I was banned from AssWeb in 2002 for speaking out against Israel. At least that's what I assume was the reason -- no one had the balls to actually tell me why I was banned. In fact, I was never even given a warning, even though I'd been a member of that site for quite a long time. When I emailed the webmaster and asked him to kindly explain why I'd been banned, he said he hadn't been aware that I'd been banned and that he was going to ask the moderators about it. Well, I never heard back from him.

I did not bash Jews per se while on that board, mind you -- I only did things like argue against dispensationalism and post links to websites owned by survivors of the USS Liberty attack. Still, there was a moderator there, "Buck", and his sidekick, some doofus named "Dr. Johnny Fever", who kept giving me crap whenever the Israel issue came up. They'd say that Jesus was going to curse me, I was gonna go to hell...you know, the usual garbage.

To those clowns over there, you are not really a Christian unless you support Israel. Although at this point my religious beliefs are largely uncertain/agnostic, back then I was fairly seriously into Catholicism. I didn't expect Protestants to believe in Catholicism, of course -- nothing wrong with that -- but I did find it pretty galling that those mental midgets at AssWeb would have the nerve to write off the largest and oldest Christian denomination in the world as not even being Christian. Anyway, if heaven is going to be full of self-righteous jackasses like those -- "I'm saved and yer not, nanny nanny boo boo!" -- then I don't want to go there anyway!

They summarily ban Israel-bashers at sites like FR and AssWeb simply because deep down they know we're right, and they don't want to be confronted with the facts. I suspect that many dispensationalists see modern Israel a kind of vindication of their faith in the Bible, and they don't want to lose that security blanket.

It appears they deleted the thread you started, Franco. But what do you expect from cowards? As far as I'm concerned, such action on their part is an outright admission that whatever they deleted is 100% truthful.

Here's a thread started by Buck: Why Should Christians Support Israel? http://www.assaultweb.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=11;t=001733

The place looks like a waste of time, though I did find a joke that's worth repeating:

Hindu Women With A Dot On Their Forehead

For centuries, Hindu women have worn a red spot on their foreheads. We have naively thought it had something to do with their religion. The true story has just been revealed by the Indian Embassy in Washington.

When one of these women gets married, on her wedding night, the husband scratches off the red spot to see if he has won a convenience store, a gas station, doughnut shop, or a motel in Florida. :D

Angler, If you posted on that forum for a while before getting banned, you probably did untold amounts of damage to the clever tribe even if you did not mention their name. Keep up the good work and don't be discouraged.

Recluse, It's never a waste of time to post on these forums, there is much that can be done without getting banned. We are dealing with a herd, so herd 'em back with subtlety.

Franco, Bear in mind that gun owners and militia types have been subjected to so much smear that they are worried that our comments will give them an even worse image. They may fear that if they don't ban you, all gun owners will be labeled as a bunch of nazis. I try to mention Hollywood and the media in every post. They are somewhat receptive to remarks about those who are smearing them.

They banned me for [paraphrasing] "trolling" and "attacking one group of people..." [Jews].

After only one post, how would I be a troll?
