Putin the New Saddam?

By Eric Kraus Emboldened by their historic propaganda success -- the creation ex nihilo of a justification for the U.S. invasion of Iraq completely unsanctioned by international law -- members of the dangerous Washington faction with deep links to the security services and the military-industrial complex, the dread Bushoviki, have identified a new "terrorist threat": President Vladimir Putin.

The means they are now deploying are strikingly similar: planted "intelligence," manipulation of public opinion by tame journalists and "nonprofit foundations," as well as the insidious repetition of evident lies on the assumption that at least something will stick.

In a recent op-ed piece in the increasingly reactionary Washington Post, Bruce Jackson, president of the innocuous sounding Project on Transitional Democracies, accuses Putin not just of re-establishing a tsarist state, but of the supreme crime of opposing U.S. political and economic interests in Russia's historic sphere of influence: the CIS. After long service in the weapons trade (Lockheed, Martin), Jackson is now a hatchet-man for the Bush administration. A member of the far-right Project of the New American Century, he serves with the likes of Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle and Donald Rumsfeld. Jackson was instrumental in rounding up support for the Iraq war with a stealth attack, corralling East European presidents into signing the notorious letter of the "Vilnius 10."

All is fair in love and (propaganda) war. In a crass insult to the world's Jews, Jackson deploys one of the most cynical foreign policy ploys of the Bushoviki: the callous exploitation of anti-Semitism, demeaning the sufferings of the Jewish people by reducing the term "anti-Semitism" to an epithet for any regime inimical to U.S. interests.

Jackson notes that three of the business magnates who came to a sticky end are Jewish, but neglects to mention that so were six of the original seven oligarchs, as well as 90 percent of those who currently qualify for the oligarch title. Given the ratios, the real surprise would have been if the fallen angels had been, say, Orthodox Hindus.

Nowhere, of course, does Jackson mention the dozens of Russian Jewish businessmen currently building their businesses, attracting foreign partners, and enjoying all the good things that Russia's resurrection has brought. It is ironic that of the spinmeisters warning of the anti-Semitic threat coming from Russia not one, to my knowledge, is a Jew.

Mikhail Khodorkovsky has managed to shake off a profoundly unenviable reputation in a very short time. In fairness, Yukos, acquired for some $300 million in the notorious loans-for-shares auctions and still largely controlled through a cascade of offshore vehicles, has proved to be an absolute star in recent years. But it is Khodorkovsky's generous funding of various U.S. neo-conservative causes, in part through his Open Russia foundation (one of the board members of which is Henry Kissinger, responsible inter alia for the Pinochet coup and the illegal, secret war that devastated Cambodia), that has given him with access to the most reactionary elements of the Bush administration -- Perle, Dick Cheney et al. -- all of whom are now lobbying furiously for the oligarch's interests.

What is less clear is why Khodorkovsky was naive enough to share their characteristic misconception that U.S. writ runs across the entire planet, and that support from Washington would solve his increasingly grave problems at home. Certainly, if his U.S. backers convinced him of this, they have done him a major disservice.

Yukos was the first Russian company to understand the profound changes brought about by the Putin government: with safety of ownership regardless of past misdeeds and a stable political and economic backdrop, far greater wealth could be built by increasing company valuations than by stripping assets. Emulation of their examples has fueled a historic boom in equity prices.

Most of Khodorkovsky's peers thought the concessions demanded in return (payment of taxes and an end to the meddling in politics) were a small price to pay. It is deeply unfortunate that Yukos increasingly sought to build its influence, not just in the oil fields and capital markets, but by buying control of the State Duma.

On Thursday, Putin met with the heads of the major investment banks, reassuring them about the future direction of reform. With arch-reformer German Gref smiling at his side, he was uncompromising in his message that he would attack corruption wherever it was found -- be it in the bureaucracy, private sector or Duma -- but that minority Yukos shareholders' interests would be zealously protected. He was forceful, lucid and remarkably well-briefed on market issues. Vitally, Putin reiterated that there was no question of a generalized attack upon the other oligarchs nor a revision of the results of privatization -- historically, those who have ignored his words have done so at their own cost.

