Many contributors to National Vanguard have already commented on the promising signs coming from Russia lately. There is indeed a lot more nationalist activity going on there than we in the West can easily find out about. This is because most Russian nationalist publications and Web sites are exclusively in Russian. One site is alled "Russian House."

This group played a major role in the success of "Rodina," the nationalist party that won 9% of the vote in the recent State Duma elections. This organization in some ways resembles the National Alliance -- organizationally, not so much ideologically. This particular group is Orthodox Christian. However, to us the word "Christianity," since we have seen it hijacked by the enemies of the White race in our corner of the world, gives the wrong impression here. Their slogan, the words of an Orthodox Russian Saint, is "Love Thine Enemies, Smash the Enemies of the Fatherland, Shun the Enemies of God." Readers of their journal are called upon to become "Christian warriors for Russia."

The goals of this one organization, much like those of the Alliance, are to reach as many people as possible with their alternative media, bring together as many patriotic journalists as possible and form a "Patriotic Press." They already have small radio and television programs and various printed materials, which are all accessible from their Web site.

I quote from their media outreach page (my translation from original Russian):

"Friends. We don't have the support of the oligarchs, or of the government. But we do have a love for our homeland -- for Russia. We have our small radio and television programs, low-circulation newspapers and magazines, informational publications and brochures. We are simply obligated to unite our efforts and attempt to break through the current mood in society to our advantage. In Russia, nobody cares about the Russians, Alas! Russians themselves have no care for their own fate! It has come time to take leave of apathy and indifference!"

Here is an excerpt from the Russian House journal concerning the victory of Rodina (my translation from Russian):

"The main and most happy sensation is without a doubt the smashing victory of the people's/patriotic bloc ‘Rodina,’ which took above 9% of the votes. Russian House from the very beginning took part in the formation of the bloc Rodina, actively fought with our political and spiritual enemies in the mass media; Russian House brigades led dozens of meetings with voters during the short period of the election campaign. The whole struggle for victory we led according to the word of noble Alexander Nevsky [an ancient hero of Russia -- Ed.] ‘Not in strength is God, but in Truth.’ The signal victory of Rodina, the deputees who will occupy that space, which SPS and Yabloko [liberal parties] have been squeezed out of, means a change in the minds of Russian citizens in the direction of renewed health for our nation and our society. Of the parties victorious in the elections, only Rodina has a solid and clear position regarding the defence of Russian Orthodoxy, as the leading religion of Russia, and of the rights and interests of the Russian Church. I'd be a lot happier if Germany, France, and England were "nationalizing"
