Cost me one kidney and promise of a future-born, but...:
(American artist, moved to Amsterdam in 1963; lived there on a large boat in a canal, where he drew these amazing pieces...all titled: "The Logbook of the `Ship Henry David Thoreau'"; he drowned beneath his boat, doing underwater repairs--was a master scuba diver, but was also overweight at 56 years old). I bought 35 of his Logbook pages in 1996 and someone just offered me a deal I couldn't refuse on 10 more.
