[B]Israeli Troops Wound American Wall Protester Day after Christmas [/B]

JERUSALEM -- Friday, December 26, 2003
In the holy city of Jerusalem, on December 26th, 2003, the day after Christmas, Israeli troops terribly wounded at least two wall protestors Friday afternoon in a protest against the controversial barrier wall that is under construction along the West Bank. An American woman protesting against the apartheid wall was one of those wounded.
400 Palestinians and 150 foreign activists, including many Israeli citizens, took part in the wall protest.
ââ¬Â¢The Israeli soldier strong hold wounded seventeen protesters and killed a Palestinian teenager during clash with stone throwers along the steel barriers. ââ¬Â¢The Palestinian teenager was killed on Saturday as the Israeli strong hold maintained their reigning ring of steel around occupied Palestine in the aftermath of a Christmas Day suicide bombing. ââ¬Â¢Five-hundred or more wall protesters climbing and/or possibly cutting the fence in an attempt to get to the Israeli occupied side were fired upon by Israeli armed forces injuring an American woman and an Israeli citizen.
During the wall protest Israeli soldiers did not try other methods to stop protesters from climbing the fence, such as tear gas, high-pressure water hoses or even rubber bullets.