The president also announced the dismantling of the Gazprom ring-fence "in a matter of months." The impact of this move may well outweigh the unarguably negative effects of the Yukos saga. Opening Gazprom to foreign investment would overnight almost double Russia's weighting in the main benchmark, the MSCI Index, mechanically driving a huge wave of buying by foreign funds.

Looking beyond the current turbulence, the vital issue affecting Russia's progress over the next four years is not the fate of one oligarch, but the upcoming Duma elections. Polls show a sharp rise in the popularity of Putin's party, which is set to win a sizeable majority in the next parliament. A clear victory would renew the bold reform drive which characterized the start of his presidency, before the Duma succumbed to oligarchic lobbying.

Russia has historically done best when it relied on its own internal strengths -- Jackson's coalition-of-the-available may huff and puff, but Putin's house is made of stone.

============================================================ Russian, Germany and France may be the last hope for Western Civilization. The Anglo/American/Zionist Alliance has pretty much run the show since World War One and the Balfour Declaration.

Bringing criminal Jews to justice is the first step: instilling an honest economy and developing national resources for the benefit of the people are a must for any truly representative government. It's telling that the Bushovikis are attacking Putin as a terrorist.

The War Against Nationhood

The collision of the national and transnational ideas as the essence of events taking place in the world

by Colonel V.V. Naumov Russky Vestnik No. 5, 27 February 2003 Translated from the Russian

The events of the first months of the third year of the new millennium once again confirm the conclusion I've repeated many times: The balance of power in the world, violated by the dismemberment of Greater Russia (the Soviet Union), is becoming ever more shaky. We're sliding gradually into war and chaos -- the necessary preconditions for the emergence of the new world order planned by those forces which now control Western Judeo-Christian (anti-Christian) civilization.

The example of the Iraq crisis convinces us that these forces, the "behind-the-scenes manipulators" (mirovaya zakulisa), or "world government", will stop at nothing to achieve world domination. The necessity of sacrificing hundreds of millions of dwellers of Planet Earth, those not included in the ranks of the "golden billion" of the world government's chosen loyal subjects, and even the possibility of the deaths of tens of millions from among the "golden billion" itself, won't stop them. On the contrary, it appears that such an outcome is not only acceptable to them, but desirable.

It's become clear today that the USA, with its still enormous economic and military might, has become a blind instrument in the hands of these "behind-the-scenes manipulators" of history. At present this instrument plays the important role, by implementing the manipulators' strategy, but at a certain point it too will be sacrificed and destroyed. Large, complex, powerful and expensive states which claim an independent role in world processes will with time become superfluous and dangerous for the world government. The expense of maintaining them in a world populated by weak, denationalized, miniature pseudo-states, which will come to replace national governments in the new world order, will no longer be justified. All the more so since these pseudo-states will exist under the watchful eye of the military/police force of a one-world economic, informational and theocratic dictatorship of an initiated minority. However this all lies in the future, if, of course, the predatory designs of the new world order architects come to fruition. Today the USA, acting in violation of its own national interests, is functioning as a battering-ram for the new world order project, crushing the spiritual, economic and military/political foundations of the world's major civilizations and nation-states. Today the USA, as outlined in its National Security Strategy for 2002, is striving to "bring democracy, free markets and trade to every corner of the world." They're doing it with typically American brazenness, ignorance and high-handedness, interpreting any disagreement as a threat to their national interests. These notorious US national interests, which on closer examination turn out to be the interests of the transnational world government, force the North American behemoth to act in ways which challenge common sense, often placing it in a lose-lose situation, where the USA is left with a choice between bad and worse. Let's take the example of the Iraq crisis. In light of the open-ended crusade against mythical world terrorism announced by Bush this crisis can't do otherwise than turn into an aggressive war against Iraq. Ignoring the opinion of the UN, longstanding US allies in the NATO block, China and the Islamic countries, The US has placed itself in a position of having to make war just to maintain its self-created myth of irreplaceable world leader. The US is striving to solve by military means many problems, among which are its ruinous financial condition and the impending crash of the worldwide dollar-based economy. Today they're trying to use all the might accumulated in previous periods of prosperity to create that international order which will preserve their leading position and prosperity into the foreseeable future. It's too late to achieve this by peaceful means: If that possibility once existed it's been hopelessly lost now. Washington has no choice but to make war, unaware what the coming day has in store for it. What's more, it's already clear to many that the Iraq war won't save the American economy, and the conduct of the American military threatens America with a complete loss of face, for it will be unsuccessful in the long term. It's already clear that after Iraq (where a "quick victory" could be followed by an exhausting partisan war), they'll have no choice but to keep on fighting, inasmuch as the number of enemies, both real and imagined, will only multiply, and the USA will be internally weakened, having lost its numerous friends, allies and influence in the world. Even now one can predict that the American mantra about international terrorism will become self-fulfilling after a strike against Iraq. International terrorism, driven by the US's actions, will take on new life. Gradually, with each new conflict, the aureole of American military might will become further tarnished: One can bomb tank divisions and underground bunkers from the sky, but it's impossible to control a territory and a population without significant forces on the ground. Occupation, in turn, means constant attrition of personnel. Afghanistan demonstrated that perfectly. No matter how hard the Americans try to hide this fact, their monthly losses in Afghanistan today already exceed the monthly losses of the Soviet Army there in the eighties. And their successes have been more than modest. As Khamid Karzai sits in Kabul guarded by American special forces, military skirmishes continue unabated in the provinces; the country has for all practical purposes lost its territorial integrity and fallen apart into mutually-hostile fiefdoms. Heroin production has risen 5 times in comparison with the levels that existed under the Taliban. So Iraq is a dead-end for America in all respects, but they rush headlong into battle in the hope of buying time, stave off the crash of the financial system, and bolster industrial production. The populations of the US and its allies are offered yet another myth: Iraqi oil will meet the US's needs into the next century. As Alexander Suvorov liked to say, "Lord have mercy. You can't sprint through a century, and its end is out of sight." Something will happen. ... And though the US is mighty, there are other players on the world oil market.

