The site, [url]http://www.liberationgraphics.com[/url], was the focus of a major Dec. 3 Washington Post feature story about its display of posters supporting Arab attacks on Israel. The site also includes extensive commentary asserting that the posters are not antisemitic and not necessarily even anti-Israel. The China controversy concerns a poster on the web site, which was published by the Chinese government in 1970. According to the web site, the poster "portrays five Palestinian militants launching into an attack." The accompanying text states: "Though allied with Palestine, China is not an enemy of Israel; the relationship is more complex. China practiced an 'open door' policy during World War II that provided desperately needed safe haven for many Jewish refugees from Shanghai, and elsewhere in Asia." Dr. Rafael Medoff, director of the David S. Wyman Institute for Holocaust Studies, has sent a letter to the web site, asking that the text be corrected. Dr. Medoff wrote: "[I][COLOR=Red]Large areas of China were under Japanese military occupation from 1931 until 1945, and immigration to Shanghai was controlled by the Japanese government, not the Chinese. The Japanese permitted thousands of German and Austrian Jews to settle in Shanghai during the 1930s, and allowed Polish Jewish refugees to settle there in 1940-1941. Many of the latter were able to escape Hitler thanks to the courageous efforts of Japan's acting consul-general in Lithuania, Sugihara Chiune (and his close ally, Dutch consul Jan Zwartendijk). Historians estimate that altogether, about 18,000 Jews were saved from the Holocaust because of Japan's -- not China's -- Shanghai policy[/COLOR].[/I]"One Chinese government official has been honored by Yad Vashem (Israel's central Holocaust memorial and documentation center) for assisting Jews during the Nazi era -- Ho Fengshan, the Chinese consul-general in Vienna, who helped Austrian Jews emigrate during 1938-1940. But Ho Fengshan was a representative of the Nationalist Chinese (those who now rule Taiwan), not the Communist Chinese, so his efforts cannot be cited as evidence that today's China 'is not an enemy of Israel'. "It is therefore incorrect for your web site to suggest that China saved Jews from the Holocaust, or to use the Shanghai episode to demonstrate that contemporary China 'is not an enemy of Israel'....We urge you to correct your web site's misrepresentation of this aspect of Holocaust history."

They simply have no regard for people other than themselves. That 18,000 Jews were allowed to live by the Japanese counts while during that same period the Japanese managed to kill more than 20 million Chinese is a matter of no concern to them.
Somehow that more than 1000 Chinese died for every Jew rescued by the Japanese is to be forgotten or dismissed as being of no consequence. I am not America's greatest expert on the Far East, but I am absolutely sure the Chinese will not forget this insolence by Jews and how little other Americans protested this effrontery. I ask that those who wish please post this on websites they may be interested.

LOL. Aint that the truth.
It's one of the serious shortcomings of Americans in general, and you learn a little about this when you do business internationally, that Asians and other races absolutely do not think anything like we do right across the board. There's no common cultural or historical denominator that we share on any level, with the possible exception of cold, hard cash. Yet the Bush administration and his demonic ideologues believe we can 'export democracy' and 'universal human rights' to all races, creeds and colors. What those code phrases really mean is money and control. Can't truss it.

Ditto, in a big way.
Especially the part about "cold, hard cash."
My work introduced me to the various tribes that contend for power in the world. The greatest of them are probably the Jews, with honorable mention going to the Armenians and Parsis who are forces to be reckoned in their respective niches.
The only tribe that really rivals and maybe even surpasses the Jews in terms of money and global is the Overseas Chinese. The Chinese diaspora in Southeast Asia is an ASTONISHING group. These people have enormous wealth and power, and unlike the Jews they tend strongly to hide it well. They're not ostentatious, but boy are they ever rich. And they're nepostic as hell. Singapore is their capital, and Lee Kuan Yu is their great national hero (he truly is a towering visionary - I wish we whites had one just like him).
I think that the Jews and the Overseas Chinese haven't entered into direct competition yet, but that's bound to happen at some point. Sparks are sure to fly.

There have obviously been men of this caliber and greater to have come along - but the zhid power structure makes sure those men are cut off at the knees before they can get rolling. With things getting worse and worse, the jews will soon find it impossible to stop the right man when he does step forward. He will probably arise out of the dust of the coming collapse.

As if the Japs didn't have anything else to do at the time and so decided to protect Jews from those bad Germans, Japan's ally, by importing them to China, a country THEY wanted to control. And all based on a "holocaust" that didn't happen.

Lee Kuan Yu is a thug. He may have done wonders for Singapore but he's done it by creating a totalitarian society in which everyone's life is closely controlled. But then, it's a typical Asian society ruled by another emperor.
It always amazes me that people who claim to value freedom are so eager to be ruled with an iron fist as long as the fist is White. Bush is White. How do you like things so far?
