The Mexican Revolution: A New Republican Party

There is a coup underway in the Bexar County Republican Party.

For much too long, the Patron System has dictated how San Siestaville is run. Even as conservatism surges across the state and nation and liberalism ebbs, San Antonio’s entrenched and calcified Republican guard seems to be comfortable with the archaic cunado system under which we all live.

Henry B Gonzales reportedly once said, “Old Democrats are good at producing young Republicans.” Today’s political climate strongly confirms that observation.

An exploited Hispanic student base increasingly rejects the “Liberal Plantation,” the perpetual left-wing influence to believe that Anglos are Mexican-haters and are somehow keeping the Hispanic population down. The liberal institution itself is the greatest roadblock to “minority” upward mobility.

In the history of South Texas, there has been ugly racism. Those days are fading. It is not all about class warfare.

We’re now living among generations of university educated Mexican-Americans. Liberal universities are so out of touch with the Hispanic community, that the current roster of students are not so easily fooled.

Though portrayed as such by academics, the majority of Mexican-Americans are not pro-La Raza, pro-gay, pro-choice extreme leftists. Most Mexican-Americans are conservative, pro-gun, pro-family, pro-small business, pro-military and pro-American. Many have fulfilled the American dream. Mexican-Americans overwhelmingly supprot legitimate enforcement of border laws.

There is an emerging generation of Mexican-Americans who realize that they don’t have to prop up Democrats just because their grandfathers did. Besides, that party doesn’t exist anymore. Today’s Democratic mockery has betrayed all freedom-loving Americans. As evidenced in California, voters didn’t favor Bustamante, and instead embraced the conservative Schwarzenegger.

The revolution is underway. An old-fashioned South Texas comeuppance is inevitable.

If 30% of the South Texas Hispanic voters will convert to a truly trustworthy Republican Party, the modern Democratic Party must undergo a massive reform or die. The extreme-liberal left does not represent the conservative Mexican-American population that has kept the Democrats in power throughout the American Southwest.

Democratic Party leaders should be exposed as the Socialists they really are. And Socialism is only a chip away from Communism. It is ironic that well after the implosion of the USSR, the residual of that longest of wars America ever fought has led to infiltration, mutation and commandeering of a modern Marxist national party power that blasphemously subdues itself under the term, “Democratic.” This condition is treasonous.

Like the Russian and Chinese Communist experiments, the Alamo City’s political structure has failed to be truly progressive, and legitimate, due to greed at the top.

The rich-white-guys’ fraternity that masquerades as the current Bexar County Republican Party is in its third decade of power. It is frequently described as a “small, private club,” with 5-10 people writing the dance card. These power brokers dictate party appointments and issue endorsements to toadies who serve their selfish interests, often without regard to political affiliation.

Even disgraced Democrat Henry Cisneros was a product of our Patron System. Now a pardoned felon of the Clinton legacy, Cisneros pays for his sins in luxury. The Fiesta Plaza Pink Pachyderm where UTSA downtown campus (yet another loser) now crumbles, the “Alamo Dome Dirt” disaster and similar brother-in-law deals are expensive examples of the rich-white-guy frat’s marionette dancing away with the loot. It took blatant violations of Federal Law exposed at the highest national level to convict Cisneros. Patron Clinton pardoned him. That’s how it works when you know where the bodies are buried, from Salado Creek—all the way up to the Hill. It all started right here.

It would be a stretch to claim that the Bexar County Republican Party maintains any significant Latino recruiting efforts. Party development, Hispanic outreach programs, and Precinct Chair development strategies are all necessary factors for a productive political machine, but they are ignored here in Bexar County.

With hundreds precincts in Bexar, there had been on the order of 375 Republican Precinct Chairs. That number has dwindled to around 150 registrations this year. This ratio is pathetic, considering that 2004 is a Presidential election year featuring a Republican incumbent.

People are not willing to put their necks on the line for an organization that doesn’t tolerate healthy competition and real diversity.

The Patron System lies kicking in the dirt, twitching its last. Today’s Cold War generation of freedom loving progressives are the revolutionaries standing over as it gasps. New Republicans. “Freedom” is the key word.