No, war will bring the US neither ringing victories nor economic prosperity.

Nonetheless, the US has made its choice, or rather the choice has been made for it by those transnational forces which rule that country. It's they who've doomed the US to continue the Fourth World War begun by them. For us it's important to understand that this world war won't leave our Fatherland untouched. Ongoing disruption of the world's balance of power and increasing political chaos only serve to confirm this conclusion. It's also confirmed by the basic military/political strategic documents adopted by the present US administration and inherited from the previous one. Thus, according to the US's new military strategy, the main theater of war will be energy- and resource-rich Asia (including the very resource-rich Siberia). In accordance with the current Directive of the US National Security Council No. 20/1, "The Goals of the US in Regard to Russia", the US must strive not to permit the rebirth of the Russian Federation (Great Russia) as a great power capable of becoming the gravitational center of the post-Soviet region.

The US's current actions with regard to the Russian Federation correspond exactly to the demands of that directive: "We must create automatic guarantees that even a non-communist and nominally friendly regime:

a) will not be militarily powerful; b) will be economically dependent on the outside world; c) will not enjoy serious power over the main national minorities." Under the pretext of the battle with the straw man of world terrorism, the USA has established its military bases in the republics of Central Asia and is preparing the infrastructure for basing its troops in the Transcaucasus, the Ukraine, and the Baltic States. We already know that the USA has no plans to significantly reduce its troop strength in the Persian Gulf, which was built up for the war against Iraq. Those forces will be reassigned and a significant part of the personnel and weaponry will be moved into the neighborhood of Russia's transparent southern borders, the former republics of the Soviet Union. In recent months several groups of official US representatives, during working visits to Russia, raised the matter of the possibility of locating US Army troops on our territory, basing this on the need to increase joint efforts in battling mythical international terrorism. Earlier there were reports of meetings and negotiations between a number of politicians from the so-called liberal spectrum (they used to be called "democrats") with representatives of the American administration and intelligence. The subject of these talks was the possibility of introducing American and NATO peacekeeping/security (read occupation) forces onto the territory of the Russian Federation for the purpose of taking Russia's nuclear arsenal under control.

