RAMALLAH, West Bank Wednesday February 25, 2004
Israeli forces burst into Palestinian banks on Wednesday, corralled employees, covered security cameras and seized at least $6.7 million in an unprecedented raid. Israel said Iran, Syria and Lebanese guerrillas sent the funds to Palestinian militants.
Palestinian officials said the raid violated banking agreements and could trigger a run on the banks. It's like the mafia,'' Prime Minister Ahmed Qureia said of the operation.I think it should be dealt with in a very serious way.''
Israel said it took $6.7 million to $8.9 million from the vaults of the three bank branches, and the money would be spent on humanitarian aid to Palestinians.
Former Justice Minister Yossi Beilin told Israel's Channel One television he doubted the government could prove the money it seized was earmarked for militant groups.
Yuval Steinitz, a lawmaker from the ruling Likud Party, said that did not matter. ``We are in a war against the Palestinians and the Palestinian Authority, it is not about proof,'' he said.

What a novel idea! Perhaps the US should send our military into Mexico, drain the banks and tell them the money will be spent on humanitarian aid to Mexicans as we see fit. Hell, why stop there...Canada is just a hop, skip and a jump away.

A few years ago, an American woman I know, who always seems to have an awesome awareness of the undercurrents in world affairs, referred to Israel as a gangster state.
I was shocked. (Kneejerk reaction.)
Since then, having paid more attention and done research of my own, I've reluctantly concluded that, yes, Zionism is much like an organised crime gang. In fact, the political leadership worldwide can be tarred with that brush.

Well flippant, like I keep saying,,,,,,, "When the truth comes into the light, the lies will hide in the dark"....... If the real movies were to be made about the Jews (Zionists) no one would even talk about "The Passion" for the truth is worse than fiction.
