I've spent many hours searching for the truth of the events of 911. Among my searches was a Google advanced search for WTC COLLAPSE. I did not specify any particular language, and many hits came up in French, German, Italian, etc., which I was able to translate thru SYSTRAN.
I was particularly interested in #7, and where Larry Silversteinââ¬â¢s Investment Company.
Then I spotted one which was in Finnish, and I could not find a translation. I finally got this from a Forum in which I requested assistance. Here it is:

The US officials have told us that the reason for the collapse of WTC towers 1 & 2 and 47 story WTC-7 were fires. As far as the towers, the collapse was helped by the damage done by the 2 planes that hit the buildings. WTC 7 did not suffer significant damage even from the collapse of the 2 towers because it was located fairly far from them. Even still the reason for the collapse is logged as fire. FEMA says in its report that the WTC buildings are the first cases in history where steel framed high buildings collapsed mainly because of fires. The WTC complexââ¬â¢s shorter buildings 3, 4, 5 and 6 did not collapse, although some of them had fires also and they were badly affected by the rubble falling from the collapses. In the middle of WTC 6 a mysterious crater was formed.
Time Table
WTC 1 (North Tower) was struck by a plane from the north at 8:45 am at about the 93rd floor, the building collapsed at 10:29 am. WTC 2 (South Tower) was struck by a plane from the south at 9:03 am at about the 78-80th floors. The building collapsed at 9:50 am. The undamaged 47 story WTC 7 collapsed in the after noon at 5:20 pm.
7 weeks before the terror strikes Larry Silversteinââ¬â¢s Investment Company made a deal with The New York & New Jersey Port Authority for a 99 year lease for WTC buildings 1, 2, 4, 5 and a 400000 square feet shopping center underneath the WTC. Previously leased were buildings 3 and 6. Silverstein owned WTC 7 office building that he had built. Some experts and countless witnesses talked already at 9/11 for that WTC buildings came down by controlled explosions. (More about the statements later). FEMA ordered an investigation for the reasons of the collapses with The American Building Engineers Union straight translation The Engineers met restrictions and continuous interference from FEMA. The WTC blue prints were not given to the investigators prior to them signing a written promise that they wonââ¬â¢t sue authorities based on them. Parts of the blueprints were kept secret altogether. At the Clearing site of the ruins the investigators realized that they had no authority. The quick as possible clearing of the site was the priority. The investigation is extremely unbelievable and the respected firemen magazine Fire Engineering calls it a ââ¬Åhalf baked farceââ¬Â.
Critique of FEMAââ¬â¢s Investigation
An anonymous expert made the critique of FEMAS investigation and presented his own belief for the reasons for the collapse at nerdcities/guardian site. The investigation uses the name ââ¬ÅService coreââ¬Â for the supporting frame in the center of the towers (47 sturdy steel pillars) in where they refer that the elevators and the stairwells were located there. Almost like they wanted to downplay the importance of the weight carrying steel pillars. The smallest pillars in the service core were 40cm x 40 cm and the largest 45cm x 90 cm, while the ââ¬Åwallstrenghtââ¬Â I donââ¬â¢t know what that means were 10cm at the bottom and 2.5 cm at the top. The WTC towers were in their structure like pipes. Each of the 4 sides was built out of 59 steel pillars (welded square pipe) which were joined together at every floor by steel plates. Both towers were 110 floors high along with 7 stories underground. The north tower WTC 1 can be recognized from the communications mast on top of it. The towers were planned to withstand a boeing 707 4 engine passenger plane hit. FEMA claims with out providing any proof that the calculations were done with the assumptions that the plane would have hit the tower in landing phase with a low speed. This is very unlikely for just as well a plane can get lost towards the towers in a take off situation with a very high speed if the area is covered in fog. The calculations presented at the guardian pages of the energy projected from the hits show that the hit of WTC 1 is a little bit less than what a boeing 707 in cruise speed would have projected and the hit of WTC 2 is under 10% greater than a 707 hit. Further more professor Astaneh-Asl (University of California Berkley) has done a computer simulation of the hits and has concluded that the towers would have supported a faster, heavier 747 (Jumbo Jet) hit. One of the biggest problems of the WTC towers was a great wind load. Skyscrapers were like giant sails. The buildings were planned to withstand monster storms and hurricanes. FEMA presents in its study that the WTC towers floor support was left only for weak support frames. This is FEMAââ¬â¢s central claim. In theory these support frames broke from the fire and floors started to fall on top of each other and the chain reaction was started. Thatââ¬â¢sââ¬â¢ when the outside pillars started for bulge outwards due to the heat and with out the supports of the floors and the upper part from the impact spot started to fall.
The picture on the left is the support frame that the WTC 1 & 2 floors were supported according to FEMA. This kind of a flimsy construction cannot transfer the twist caused by the wind to the steel pillars in the center. Along with the support frame they must have used strong construction steel beams to join the outside walls to the centers pillars. If that was not done what follows is that during high winds the outer walls pipe structure starts to bend while the centers weight carrying structure stays put. Therefore floors start to buckle on the windy side of the building and on the opposite side the floor support might even break. One must notice that the FEMA report gives a totally different picture for the support of WTC 7. WTC 7 floor support according to FEMA was done exactly with sturdy construction steel beams. How could it be possible that a 47 story WTC is built accordingly with strong steel beams but 110 story WTC 1 and 2 only with flimsy support framesââ¬Â¦Ã¢â¬Â¦..