None of this can leave us indifferent. Especially when we consider what happened after the appearance of US forces in Afghanistan. There it has become perfectly clear that the the end goal of the open-ended operation with the code name "Unlimited Justice" was really control over Eurasia. The center of the US's aspirations today is neither Afghanistan, nor Iraq, nor Iran, but the "heart of the world", the connecting link between Europe and Asia. We're talking about our native land, bounded roughly by the Volga to the West and the Ob and Irtish to the East. By God's will we're the owners of the "heart of the world", and continue to exert a deciding influence on the course of human history, even under the management of today's mediocre colonial administration. This is unacceptable to those self-appointed lords of the Earth who're using the state machinery of the USA as an instrument to achieve world dominion (the creation of the Judeo-American kingdom of the antichrist). Only one thing remains for us to do - to remember Napoleon's first axiom: "He who has land will have wars." To remember, and to prepare for war in fundamental fashion.

What conclusions can we draw from the developing situation? We'll not succeed in avoiding war. What's more, the more we protest our obedience and peaceableness, the more our so-called "leaders" lick the boots of officials in Washington the weaker we will become, the sooner the enemy will invade our territory and the the greater will be the rage and cruelty with which predators great and small will begin tearing us to pieces, each rushing to get what he can while he can. The weak have no friends in this world. The wealth of the weak inflames the appetites of predators. And we're at once weak -- and fabulously rich.

Today only a mentally-impaired person could fail to understand that we will continue to get weaker and weaker if we leave the current colonial administration in place, consisting as it does of friends and tender partners of the USA. These "friends", "partners" and assorted degenerates will take Russia to the point of complete dismemberment if given a free hand, inasmuch as the behind-the-scenes manipulators desire precisely such a fate for our country. They fear us and will do everything in their power to prevent the rebirth of Russia as a powerful and unified state. We find confirmation of this in the statements of prominent figures in Western Judeo-Christian (anti-Christian) civilization, and in a whole range of American military, intelligence and administration documents, where various scenarios for the dismemberment of the Russian Federation are described.

It follows that the deputies of the world government who currently govern our country must be removed from power.

How? There are many ways. We have only to remember that the fate of Russia has never been decided at the ballot box. Who will bring this about? Each one of us who holds Russia and the fate of her descendants dear.

No. Russia will not die by dismemberment. Many have said and written this before me. Russia will once again stand and begin to gather together the pieces of her shattered empire, return once again to her true historical path. But the price will be high, frighteningly high, both for the Russian people and all the other peoples and tribes of Russia. They'll try to tear us to pieces; one conqueror will follow in the footsteps of another, for Russia is such an enormous prize. But no one will overcome her, and many will come to grief in the trying.

But if such dismemberment were, God forbid, to take place, humanity itself would be the main victim, humanity which in one fell swoop would be deprived of its right to live and develop, preserving the unique national identity of its peoples. A humanity deprived of Russia would soon descend into bloody chaos into the unfettered dictatorship of worldwide evil, the kingdom of the antichrist. Hundreds of millions of Planet Earth's residents would perish. The gates will open on a prolonged, bloody new era in human history. Only the restoration of a strong Russia (not the rump "Russian Federation", but Russia in its three hypostases: Great, Little, and White Russia) can prevent this apocalyptic scenario from coming to pass. Such a Russia will offer humanity light to replace the impenetrable darkness of of the Judeo-American new world order. Russia has already trod this path, having created in the course of her development a unique brotherhood of nations, Orthodox-Slavic civilization. Remember how many ethnic groups, tribes, and stateless and state-creating nations were gathered, absorbed and saved from destruction at the hands of predatory neighbors by Russia? Was a single nation lost, annihilated, forcibly baptized, or subjected to forcible Russification? No, this never happened in Russian history. We always saved, defended, and generously shared what we had with other nations, enriching them spiritually and culturally. And the fact that twice in the bloody 20th Century Russia was imploded from within by the worldwide forces of evil [in 1917, ... and 1991 -- Webmaster], exploiting the trustfulness and kindness of the nation-building Russian people, is the best confirmation of that fear which Russia and the path of development which she offers humanity arouse in those forces of evil.

