Seems the ever-lovely SPLC's list of the "40 to watch" (are you listening, Mr.Ashcroft? Make with the phone taps and surveilllance! Get busy!) is now out, and it's got such a cast of anti-Semites you wouldn't believe, with a few darker-hued bush-leaguers thrown in for diversity's sake, I guess.
Sam Francis and Alex Linder are both featured as being in the top-40 hit parade of all-time haters. Mr. Francis even has Linder beat by nine spots! He comes in at number ten: White Supremacist, wedged between Klansman and Neo-Nazi.
"Sliding down three spots to number nineteen this week is Alex Linder. This is Kasey Kasem for the SPLC counting down the goys."
Does this mean we can expect hugs all around between VDare and VNN now that they're equally "guilty?"

I certainly don't relish a senseless 'flame war', but when my attention is drawn to the daily attacks that flow non-stop from the pages of VNN on both the tactics you advocate above, as well as the traditional belief-system that is the foundation of the greater paleo-con world view, I can only conclude that the issue is far from settled, but still quite at odds. Further, I think no one is well served, from our members to every lurker, by trying to gloss over what appear to be fundamental differences. Choices must be made and hopefully discussions here can facilitate that by clarifying the issues involved.

Great list. That picture of Sam Francis is starting to get very old.
The blackies are in there for good measure. Wonder how come Rabbi Schiller isn't mentioned? I know the ADL is always "distancing" itself from Kach, etc.

One SPLC technique that's a little annoying (besides their overall goal of destroying our race) is the lump-'em-all-in. Big difference between Jared Taylor and, ahem, Bill White. Easily discerned strategy: Sure, there are some smarties in here, but they're rollin' down in the pig slop with these tattooed freaks!

The thought did cross my mind when posting. I have no intention of initiating such, but a brushfire could flare up, yes. Hopefully, the regulars on such threads have run outta things to say back and forth.

True, but it seems we're all n***ers on the international Jewish plantation, with the Bush and Ashcroft brigade merely the most recent of our overseers.
I was being facetious of course and don't expect any rapport to develop as a result of this ridiculous list between, say, Francis and Linder, any more than I would expect Gliebe and Linder to start getting chummy.
I have advocated the value of the Francis approach not because it wins any points with the SPLC or the ADL (who will hate people like us just for the crime of existing), but because I believe it wins points with the lukewarm but open-minded fence-sitters, who are the very people we're trying to reach.
I value the same approach for the same reasons, and you're right that our mere existence draws ire. Of course, none is punished or smeared so severely as those who have strayed out of the reeducation camp, whether a toe outside the concertina wire or a full-blown mad dash out the front gate, complete with flinging of feces back into the perimeter.
Obviously, this list is an attempt to lump anyone with serious WN feelings in with the cartoon Nazi brigade, but it may have the added benefit of making the more moderate types react in a strident manner, and thus easier to portray as a drooling, Nazi, hater.

Looking at the site, I am struck not so much by the malice and dishonesty as by the sheer stupidity displayed. Yeah, what is a "neo-Confederate"? And what is the SPLC criteria for distinguishing a "white nationalist" from a "white supremacist"?
I guess the heavy focus on guys with Confederate-flag backdrops, Sons of Confederate Veterans, etc. is the, ahem, southern bias of the SPLC. Wait'll they meet the Yankee racists.
