These are excerpts from an article "Most Contentious Story Ever Told" by Don Lattin I found in a Sunday newspaper. I'll let the Spider write a comment :shocking:
Noami Seidman, the director of the Center for Jewish Studies at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, has not seen the movie and is not looking forward to it. But her worries have less to do with Gibson's treatment of the tral and crucifixion of the Christian savior and more to do with the original script -- the Bible.
"This movie is a representation of the New Testament, which is a nasty little document", Seidman says. "It's hard for Jews to read."
Professor Bill Countriman, who teaches the New Testament at the Church Divinity School of the Pasific in Berkeley, said scholarly understanindg of Jesus' death has shifed over the past 50 years.
"Only the Romans had the power to crucify people," Countriman said. "The death of Jesus was the result of a lot of dirty politics. Blaming the Jews is like blaming everyone in America for the actions of the government.
Others who have seen the film with the scene deleted say the movie still depicts a "malicious, mocking group of Jewish high priests." Seidman said filmmakers like Gibson cannot simply defend their portrayal by saying the account is faithful to the story as told in the Bible.
"You can't just reproduce the hateful athmosphere in which the Gospels were written," Siedman said. "You have to understand the polemics of the time. Angly people say nasty, hurtful things. The New Testament arises out of that environment."

Only those with the "power" can change history, the Bible, rules of the game, the US government and so on. Now we have "holydays" for those people who are conposed of only 2% of the US population, we have memorials to a "holocaust" that wasent commited in the usa, that was not done by US citizens,,,,, why? For how long shall we pay for what we didn't do? The Zionist lobby is supposed to be register as agents for a foreign state, or county. The Zionits are allowed free entrance into the White House and into the Pentagon,,,,,,,,, what is going on here? That wich you read and watch on the news is controlled by the Zionists,,,,,, if you want to read the real news you must read, on line, the news that are put out by foreing countries.

What was that you were saying, MR, about Christiaintiy not being up to the task at hand?
Seidman certainly confirms my central point that Christianity is virulently anti-Pharisee and is intensely hated by Pharisees.
Nothing can compare to the Gospel for pure Anti-Pharisaical spiritual power. Absolutely nothing. History proves the point again and again, as here affirmed by an official spokesman for the Sanhedrin itself. They fear the Gospel like a vampire fears a cross. You know why? Because they literally are vampires cringing before a cross! Simple as that.
Why do you resist that obvious fact?
You should listen to what our enemies say, MR, and take them at their word. They don't like that cross. It hurts them. Mel Gibson showed them the cross, and we've been treated to their melodious howls of agony.
Maybe what we need to do is to show them even more of the cross, hmmmm?