Our task today is to once again become strong. We're obligated to do this, in order to save our people and all humanity from irredeemable loss and unbearable suffering. We will be able to do this only by throwing off the cosmopolitan baggage weighing us down and relying solely on the national uniqueness of the peoples making up Orthodox Slavic civilization. Only by returning to our special Russian path will we achieve victory, and everything which prevents us from doing so must be mercilessly cast off. All those today who do not desire to see a strong and great Russia must be regarded as the servants of dark forces and the enemies of mankind. There can no longer be room for doubters on this score. The time of action draws near. **

Great post, Perun,

For freedom to survive in the world another Andrew Jackson must emerge on the American political scene, a patriot who will not only name the Jew but deprive the creature of power. Such a saviour is likely to come from a military background outside the establishment.

Pat Buchanan and his "Pitchfork Brigade" of disgruntled GOP YUPPIES are cretainly not the answer. In the end, they will come crawling back to the Bushovikis.

Perun, great post. I see that Colonel Naumov doesn't show too much faith in Putin. Is this true? Otherwise I find the Colonel's message to be serious and thought provoking. It's unfortunate that ordinary working Americans are prisoners to the lusts of our Judeo masters' plans for New World Order. Sooner or later we'll soon reap the consequences of the highest perfidy committed by aliens seeking Armegeddon.

The Colonel's speech reminded me of a Soviet-era movie titled "Alexander Nevsky", where the 13th Century prince rallied the other Russian cities to defend "Mother Russia" against Teutonic invaders.

Probally. Most Russian nationalists don't have much faith in Putin, despite what US media reports say.

Yes that was a good film, even though it was directed by a Jew(Sergei Eisenstein).

Yes but if the current square-off is Putin vs Khodorkovsky then who do you side with? To me it's a no-brainer, irrespective of Putin's negatives. That the Bush White House has now drawn devil horns on Putin only cinches the deal.

The two articles posted on this thread constitute a perfect example of WHY most Americans can't make head or tail of what's going on in the world. Kraus is so unrelentingly toadying to jews in tone you can barely tell he's anti-oligarch. When Kraus speaks of

"...planted "intelligence," manipulation of public opinion by tame journalists and "nonprofit foundations," as well as the insidious repetition of evident lies on the assumption that at least something will stick"

he shoots himself in the foot (while trying to cover his ass) with boilerplate like

"In a crass insult to the world's Jews, Jackson deploys one of the most cynical foreign policy ploys of the Bushoviki: the callous exploitation of anti-Semitism, demeaning the sufferings of the Jewish people..."

Similarly, while Naumovis dead on speaking of

"war and chaos -- the necessary preconditions for the emergence of the new world order planned by those forces which now control Western Judeo-Christian (anti-Christian) civilization"

he too falls into the trap of 'give em some truth, larded with bullshit' of

"A humanity deprived of Russia would be deprived of its right to live and develop, (and) would soon descend into bloody chaos into the unfettered dictatorship of worldwide evil. We always saved, defended, and generously shared what we had with other nations, enriching them spiritually and culturally...."

which will come as news to the Czechs, Poles and Hungarians.

The hour is growing late- far too late to continue stirring in feel-good pablum to make the medicine taste better. This confuses people, this business of 'tell the truth, now back up and tell a happy-face lie; repeat"

Man, I miss Hitler, who at least never bullshitted the world promising them rose gardens or writing paeans to honest Jews as a precursor for attacking them. Just tell the ugly unvarnished truth, boys - I guarantee the novelty of plain-spoken truth in 2003 will be so shockingly novel you will prick up more ears than you would with a million columns like the two above.

I heard a rumor from my old Russian friend that Khodorkovsky is the grandson of Jewish Bolshevik Sverdlov.

He couldn't confirm its veracity, but it strikes me as oddly plausible.

This rumor seems to be getting legs in Russia, according to my friend.

I wish our dickless press would check that one out, not that they ever will. It sure would be interesting if that were in fact that case.

What's interesting is that one of my friends showed me a program he taped on PBS where they talked about the influence of the Oligarchs in Russia. I must say I found it revolting at some points as it protrayed them as somewhat like "heroes" leading Russia on a new course and how the "New Russians"(westernized elites that is) have pratically turned Moscow into a new Time Square. Or one Oligarch they interviewed partically buying off historial buildings around Red Square and transforming them into Americanized apartment buildings. This while the vast majority of Russians are struggling just to get by day by day. Not suprisingly, they didn't mention that most of these jackasses are Jews.

I say Russia needs another Ivan the Terrible to set these assholes in their place!
