ADL INSULTS CHRISTIANS OVER MEL GIBSON FILM; APOLOGY REQUESTED
The following letter was faxed to ADL National Director Abraham Foxman today:
Mr. Abraham Foxman National Director ADL 823 United Nations Plaza New York, New York 10017
Dear Mr. Foxman:
Regarding the Mel Gibson movie, ââ¬ÅThe Passion of the Christ,ââ¬Â you were quoted on January 23 in the Los Angeles Times saying, ââ¬Å[Gibson is] hawking it on a commercial crusade to the churches of this country. Thatââ¬â¢s what makes it dangerous.ââ¬Â
This is very disturbing. To say the film is dangerous because the people who are previewing it are church-going Christians is an insult to practicing Christians. The subtext of this remark is that church-going Christians are latent anti-Semitic bigots ready to lash out at Jews at any given moment.
As president of the nationââ¬â¢s largest Catholic civil rights organization, I am requesting that you make a public apology immediately. Thank you for your consideration.

A lot of Catholics support Donohoe and his organization, including yours truly.

It is reported that he'll be adding the following disclaimer to his film; to be wedged between the end of the final scene and the scrolling credits: "During the Roman occupation, 250,000 Jews were crucified by the Romans, but only One rose from the dead."
The disclaimer is being touted by Christian Zionists as something that will "stop those who might use the movie to incite Jew-hatred." Gibson adding pro-Jewish ending to 'Passion'?

How is that "pro-Jewish"? Christians believe that Jesus rose from the dead on the third day. No other Jewish person has done that, so the final scene is accurate.

Like the 6 million the 250,000 figure was taken out of thin air.
There's no source given; where does the 250,000 come from? Those super duper Romans (very much like the diabolically insane Nazis) must have been very busy crucifying all those poor, (always) innocent jews -- the entire thing must have lasted decades!
