[The Methodists opened the door by ordaining women as ministers, now they have lesbian troubles. Why am I not surprised? I predict the United Methodists will eventually go the way of the Episcopals into total capitualation to the faggots.]

Rule of thumb: any church belonging to the National Council of Churches is usually infiltrated with homosexuals, lesbians, marxists, liberals, modernists, humanists and other sundry purveyors of apostasy.
It ain't just the United Methodist Church....everyone knows that the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Episcopalians, and the Presbyterian Church (USA) are apostates too.
So why is the Orthodox Church a member of the NCC? It seems in Eastern Europe the Orthodox are very conservative (razing sanctuaries used to "wed" queers, etc.) and membership in the NCC would be totally incompatible.

This is an issue of controversy within Orthodoxy. Many people are against this, but the leadership's excuse is typically that its better to be involved and to have input than to totally disengage. I think that's a pretty lame excuse, myself. I hear that in recent years Orthodox organizations have been distancing themselves from NCC and have become mostly inactive. They have threatened to sever all ties at least once. Both the NCC and WCC are totally subversive IMO. I wish the metropolitians would just sever all ties with these groups.
As far as homosexuality goes, its not an issue that I can see - the Church unambiguously condemns it. I haven't heard about any problems with homosexuals or homosexual abuse by the Orthodox clergy either. Once I heard about a monastary that had a problem, but that is about the extent of it.