Other than structures bought down in controlled demolitions, these three buildings are the only steel framed skyscrapers, in the entire history of high rise buildings, to have suffered total collapse. The WTC withstood the airplanes impacts. I don't have any difficulty accepting the explanation that the jet fuel fire caused the collapse. A simple office fire wouldn't have been anything nearly as hot. Heat destroys the strength of concrete and steel.
I haven't see anything I'd accept as evidence that planted explosives brought down the towers. Although, I have long wondered why these "terrorists" like suicide so much. Planted explosives could have achieved similar results. Simply rent some office space and load them to the ceiling with explosives. Bring down the building without killing yourself. Think Tim McVeighs truck parked inside the building rather than outside (where most of the blast energy was simply wasted)

It will take a while to absorb this. Some looks new, other familiar.
A while back, I saw an article on the construction of the North and South Towers. I stressed a radical new approach to construction by a Japanese architecture firm.
Most skyscraper type buildings are erected by building a frame of steel girders, riveted/bolted/welded in place, than the outside of the building, the facade, is added. It is really not part of the supporting structure.
These new buildings use the outside (facade in the older buildings) as the main structure, and the floors are added by attaching to them. This leaves an unobstructed interior which is more efficient for office space, etc..
The theory is that the floors attach points to the exterior gave way and as one fell on the floor below, it collapsed due to the weight, and down it came like pancakes. The video of the collapse seems to support this. I'd like comments on this from you knowledgeable OD'ers.

Yes, the imaginative graphic reconstruction of the collapse has the trussed floors pancaking onto one another as the depicted central core yet stands - WHICH IS NOT WHAT HAPPENED. The core came down with the floors as if the building had been explosively demolished (which it evidently was).
In my judgement, the remaining question is whether the towers were brought down by charges planted in the basement after the previous bombing - or by charges installed in the buildings during construction in anticipation of the eventual demolition and replacement of the towers.

The airline "hijack" made credibly suggestible the presumptive and horrifying guilt, in the popular mind, of the anti-Zionist resistance, according to their record of successful hijackings - where the putative uncharacteristically expert and non-vehicular placement of so dramatically effective explosives by the latter might have aroused questions and suspicions. The clumsy planting of "evidence" and the sheep-dipping of the patsies, Atta & Co., was also facilitated by simulating preparations for a hijacking.
