
Hmmmm. Lessseee now - A bunch of suspicious looking foreigners with box cutters make it past security, board planes full of male passengers, whip out the boxcutters and slay everybody, get into the cockpits, kill the pilots, take control of B-747's (which took me 2 weeks of intensive training just to figure out how the hell I was going to fly the thing), figure out their positions, set a course for the WTC and Pentagon, let down without ripping the wings off, then make nice circular approaches into the buildings, without flinching. All this with practically no flight training. Geez, they must have been born naturals!
Where does Al Quaida get such men?

Weren't those planes 767's? Would that make a difference in their fly-by-wire capabilities?

Bin Laden was originally trained by the CIA. Makes you think doesnââ¬â¢t it. Which governments covertly sponsored the training these men?
